Today I'm playing with the top reward ground vehicle form War Thunder 2023 April crafting event "Repair Factory". QN506 is very similar to Russian BMPT “Terminator” tank.
QN506 has 4 type of weaponry. 30mm auto-cannon with 100mm pen APFSDS, machine-gun, mouse guided rockets with 200mm pen, and 4 Fire and Forget missiles, but no useful armor.
Fire and Forget missiles are first of it's type in ground vehicle in War Thunder. New technology.
QN506 sounds great on paper, but in reality...

It's pretty cool vehicle, but you have to be careful using it. Keeping the distance and sending F&F missiles is probably the best way playing it. In CQC it's very not reliable against anything with armor.
When Gaijin fix all the bugs maybe I'll give it another try, of course if you guys liked this video😉

Yes, and you have too keep in mind that DOLLAR's editing takes significant more tine than others. The intros, the memes, the soundfx, the subs. It's way more than juts a gameplay video.

Fire and Forget:
After launch, the missile forgets who and where is the target.
It forgets about its responsibilities and promptly fires itself from its job
Other youtubers said that its kinda bad but it seems like dollar is having fun with it😂

yeah hightier is totally broken. everyone sees it just not gaijin :D helicopters swallowing muliple rounds and just fly on yeeting missiles left and right ^^ not to mention that the the battles are over after 2 minutes bc everyone leaves.. i stick with my 5.7 - 6.7 br
Commander sight was fixed the day this video came out. You can even extend it like with Strv122B

4 Things I have discovered about F&F missiles with this tank :
1-They stay on the target even if there is smoke around it(maybe because target didn't move)
2-More damage is done when you shoot them while aiming up(usefull at close-mid range because it pens the roof)
3-If lucky, they can redirect themselves, i killed a tank while i was shooting at a plane,lol
4-Say "Bye Bye" to enemy heli's because once launched, it destroys them

5-Forgot to add that its funny to deploy and retract the little tower on top of it😁

If its not just a bug, the "unextinguishable fire" might supposed to be the rocket pod's propellant burning, which is not extinguishable. Kind of looks like its the same ammo fire FX used, it just doesn't line up or look very realistic when its not coming out of a blow out panel.

WarThunder isn’t based on facts or realism. Like then nerfing Russian top tier tank spall damage, paper vehicles that never existed or Ka-52 with Vikhr but Apaches can’t get Longbow Hellfire.
Realism would be taking out your Longbow Apaches and using its MMW radar to insta lock 16 tanks and firing all your Hellfires in a salvo and dipping back down.

I left WT because of how OP and annoying air was in GRB before all the drone shit, now I don't think I'll ever go back. If people want to see change, I guarantee it will happen if everyone just stops playing for 1-2 weeks.

They need to give it slightly better tracking with the F&F missiles and 1 more ammo stack with them, the BMP -2M has a double stack, and even more kg tnt in its tandem missiles then this has, barely 1kg if i remeber correctly, and the flight speed on the F&F is 205m/s.. It's a fun tank fo sure but it needs more love and more depression xD great video as always

I kind of wanted that thing when I 1st saw it, but I'm over it now. However, I'm sure when the Russian version makes it tech tree and premium debut, it'll be deadly as hell. Missiles will 1 shot everytime, armour will bounce everything and the fire extinguisher will work like a charm. You'll see. Great video regardless, well done. Keep it up, sir 👍👍👍

I mostly use the fire and forget missiles as fire and forget that heli over there missiles and that's all I need
also a tip: if you aim up a bit after locking a tank, the risk of the missile just falling into the ground is lower.
That's a good tip. I started doing that later
5 months later, you still can't extinguish the fire, i think it's because the ammo and the rocket pods are right next to each other.

You can't extinguish fires whilst the ammo detonation is 'still in progress' once the flames calm down and become smaller you can extinguish the fire

To test all this stuff out, make sure the bugs are ironed out before releasing, make sure it gets the right BR , and things like extinguishers kinda work......

Fun fact: with the QN and the Recon Drone, you can make a psuedo-LOAL missile.
Shoot the drone up, find a target that you couldn't already see, keep the drone near it for a bit, launch the F&F missile at the drone, and while the missile is still in the air you need to kamikaze the drone as close to the target as possible before the missile impacts.
if done right, then the missile will switch lock from the drone to the thing closest to where the drone went missing. (That thing hopefully being the desired target and not just a corpse the target was near.)

@@DOLLARplays yeah, that's true. If you play the Puma or Tanks with blowout panels like the Abrams or the Leo 2 you can have the same effect as seen in the video. You can survive something like that if all ammo burns away, then you have to replenish ammo from zero. If the Puma gets ammo recked he still has the belt he had used.

The depression is so bad because while the turret sits very high, it is also very narrow vertically. there isn't room for the gun breech to move up before it hits the turret roof.

Ammo fires on the QN are not contained. It’s technically how pretty much every penetrating shot on a T72/64/80 should work
