Source video was shot with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40. Full-HD 1920x1080 59.96 frames per second. The camera lens is a 30x optical zoom (24-720mm f/3.3-6.4).
The audio was EQ'd from the Panasonic camera audio. Due to security concerns, I did not take my Hi-Res Audio Recorder and external mics.
I was able to select seats that allowed me to sit the entire show. This allowed for a stable camera base that greatly reduced camera shake.
Notes:
Video recording is stopped briefly after most songs. The reason for stopping video after each song is that its tiring to hold the camera, there is a size limit on the files that my camera can create, and I needed to change the battery three times.
Additionally, the camera does shake a little when using the zoom button. I try my best to be as steady as possible.
I will always miss Dusty (he is ZZ Top) like crazy, but I'm finally starting to warm up to Elwood. He has really stepped up . . . beard and all.
Those MAGNATONE amps sound HUGE and Elwood sounds great !
proably just for show and still just using the marshall JMP1 preamps. Sure sounds like it.
They have amps off stage that they play through. The MAGNATONE amps or stage props.
Elwood got him a hell of bass collection!
It’s awesome to hear ZZ Top all these years later. I remember growing up in the 80s and first seeing them on mtv with gimme all your lovin and legs constantly played. How could u get tired of looking at those three beautiful women? Daniele was always my favorite. ❤❤❤
These songs will never get old. I’m glad to see ZZ Top continue on. Such talent.
fair point hehe
Billy is a master showman, guitarist, and musician.
Always a rockin time when ZZ is in town 💪🏻 in your fucken face Rock n roll my friends 🎸
i heard z z top in '74- second on the bill. they had an amp malfunction, and they still got 2 encores! i was playing bass in a local band at that time, and after watching dusty- FOUR fingers on the strings- i almost sold my bass.
ZZ TOP simply hasn't slowed down abit since Dusty's death.shows a lot of dedication to the music and fans.you only have one shot to get it done and they are doing it.RIP DUSTY!!!! Elwood doin a good job too.
Damn! After all these years...timeless.
I remember seeing them 1973 Austin TX with there Fandango Album
I'm jelly.
That’s a sweet Custom guitar 🎸 Gibbons is playing! He’s still got it! I miss Dusty! He’ll always be there in Spirit! But this new guy fits in with the Beard at least!
The Reverend Willy G 🎸👌
Their excellent!! 🎸🎸🎤🥁👍👍😎
Billy Gibbons is the epitome of cool.
I heard ZZ Top some 50 years ago and they still play live gigs. Amazing!
But not everyone is still on board!!!
@@karloarsch1579 Yes, that's true. But I meant as a band.
Saw them in Tulsa in 1973. Gibbons had short hair, blue jeans and a blue chambray shirt.....oh, and round lensed glasses
Ahhh!!!!!++ they've still got it....!!.🤘🏻👱♂️🤘🏻
Rock solid, rock steady, for decades.
Thank you so much for this.
Glad I could share.
Thank You for posting and filming this show. great quality.❤❤
Thanks. Glad to share.
Awesome hair hat that bass player has on
Awesome🕺🏿
Dang straight.
Billy has gotten so thin over the years !!! 😯
Damn Billy eat some more Dbl Bacon🍔Cheeseburgers & Texas BBQ 🥩!! 🤔 😃
Elwood is a star.
🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 👍👍👍👍👍😎
Good job catchin a rare show man. Great job with the rig! I got to find me some of that wrapping paper that they've got on that mic stand. That would make Christmas.
Thank You. Glad to share.
hard to believe those vocals are live. They are as good as the albums and his pitch is never off. I'd like to hear him sing those unplugged. That's just hard to believe he's nailing those vocals perfectly live. also, notice the vocal EQ is different on the high stuff than say La Grange. A/B them quickly and you'll see he aint singing the high ones like Legs. callin bs on legs at least.
I saw them live on their 50th Anniversary tour and Billy was definitely using a vocal track for songs like Legs (and the other high pitched vocals from Eliminator), but y’know, I give them a hall pass on that…dude is in his 70s and still has all the swag/chops needed for a great show! They’ve used synth backing tracks live for years…and you may or may not be surprised at other bands that use them when playing live. ✌🏻🎶
@@Craig_Fussell Yeah I know that some bands supplement their live sound with things that were in the studios And maybe it's just easier to use a recording than hira musicians play it live on stage The yeah some of those songs are a little bit high Vocally But yeah like you say I mean hes up in a 70 still rocking so I'm not trying to bash him I just wasn't expecting a prerecorded vocal But you know people want to see him and hes probably doing the best he can do I mean he did a good job on the other vocals
You can just tell that Billy was born to do this his entire life.
