Qidi Tech is my favorite 3D Printer brand no one knows about. Their X-one was sooo good back in 2016. They do really good sheet metal frames. Trying to do old school dual though? COME ON GUYS.
I love my Tech I, though I seldom actually dual extrude. I usually have pla loaded in one side and abs in the other. I've also upgraded it to a flexion HT extruder which gives me a lot of flexibility (no pun intended) on filament choices.
Hey Devin, was just wondering if you bought the Qidi Tech X-Pro on Amazon and if you did do you remember a rough estimate on how much the shipping was or if the shipping on it was very costly. big fan btw XD
I am so glad I bought the X-One for my first printer as it is dead simple to use with no assembly and the print quality is great. Also, they have the best customer service.
The small printer looks tempting! I design a lot of small things and sometimes printing those designs on a big printer feels a bit overkill. I have been wondering why there hasn't been more small and rugged printers available
I’ve got a dual head flashforge inventor and had no luck with dual color printing so eventually replaced one of the nozzles with a .2mm tip giving me more flexibility when I want to print small quality pieces.
I was going to be inspired, but then I forgot about being inspired on the my way to being inspired. I can’t believe I thought that was a silly outro, but then there I was, forgetting to be inspired. Thanks man!
I think Delta printers look so cool with how the extruder moves around the way it does. Although I'd never buy one. Too many moving parts to fail probably sooner than later. My CR10 is a freaking work horse. It keeps going and going with zero problems.
This is one reason I like my ender 3 pro it has a removable build surface so getting prints off without damaging them are pretty easy it’s also easy to replace if it gets damaged I’m on my 3rd build plate
for anyone who reads this the slicer doesnt do that, the firmware handles how to make the movements, the slider just determines what movements to make. slicer don't know if its a corexy or delta
Thanks for the good review; did you ever learn more about the QQs and its calibration; turning your circles into ovals? If not for that comment of yours I would have bought it. I know I could compensate in the slicer or whatever but I dont want to go there; if the manufacturer cant bother to give its arms the same length or something of that nature, its not the machine for me right now...
Have you tried the Prusa MMU 2.0? It supports 5 different materials in the same print. I'd love to hear your thoughts on their solution to multimaterial printing!
I was going for a Ender 3 V2 as my new 2nd printer.. But it is very pricey even though you and others say it is a good cost? But instead I got a Voxelab Aquila ( G32 chip ) which is a very nice clone of the Ender 3 V2. It cost me £57 less for the Aquila then the Ender and it is just like a Ender 3 V2 and it cost less so I happy. I am thinking of maybe getting the QQ-S Pro Delta printer because of the reasons you pointed out and the fact here in the UK I can get the Updated Pro version for only £209 which means it is a great price since the Aquila cost £190. I have as my 1st ever 3D printer the Tronxy X5SA updated 2021 model with a build area of 330 mm by 330 mm by 400 mm and auto leveling, manual leveling, 3.5 inch colour touch screen But it is very large in size. It is a cube frame FDM printer which is 2 feet square so a big footprint printer. The problems I have with it are the auto leveling don't work right? the blue TF sensor they use only detects the metal below the bed cover not the cover. So getting it to level with that problem and the fact the big bed has 6 not 4 bed adjustment screws is a huge pain. So I had to just store it covered up under a sheet for over a year because if you can't level a big bed to the tiny 0.4 nozzle limits then you can't use it. I be changing the bed cover from the ultra flex bed I brought from Tronxy over to a a PEI metal flex plate and adding a BL Touch probe to replace the horrible useless TF sensor so it can do a auto leveling and change the firmware over from Tronxy own to Marlin as it has better control and settings. I know Tronxy come out with a new TF sensor a black one which is claimed to be able to detect all surfaces now, But I will go with a BL Touch. I brought a titan extruder for the Tronxy X5SA so I could do flexible filaments as well as PLA & PETG etc. and with the frame being around the printer I could enclose it with Mylar. We see what I do later?
I am looking into getting my first 3D printer, I want to print incredibly detailed 1/6 scale headsculpts , interchangeable 1/6 hands , and 1/6 accessories, what do you think would be the best printer for that?
So how is the Qidi Tech X-pro with PLA and BVOH? I am really sick and tired of messing with supports and would love to just throw the print in a bucket of water and not have to spend so much time with post-print cleaning.
Could the issues with the 2 colour print on the X-Pro be solved by tweaking the standby temperature of the nozzles? (I know Cura has this feature now for multi-nozzle machines).
I can't seem to find this anywhere on the interwebs, but does the printer use the silent TMC2208 (or similar) stepper drivers and does it have built in thermal runaway protection?
When you say you designed these models in VR, what exactly do you mean? What software are you using? As a 3d printing and VR enthusiast, I want to try that out.
