I really hope next season we see all the repercussions august deserves! cause I know after the speech the royal family strategists probably wanted to push august more but I think the publican backlash from Sara's accusation will turn public opinion against them

Yesss! Also (and this might be influenced by having just watched RWRB) I think the speech Wilhelm gave might actually earn him the publics' favor. They think it's bad PR for the crown, but in actuality, a lot of the Swedish people may appreciate the honesty and also sympatize with his criticism of upholding tradition even when it no longer servers a society that has evolved past it. They might even see him as a good face for a monarchy that's not stuck on the past, and that's a lot in a world that barely sees the point in still having monarchs in this day and age. I don't know, I think this might play out in our boys favor (maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part), or at least I really hope it does.

Felice is not royalty but she is a descendant from a noble family. The reason August is the back up for Wilhelm is because he's his cousin, and therefore Wilhelm's closest living relative who can take his place.

I absolutely loved the part about how being obsessed with keeping traditions keeps you from evolving, but I especially loved the part of the speech where he said "it was a private moment that I did not want to make public". It's a very subtle dig at the fact that everyone started to try to peek into his life completely ignoring the fact that he's a 16 year old boy who's going through stuff, not the least of which is the death of his brother a few weeks before. The dialogues for this whole show are just golden

She used something that ruined her brother's life just so she can live like the rich. August never convinced her. That's all her actions.
She saw the perfect opportunity and she took it. She got caught eventually, and then she blames August for everything.
She could've told Simon from the start. The moment she found out.
Yes! Everyone forgets about that. Sara didn't betray Simon because she was in love with August as she claims. She did it to become a boarder and live the luxurious life she thinks she deserves.

Wille admitted, live on television, that he was actually the one in the video. Now August is not just against Simon, but Wille too. (And however the court twists it, I'm sure they will have a much harder time covering up child porn involving the crown prince than "just" a random boy.) So it isn't enough to sweep away Simon with the drug stuff.
Let's also take a moment to appreciate that Sara was a direct witness. She literally saw August uploading the video, so she can actually testify for Simon's case. Not hard evidence in itself, and would get questioned due to personal involvement (recent breakup with August), but it would definitely give more basis for the claim.
Regarding the drug issue, I have a feeling Simon's dad will take the blame for him. He is in a terrible situation, being addicted made him slip terribly, and he couldn't quit, but there are glimpses of the dad caring about his kids still - especially Simon.
ngl i don't feel sorry for sara at all.. there were a million chances for her to do the right thing and if wille hadn't threatened to shoot august she wouldn't even have confessed at that point either. she was insanely selfish this entire time.. her situation is the definition of "she did this to herself"

I told you that you would hate her for what she ultimately does to Simon. IRL, after season 1, the Swedish government affirmed that all heirs could have a same sex partner without compromising their position in the line of succession.

Honestly, I’d believe August loved her more if he didn’t wait until she was trying to leave him to tell her about the horse. It just feels manipulative?? (Plus it’s an almost thoughtless gift given that he has to know that she has no way to cover the expenses of the horse (like food, stable space, gear, etc.))
I think he did love her, it doesn't excusenhis reprehensible behaviour but his buying 5he horse was significant.
Back I series one he refused to even contemplate selling any of his estate to raise the money to stay at the school that he loves, he wouldn't even sell a single painting like his mother suggested.
This season though he sells a painting without even thinking just to raise the money to buy Sara the horse. August is an awful person who deserves to pay for his terrible behaviour, but his love for Sara was real toxic yes but still real.

Honestly, I don’t want Sara going through sh!t on her own if only because that’s partially what drove her towards August.
Seriously though, she needs someone who’ll treat her as an equal, not someone like Simon or her mother or someone else who’ll treat her like she needs protecting because, once again, that’s another thing that drove her towards August (..and why she got off on helping him through a panic attack..) she wanted someone where, finally, she felt like she was the one doing the helping and the protecting. And August was exactly that, someone who wanted someone to help him and care for him.