Maybe if Dusty was still alive this wouldn't be so sad. But these bands with members over 70 shouldn't of retired like 10 years ago. Like Rolling Stones & Kiss at this age is sad. Hope Alice Cooper retires shortly.
So does Elwood sings at all?? Or is it just Billy who sings?? That explains why Billy needs a vocal track. Billy needs another singer to give him break.
Nice
LaGrange twice , but of course , even if its a cover ...
" The initial groove of the song is based on a traditional boogie blues rhythm used by John Lee Hooker in "Boogie Chillen'".[7][8] In 1992, music publisher Bernard Besman filed a lawsuit against the members of ZZ Top, alleging that "La Grange" infringed on "Boogie Chillen'". A federal judge dismissed the case in 1995.[9] " Wikipedia
Is that new purple fuzzy guitars on Legs?
Yes 👍
Hi.!
Sound is very badly. It seems sounds åren' t recorded direct from record center.
Does anyone know when they started lip syncing?
I miss Dusty....
La voz de merquero que tiene Billy Gibbons es tremenda.....El del bajo es un tipo feo o doble feo...La banda igual suena impresionante !!
This is more like Billy Gibbons jams with Frank and Elwood than it is ZZ Top. Not sayin' it's bad, but it ain't ZZ Top.
I miss Dusty !
Same. The Dust was ZZ family.
Who is playing bass?
la quinta canzone è just got paid dei gov't mule, il titolo è sbagliato
You're right it's Just Got Paid, but it's ZZ's song.
govt mule covered just got paid, but its zzs song on tres hombres.... get it right piranha bass dude!!
oops I meant Rio Grand Mud album
il brano è Just Got Paid ma è degli ZZ Top, non dei Gov't Mule (bella cover)
Billy can't play blazing lead anymore
Legs definitely seems lip-synced. I understand that the fans like me enjoy it but it should be removed from the setlist anyway
Frank Beard always enthusiastic to play
4:10 so much playback on the guitar., fakeback ;)
Elwood still doesn't look very comfortable on stage
With all due respect to Frank and Billy please stop, regardless if Dusty would have wanted you guys to carry on I cannot watch you guys play without Dusty and that is also with much respect to Elwood, it's gotta be hard on him too. Dusty should have known their hard core fans would not have wanted it. A tribute concert, a small tour but the deep memories of Dusty are simply bone marrow deep. I didn't even watch this I muted the sound so I could write this.....
Can Frank Beard look any more bored behind the drums? How about a little effort. That goes for the whole band. Should change the name of the band to narcoleptic.
how old do you think they are? xd
@@ludocrious7898 I saw them 8 years ago and they were boring then.
@@davidd5213 can't help your taste, man
@@ludocrious7898 Didn't say they don't have some good songs. I said they are BORING on stage
@@davidd5213 well go to a circus if you want tricks on stage, this ain't no fucking circus, it's a rock n roll blues show xD
no dusty, no top!!!
Frank has lost it. Huge fan of his, but his playing has lost more than a few steps. He doesnt even play just got paid right. Sad.
He just goes through the motions. Pathetic. He needs to hang it up. He's worth 50 million dollars.
They actually suck can you believe that in their younger days they were okay but they really got terrible!
Is it my imagination or does ZZ Top just keep getting better. RIP Dusty.
It's always guitars guitars look at Frank beards set that's one of the nicest drum sets I've ever seen and the barrels on the front probably do have a function besides looking totally awesome and cool
They still rock like the '79 show at maple leaf gardens
Has anyone noticed the really cool symmetrical stage set up? ZZ always uses these setups.
This is a perfect example of mind over matter time and the worst one age it's a frame of mind 72 and still rockin 😎😎😎 thanks zz
Beautiful concert!
このバンドの魅力 言い表せない 音源がいっぱいあるような気がするが 実は余計な音は鳴っていない
I can hardly make out what Billy is singing. The music is fine but that terrible singing. Maybe it sounded okay if you were at the show.
Thank you for posting this.
Turn up your ears...and your speakers xD
Zz rides on⚡💥💥🎆🎆
just retire already
Thanks. Great quality! But song 11 is "Just Got Paid"
oops ... thanks
Yep.
Wonderful ❤
