You have made me really appreciate synths. I also really enjoy how your approach to song-writing isn’t only focused on guitar, but being intentional with every instrument. Great work again

Would love to see some more compositional breakdowns like you did for negative space and thumping/selective picking tutorials. Love it dude!

really appreciate videos like this that remind me i can totally write , record and produce on my own and have somehting that sounds good enough for my personal enjoyment. espeicially for riffs and short songs that i want to hear with a full band. Youre one of my fav guitarists too . Thanks for this dude.

In love about how beautiful are the colors of your videos, it reminds me a bit of wes anderson yellow-ish, but not too much, If you could share your color grading process in the future, it would be awesome. Thanks for the great music and content!

I love your content so much. You're my favorite guitar player at the moment and I get super excited whenever you upload something new.
I know it isn't in the scope of the type of videos you've been making, but I would love to see your perspective on the visual stuff you make. Besides being one of my favorite musicians I also absolutely love everything you do visually. Your videos are so pretty and well made, your photo work is also extremely beautiful. It would be really cool to see how you approach shooting video.
    Thanks

what a good reminder. people usually say that when writing, there are no rules but the problem with that statement, like you said, leads to option paralysis. hence riff salads. this is cool man. keep these videos coming.

Not sure if you’ve tried this but I’ve had success with lowering CPU usage by doing the screen cap on twitch and saving the vod. Then, when you’re not playing guitar, increasing the buffer rate in your DAW to like 36. My MacMini is ancient and bought refurbished and this works really well. Sorry if you knew all this! Love your work!

Absolutely love videos like these -- thanks for sharing your creative process! Love the track too. Something that I immediately noticed was that your guitar tracks sound incredible pretty much right out of the gate. I believe you mentioned in the past that you DI through a NeuralDSP Quad Cortex -- has that changed at all?

I love this sort of thing. I incorporate a lot of different elements into my writing too, but it definitely takes a long time. I use similar plug-ins like LABS, Arturia, and a few others, but even so I think what I'd love to see is maybe a bit more in-depth explanation of what you're doing.
The screen cap is definitely a bit small/hard to see, so while you know what you're doing and you're sort of explaining broad strokes to us, you're clicking like 30 things to get there. For instance, when you add the arpeggiator, it looks like you're copying one of the synth tracks and duplicating it, and then adding the arpeggiator to that. Is that what's happening? Are you leaving the copied synth plug-in and arpeggiating that, or what?
Overall, love the videos and love seeing the creative process. I suppose this is me asking for MORE creative process, lol. Maybe if/when you get an upgraded rig!

How do you minimize noise floor when recording? (I get some recorded tracks unusable due to the bad noise floor)
I do get that problem often not sure if its my guitar or how I connect everything.

Hey Josh, just wondering how you have ZERO noise in your recordings/guitar tone? I am constantly dealing with noise in my guitar tone/recordings. I've tried everything from buying a power conditioner, high end cables, different interface etc.