I haven't checked the price on a Makerbot in some time but the price mentioned on the X-Pro sounds like it is lower than the Makerbot for a similar machine. I like the idea of the dual extruder and its enclosure. I have a Monoprice Select Mini and have been tempted to get the FLSUN QQ but my understanding is that it uses an 8-bit controller. I would like to see it sold with a 32-bit controller. It would be helpful if you add a link to the review of the Kossel delta style printer, and to the video about tattooing 3D prints.
I’ve had a lot of luck with Fillamentum, Hatchbox, and MatterHackers, with that same printer. Joining a group for that printer will change your life. There are so many guides and a pretty decently sized community behind it.
Thanks for your great review! I understand that dual color is hard to achieve, but what do you think of printers that use the same extruder for different colors (Like the Prusa for example...)? Ciao!
Having a Cartesian printer as an Anet A8 and the delta printer FLSUN QQ-s Pro, I have to say the main difference is that delta printer is faster than Cartesian printer
Forgive me if I've missed it somewhere, but do you have a list of your preferred settings for the FLSUN QQ, or anyone here for that matter? I seem to be struggling with getting consistent prints as I'm not sure which settings suit it best. For reference, I use Cura.
I would assume comparing the QQ to, maybe another delta like Anycubic's Kossel or Tevo's little monster. The problem is that the little monster's a lot more expensive.
Capsule looks nice. It's hard to find a small reliable printer, most of my prints are small mechanical parts and reliability matters a lot more than print volume. (I ended up building my own printer :P)
I have 2 anet a8...with both dremel and laser mods....honestly the print quality is phenomenal...each print impresses me....cost $145...plus it's a diy kit..I love it..will probably but 2 more
Individual One do you have any other printers to compare to? There's no way you're getting good prints off a stock anet! And a dremel on an acrylic frame? I doubt there's much you could do with that other than foam...
Dayton Maynard u know what within the next hour or so I'll upload a video of my prints to my Chan..you'll see for yourself the a8 is one hell of a bargain 👍
Thx for your very good and detailed review! Very outstanding content quality! What was your experience with building the QQ? I've read some mixed bag reviews concerning that...
Can you do a time lapse video for Octoprint to show how you get consistent pictures on layer? I'm sure a step was added to the X and Y axis so that layers always start in the same spot, but I'm not sure how this was achieved. If there is a video already available I'd appreciate a point in the right direction. Thanks.
thanks for all your vids, Im looking for a 3d printer that will no be a nightmare with NInja flex. i was thinking of Prusa. my budget is $800-$1000 a also not mind tinkering or upgrading extruder, so anything under $700, my wife would be happy,..lol! thanks for you help.
Doug Licht I have had a qq for about six months now using cura. I get pretty good prints but not as clean as what you show here in the video. I also have an issue where I can't get the part cooling fan to turn on automatically even though I select it in cura. I think my start and end g code is off and was curious as to what you use
Ive got a qidi tech x-one and i love it! Right now my x axis (maybe? Itz the one on the top right) belt is broken and i dont know how to fix it. Ive been put of a 3d printer which is disapointing and frankly i could use some help. So could someone throw me a bone?
Hi can you please help me my printer send my filement far to think how do I fix this and a firstime with the flsun qq can you please tell me how I can fix this pretty please with a cherry on top
Was my first printer too, it broke down after 2 weeks due to a thermistor error. Had to give it back and bought the CR10 instead. More bang for the buck in my opinion.
Been a fan for awhile now and because of your videos I have been really wanting to get a 3D printer. BUT I don’t think I would be able to figure out how to design anything on the computer I see you do designs and I just don’t think I could do the same. Any helpful tips you give to someone who wants to start using a 3D printer!!
Stephanie try using tinkercad. It's a super beginner friendly cad software that runs on a website from autodesk(one of the leading cad software companys)
Okay, so I'm pretty poor and would love to do some 3d printer stuff. Would the Ender 3 or Monoprice Delta Mini be a better option? I really like the delta design, but everyone goes on and on about how great about the Ender is, but after seeing how Anet A8's were super great apparently but then burned people's houses down... I dunno.
The Ender 3 is not the safety hazard the A8 is. Also it's a metal frame instead of acrylic, which is a big plus for me. I haven't tried the Delta Mini, but Monoprice printers are generally good too so you can't go wrong either way.
I used Simplify3D, but for wall thickness just make it a multiple of the extrusion/nozzle width. So for a standard .4 mm nozzle make the width .4,.8,or 1.2
I remember your 3D printed fabric video and I think I figured out and even better fabric system then chainmail if you want to see it I will post the video on my channel
I never regret my "purchase" of the cr-10 because I won it from you xD

