Man, as much as I love DQ music, they really phoned it in with this game. They just took existing tracks and slapped them in with no thought to context at all.
really like Jessicas update to her outfit, one of my biggest complaints in 8 was how her appearence was really plain. This isn't drastic in the least but it's just enough to give it some flair and uniqueness

Hated how dragon quest 8 didn't let yo pick your own romantic interest. If i remember right Jessica was pretty much there since the beginning of the game along with Yangus and Not Trunks and yet the game chose the prince you didn't even get in your crew till like the last stretch of the game. I literally felt no attachment to her. I would have picked Jessica hands down, even Red over the princess. Hell the bunny girls at the monster arena or even the Nun at the temple where you revive dead teammates were more appealing than her. hehe
I don't remember Jessica and Yangus interacting a whole lot in DQ8, so seeing them like this matches the mental image I always had of them.
