Closer in spirit to actual Star Trek than *any* of the fake Trek that Kurtzman has squeezed out in the last seven years. 🖖

For a while back in the 90s I had every one they made. My room was full of them.

@@HawkGTboy I did too in the 70s. I even took a magnifying glass and melted a hole through one of the starships and made it look like the USS Constellation from the "Doomsday Machine" episode.

Oh...so...Old School...lol...at first I was...??!!!!!...then it really grew on me...if I had a camera in the 60s and built models I would have done similarly...I'm 67yo...thanks for nostalgic journey to the past...here in the present...story telling the future...

Oh, well done! Can you dub the dialog? That would be fun to do. Even subtitles would be fun. Great little gem! Thanks!

Captn Jeff tries to save the day! This was a pretty cool super 8 or 16mm film.
That had to be a blast to setup and play out.
I believe the ships used were the 3 ship set(romulan bird of prey/enterprise/Klingon d7). It was one of the better smaller sets, and I remember the weird Klingon torpedo launcher "lips". Somewhere between 1/1000 and 1/2500 scale. It is still available, and still looks cool today.

Filmed in 8mm. All done using the full size ATK models at night. The film really needed some bright lights where difficult to control exposure. Thanks

Not sure if the "overexposed" look was part of the style or not. I understand that the film is 43 years old. Would be neat if it could be digitally enhanced to restore it to how it looked when they filmed it (if it has been degraded over time)

Better than any Star Trek made after Enterprise. Kurtzman should put his phaser on stun, and well you get the idea. In your face, in your face.

Fun little episode and highly creative for the times. You sure had a good model collection too. Looks like AMT Klingon ship, K-7 Station, the shuttle craft and one of the early Enterprise kits without the rear nacelle bulbs, just like my Dad had. - The sets are cool too. Are they still around somewhere?

Can still get those AMT models on places like Amazon but they are not 6.99 anymore

@@rockntrekkie I own a hobby store in Canada. Retail on them up here are hitting the $65-$70 range for a new in the box original TOS Enterprise re-pop. I have one in my own collection, unopened with the original price tag on it, that I bought in the 1980's for $11.99.
