In this video, Travis Stevens demonstrates the bottom collar seoi nage judo technique.
Travis Stevens is one of the most successful American judokas in history having achieved the Silver Olympic Medal. This is an excerpt from his new series Mastering Two Handed Shoulder Throws available exclusively from JudoFanatics.com.
Judo Fanatics was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your Judo skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for Judo Students who don’t look at Judo as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

Love the low hand application and how deep the top hand goes in.

Sensei when will the newaza techniques be released? Kesa gatame tutorial
Pretty soon my friend, stay tuned!
Something about the footwork just makes me think strongmans Tai-otoshi
💪🏼💪🏼
Dumping off to that angle my Sensei calls "half-ass seoi" because you don't get your hip all the way in lol
😂
Its SEOI O TOSHI.
🔥
No, wrong. Seoi otoshi is when you drop to your knees
Seoi otoshi only if he rolls off your back and shoulder. No hip lifting. Also you don't have to drop your knee to the ground. You can use it to sprint ukes weight like Tai otoshi. With hip lifting it becomes a seoi nage.