I have used my friends x-one2 and I want it so bad it’s awesome
The small printer looks tempting! I design a lot of small things and sometimes printing those designs on a big printer feels a bit overkill. I have been wondering why there hasn't been more small and rugged printers available
In my FLSUN, I added smoothers to each motor, and also I printed new blowers, improving quite fine the printing.
Man these reviews are always great, good job Devin!
I appreciate you taking the time to do these mega reviews. I have been shopping for months and these both have really helped me.
I have the FLSUN QQS 32bit. I'm stoked with it. I'm going to use it to print parts for a large Prusa style cartesian eventually.
I’ve got a dual head flashforge inventor and had no luck with dual color printing so eventually replaced one of the nozzles with a .2mm tip giving me more flexibility when I want to print small quality pieces.
That's a clever repurposing! Maybe I'll do the same if I can't get dual to work
I just picked up a qq-s pro, and they've fixed the fan duct cooling issue, and it does amazing prints!
I was going to be inspired, but then I forgot about being inspired on the my way to being inspired. I can’t believe I thought that was a silly outro, but then there I was, forgetting to be inspired. Thanks man!

Nice overview of the printers! Thanks for sharing!

for anyone who reads this the slicer doesnt do that, the firmware handles how to make the movements, the slider just determines what movements to make. slicer don't know if its a corexy or delta
It would be cool to have your opinion on one of the industry standards: the Prusa i3
What are your thoughts on a conveyor belt 3D printer like the printrbelt 3D printer or the black belt 3D printer?
I think they're pretty exciting. I'd love to try one out :)
1 year later.. u can tell us how respond the machine right now? U made the cooler fix? thanks!
Thanks for the good review; did you ever learn more about the QQs and its calibration; turning your circles into ovals? If not for that comment of yours I would have bought it. I borrowed one for my bop it costume and it seemed pretty awesome, but I only had a couple days with it so I can't say much
Where should I buy a 3D printer? What store would you recommend?
Is their a new springo video soon?
I think we all would appreciate that!
It's in the works :)

I didnt see a color tower on your dual color prints :/

I’ve had a lot of luck with Fillamentum, Hatchbox, and MatterHackers, with that same printer. Joining a group for that printer will change your life. There are so many guides and a pretty decently sized community behind it.

Can you tell me your opinion about the Craftbot plus?
phenomenal video
Thinking about buying the Ender 3, splitting pay with my brother. I am new to 3d prints is it worth it? Any other budget printer I should consider?
That's the one to get, pretty much. But do consider that you'll need to pay for filament too.. About 20 bucks for 2.2 pounds per color
I would Buy the ender3 Today if i would Not have a CR 10 already, go for it!
Mad Max I bought it and it’s a great printer. Assembly is simple enough for me, never have built a printer, but takes a long time
I have 2 anet a8...with both dremel and laser mods....honestly the print quality is phenomenal...each print impresses me....cost $145...plus it's a diy kit..I love it..will probably but 2 more

Dayton Maynard just uploaded..check my Chan 👍
Thx for your very good and detailed review! Very outstanding content quality! What was your experience with building the QQ? I've read some mixed bag reviews concerning that...
Actually my dad built it and said it was the easiest build he's done. You just have to follow the instructions that come on the SD card
You should try ultimaker 3 for a duel colour printer
Can you do a video on the 3d Simo
I bought a MP delta mini... it broke but I refunded it. Creality ender 3 good?

I'm working on the video! Out in a week or three 🙄
Just an FYI... slicing software doesn't calculate the moves of delta printers... it is figured out by the firmware(ie. Marlin)
You're right, thanks!
thanks for all your vids, Im looking for a 3d printer that will no be a nightmare with NInja flex. i was thinking of Prusa. my budget is $800-$1000 a also not mind tinkering or upgrading extruder, so anything under $700, my wife would be happy,..lol! thanks for you help.

Every time you said take a look at 1:12 you set off my google home lmao
I have the monoprice mp select mini 3d printer the first one
Paul Cumber good for you buddy
Was my first printer too, it broke down after 2 weeks due to a thermistor error. Had to give it back and bought the CR10 instead. More bang for the buck in my opinion.
Today I would go to the ender3, the CR10 trades the almost never used build volume with its regidity
How do you feel about the CR-10 s pro?
Can you review the Mynt3d pen

what about xyz printing
Those Hiwin Rails need to be lubed every 100km of motion.
Can u dezine a Cuckoo clock or similar
That would be fun!
im so stupid i thought he was going to use actual tiny printers 😭😭
*I wish!*
Make Anything ill start a kick starter for tiny 3D printers so you can try them out 😂
The Qidi X-pro is now £400 on amazon :)
That's cool
I didnt know John Leguizamo was into 3d printing

I bought Ender-3 and now want to sell it and buy FLSun QQ
@Zach Kevin That is simple. It doesn't have auto-levelling, it's quite critical.

you are very beautiful S2

i had the qidi tech I and it was horrific. constant clogs, small bed, and i had to buy a completely new extruder at one point.
