Hi, thanks for the review. I advise you to keep the "inreach mini" on your jacket or in your pocket, so that during an accident it does not injure you, but remains nearby (the motorcycle and the bag may be far from you).

I’m gonna give this a try for a replacement to my $25 Amazon bag! Good video!

Great video. And great bag. I enjoy seeing what everbody carries in their Nomax tank bags. I' like you, don't really care for a backpack. Mainly because I'm in Florida and anything attached to my person causes excess heat buildup. I would strongly suggest keeping your In reach attached to your person though. If you unexpectadly seperate yourslef from your bike, you may not be able to reach it in an emergency.

Thanks for the comments! I have a second PLB attached to my riding suit ... the Inreach allows me to send messages ... redundant ... over kill!!!!!

Hey Dave! I've found that wrapping the "straw" the other way around solves the leaking issue when you're pressed against it✌️

    great video!
Nice to see that you too are using the "camelbak-clip-hack" for the hose!
the leaking is not a problem to me, as long as I keep that clip close to the mouth piece so it remains on the side of the back.

I had one of these bags for about 3 rides, I really wanted to like it.
If you enjoy digging thru 5 layers of tank bag every time you want something you will love this bag.
It is endless the places things can hide and you will be digging and digging to find it.
To me its way over thought, over engineered, too many layers, too many zippers inside zippers, pockets inside pockets.......I ended up avoiding using it while on rides.
Its very well made, very stout. It can weigh a lot if you keep filling all the compartments + the water bladder full.

Yep! I've been using the Hood 5 from Mosko and have enjoyed the ease of use. There is a difference between the two. Thanks for the comment!

I just ordered this and I’m really hoping that the 3l camelbak bladder I have will fit in that bladder compartment. It looks like there is some room left over when the 2l is in there so we shall see!

Nice review of the Nomax tank bag! Great piece of kit! I bought one recently and find it interesting seeing how everyone is loading theirs out and using it. Once I load mine up I may do a video too. I just started a channel also. I only had enough time to watch your video twice. Haha Definitely liked and subscribed! Hang in there 1000 will be here soon!

Been waiting for this review. Very good. I just need to figure out how to mount it to my K1600. One criticism not related to the bag, is to clip your inReach on your body. If you have an accident and get separated from the bike and you are incapacitated, you won't be able to signal for help. I keep mine clipped to the left breast pocket of my Stich. Ride safe

@@dangerdave8080 Really? I'm curious. Why the redundancy? Thanks

@@BMWLDRider Great question ... I purchased the ACR ... it's a great unit ... very easy to use in an emergency. After a year or so I purchased the Mini for the communication factor ... the best feature of this unit is the ability to send messages back home from anywhere. I have 3 preset messages: 1) Checking in all good 2) Heading home now 3) Bike broke can repair ... this allows me to check in with loved ones very quickly and easily. Where the mini lacks is the way you call for help in an emergency. The cover over the emergency button is not simple to remove. So ... I have two PLB ... I have a son that does some backpacking ... he will use one or the other ... at the end of the day I have two ... I keep one on the tank and one on my suit.

Selling mine, it’s too big for standing up off-road. Other than that’s is great kit.

I guess there is no way I can put a 14 inch laptop in there, right? That's a real shame for the use I would give it. Furthermore, I cannot understand a 300$ bag that is not waterproof with out a crappy plastic cover and it all seems a bit tight in there. Otherwise, I kind of like the bag. Good review, thank you!

Thanks Dave, great review. Just curious, what is like standing on the pegs? I really like this bag, have avoided since so many say tank bags interfere greatly when standing. Thanks. PS I’m #336

I have the tank bag up towards the front of the bike ... I think in a normal position. Has never been a hindrance when standing ... perhaps when those occasions require leaning forward while standing, you might feel it ... but never has been a nuisance or hindrance.
      Again, thanks #336!

Hi. Does the tank bag not scrape all the paint from the tank?

    • @dangerdave8080
      @dangerdave8080  Рік тому +1

Great question! No it has not... the tank bag has a "soft" material underbody that protects the tank. In addition the tank bag is strapped on pretty tight ... doesn't move (except of course when you fall🤣).

Why the name change from nomad to nomax

Nomad was the name of the original. They changed the name with the newer version.
