      I find some Timeless products to be quite fantastic as well. They are less expensive than Maelove and also on the list. My channel is not just on products but rather more on education on what works and what ingredients to look for and what to avoid when making choices and much more.
      Thanks for watching though! 💛🌷

      I totally agree. I love and go by ingredients and the order that are listed. I checked out a lot of these luxury products and the key ingredients are listed at the end of a very, very long list which means that the amount of the key ingredients are minimum. So you are paying for fancy wording and a bunch of oils. I have a license and I know what to look for. Good skin care doesn’t have to be $500 a jar. Im 68 years old and my skin looks amazing. I do use medical grade skincare backed up by science and a lot of research.

    OMG! $747 for one ounce😮 I’m all for peptides, but with this economy, I don’t have a chance getting the first two brands. Thank you for showing other options. I truly appreciate some of the brands that you showed. Some don’t ship to Canada, some have costly shipping and duty charges, but I can see myself buying one time as a special treat for my skin. Thank you!

    Omg Desi, thank you so much for this video!!! I went down the Skin Perfection website rabbit hole and just wow… I wasn’t too sure about DIY but they have all the supplies and sanitizing instructions.
    The exciting thing about it is that we get to know the % of peptides. Like Maelove for example, we don’t know the % of peptides do we? AND there are so many exciting peptides to explore such as Pepha®️-Tight, Relistase®️-Peptide, Tens’Up™️ and Uplevity™️Peptides to name a few!
    We can be our own peptide designers! Thank you so much for sharing this incredible resource ♥️🙏🏼.

    Auteur Definitive Line Serum is my holy grail item. I rank it up there with P50 (1970) but that's a different category. I have had marionette lines most of my life and I'm shocked at what a difference it makes. I'm not sure if I'd trade my retin-A for it -- it's that good!! Thanks for reviewing Auteur earlier this year.

    Desi, I have purchased the auteur exploration set (all sample packs for $28 so I bought two) and included are several packets of the line serum. I remember you telling me it's a game changer. Here's my question: You're supposed to put the serum on a dry face so assuming it's the first thing I would put on after I wash my face. Here's the thing: I always use several hydrating toners/essences followed by my GF serums and other peptide products before applying any moisturizers. I will often layer moisturizers too where I go from gel to a mid weight moisturizer and finally to something more occlusive.
    Will simply adding the line serum at the very start work in my routine? I do not limit my use of products to one brand but rather I use multiple brands (Emepelle, K beauty, calecim, avene, la Roche posay, Augustinus Bader, La Mer, Reviv, etc)
    Thank you so much for your wonderful videos!

    How do you know the concentration level of the peptides?

    • @desistark
      @desistark  День тому

      Some brands disclose the % of peptides on their website nowadays but if not: you can tell by how low on the ingredient list they are. If they are on the bottom and especially if the first 3 ingredients are Aqua (water), Glycerin & Dimethicone: usually a clear indication that the product contains a very small dosage.

    This video is super helpful as I try to understand the role of peptides! I’m currently using Auteur line serum in the evenings but not sure if I see improvement yet or not? Maybe a little? Also bought the Auteur lifting toner. Although I love the feel of it, I’m not sure what it does for my skin??? Do I apply line serum first? Also, what do you think of Auteur sun drops? I’m currently using your Josiah sunscreen recommendation under makeup but am wondering which one you prefer? And finally, please do an updated morning routine video:)

      At night only: start with the Auteur toner. It preps the skin so the Line Serum penetrates your skin even better but it also has a lifting, firming effect. Apply Line serum after by pressing into skin. Layer other products over (finish with moisturizer). Skincare that works needs a minimum of 3 months…
      The Sun Drops are a watery oil. They make your skin hydrated and glowy and you can use them instead of a moisturizer too. I find it difficult to put makeup immediately on top though. But perfect for no makeup days with a touch of powder.

    Desi, you really look amazing. You said you've had no surgeries? Can the micro current really do this much to reshape the face? Because your face looks so different from the before and after, it's really incredible. This is a game changer because it means we no longer need to spend a ton of money getting procedures from doctors office. I got a micro current device myself last week and I thought it was just me imagining it but I can see my face reshaping! I want to be careful not to reduce facial fat pads, but other than that I think it looks firmer already! Kind of shocked actually that this works so well!!! Thank you for your channel.

      Well, I think the shape of my face changes as I get older 😂. It’s not just the micro-current device, it’s a combination of the 5 things I spoke of in the video about sagging. That includes good peptides, good growth factor, Retinoids, etc. As I explain in the video, they all work in concert. 💛🌷

      Question: Have you tried a lower concentration of Tretinoin? If you are sensitive to a Vitamin A derivative, any form of Retinoid may be irritating. Maelove makes a good Retinol for beginners. I’d start there but I’d need more information to suggest a custom routine for your needs. Please, feel free to email me for further help. 💛💛💛🌷🌷🌷

    Desi, have anxiously been waiting for this video so thank you! Peptides are the one product missing from my daily routine. Question about order of application. In the am, should I apply them before or after my Vitamin C serum, and at night before or after my tretinoin? Also, thank for pointing out the product that contains the human growth factor as I don’t prefer those. I love the Calecim products and use them daily. Thank you!

      Hi! I’d avoid Angela Caglia as it does contain also stem cells and your skin may react negatively. Also, Allies of Skin if you are sensitive to Retinoids. Other than those, all others would be ok for your skin type. 🌷💛All links below (except where EU indicated) are US links.

    So NIOD Cias is not recommended? Just keep hearing good stuff about it...

    • @desistark
      @desistark  4 місяці тому

      The CIAS is actually a good serum. But it’s mostly Copper, which is a Carrier peptide (only 1 out of the 4 groups of peptides). It’s not diversified enough so it has to be combined with a 2nd peptide serum for maximum effectiveness. 💛

      When it comes to growth factors: if you have active acne, I would stay away from growth factors. Otherwise, just like with all products and ingredients - if you have side effects or sensitivity, I’d stop or minimize usage. Otherwise, we just don’t live long enough to experience the negative side so the benefits outweigh the downside.

      For sagging, you’ll need all 3, what I call, 3 Tenors ingredients. Please, see my Sagging video.

    • @desistark
      @desistark  6 місяців тому +1

      Thank you!! 💛🌹
      I recommend adding to a serum with a thinner consistency so you can mix the SynAke drops in it. The drops are water like consistency.
      I sometimes even add 2-3 drops to my moisturizer and apply it that way too.
