"im just gonna record something and see what happens". proceeds to write the best riffage i've ever heard
My favorite so far! Amazing. Thanks for showing the process!
Very rarely talked about, especially in this way. Been following your work since 2019. Always great to see you constantly pushing. Perhaps nested tuplets in the future?
Something about that guitar is perfect for this writing style
Vibey and hella creative, love watching your process man!
That Iconic sounds and looks so good😤😤
This is very helpful.
Sounds amazing!
Thanks for the great manual!
I also ran into lots of headaches with DAWs that can't grid (or quantize) in a custom subdivision. I was relieved when I found out that Reaper can do all that, recommend that you try it
also Cubase!
@@LucasMessore How? I have Cubase 11 and would love some tips for this. Thanks in advance!
More videos my guy! Your videos are top tier!!
Super nice video Josh! Love the lick at 16:53
yeah me too!
Time handles blew my mind, had no idea you could do that!
I also had no idea about the arpeggiator goddamn
Fucking beautiful. Thank you for showing the process
Every time he posts a video, my jaw drops at what he's capable of...and it seems to come so easy to him.
I gone my whole life listening to guitarists regurgitate blues-rock riffs thinking that's what it meant to be a guitarist...none of them had any deeper creativity toward composition except for like Vai.
Joshua is a Unicorn... a fucking beautiful prog unicorn.
@@Feverdream7777 i second this, I feel at this point it must be harder for him to explain than to actually do what he does. I am a huge fan of his syncopated riffs that modulate meters and his fast triplet using hybrid picking. I dont think anyone else does it like him
really cool, sounds like something the contortionist would write
That was inspiring man, congrats! Makes me want to try writing in tuplets.
Stupendously dope. Hell yeah!!!
Seeing the piano midi randomized arpeggiation was pretty dope, thanks for that! #PanMan
Thanks Joshua ! Very helpful !
Excited for this one.
I needed to learn this!!! Thank you Josue Dela
plz do more of this
Josh, can I please pay you to make Midi packs!? Please please. I'm all about those odd time grooves and there's often little time to achieve what we need as a tool for song writing. Never hurts to make a suggestion. I bet there would be some others who would want to purchase them as well
I have a couple drum midi packs on my website!
Amazing vod I
Even I knowing a bit of tuplets and stuff, I can't help myself been mesmerized by the DAW tricks and the final result, what a track!. Congrats for the talent you build up.
This one is really inspiring 👌
Honestly man, its just a matter of time until you're as familiar to guitarists as Plini, Ichika, and Mateus are. Your playing is unbelievably inspiring, thanks for making these videos - please never stop 🙏
Guitar thumping please!
4/4 in septuplets aka spicy 4/4
love this video
that was lovely
Insanely useful
nice sounds.... What do you use to obtain these sounds on 7:52????
Hey what drum kit did you use on this? And what was that appregiator plug in? its very cool.
What guitar is that???? Please!!!
that pink guitar is a TS GUITAR one?
I love everything you put out brother. This sounded pretty dope for a "lesson". Thanks for the post......any chance we'll ever get another Victoria album? Cheers from Denver
I’ve got some Victoria stuff coming very soon 👍
yoo can't wait. modern value and the singles are some of the most progressive music i've ever heard. perennial has to be one of my favourite compositions ever.@@JoshuaDeLaVictoria
Perennial is fantastic, I listen to it on repeat while I write code it’s perfect the way it casually undulates up and down in intensity with out ever being uncomfortable
@@omynel yess perennial is mesmerising
Awesome! What kind of pickups do you have in this guitar?
Seymour Duncan p90 silencers
What song is playing during the sped up clips?! Did you make it?!
Wondering the same thing!!
Yeah I made it!
Is it released? Would love to listen to it :)
so that's what went into all those 1 minute clips 😳
Hello anyone knows what’s the arpegiator plugin josh used ?
It’s just the stock one in logic ✌️
@@JoshuaDeLaVictoria thanks Josh , great video!
stock, blew my mind
A sus chord ??!?!
