I am a former military medic, I would never call myself a hero. I was just a guy trying to be in the right place at the right time to help as many of my fellow soldier as was necessary. Those were my brothers and I would sacrifice all if it was asked of me.
This song was written in a collaboration between song writer's and veterans who were dealing with P.T.S.D. I spent the first 13ish year's of my life as an Army Bratt who traveled the world on the Uncle Sam travel plan until 1986ish when we came back to the state's!..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠
I served in the Marine Corps and the army, we loved “Doc” and would always have his back. Sometimes doc has gotten me into more bar fights than I’ve gotten myself into, don’t mess with do. Don’t get confused with a FMF corpsman we and they consider him a Marine. We have another reunion in November and Doc is expected to be there after 30+ years
Written with US Navy Veteran, Shaun Bott, a Navy corpsman (medic), who was deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom and provided medical support for US Marine convoy operations, the emotional track pays tribute to all “Docs” that have served in each war and the hardships they have had to endure.
My brother was a medic, did 3 tours to Afghanistan. First time he came home and I wouldn't say he was "excited" to go back, but he was definitely eager to further his career in the army and get that 2nd deployment to his name. So he went back, he was really messed up. Then in 2012 was when he was sent to korengal Valley, his 3rd and ultimately his final tour to Afghanistan. The army was actually sued for this mission by mothers of soldiers killed because of neglect from the officers overseeing the operation. And because of this neglect to properly plan the mission out, and adequately supply the men (and when I say they didn't adequately supply the men they literally had to build their own base on a mountain using rocks, and tree branches.) I believe the number was around 80 men who died on that mission. My brother lost many men in his arms, he lost one of his best friends in his arms. He was seriously messed up for years he had crippling depression, he didn't smile for years. It took a while for him to finally find happiness. This song means a lot to me because I know what he went through and what other medics have gone through. In the military medics are the most looked up to mos, they're the ones saving lives on the front line. It becomes their fault if a man dies, even if it's not their fault and they carry that burden with them for life. Sorry for ranting but man this song gets me emotional.
I believe he was a Corpsman. Which is a Combat Medic for the Marines. The person who suggested the video Devil Doc I'm assuming is a Corpsman too. I am as well.
The name 'DOC' is a bit confusing. Cause, a doctor is a doc. BUT, the Navy corpsman or Army medic, is doc. He's (she) not a doctor, or a nurse. But an amalgamation of the two, and EMT/Paramedic. They're job is to stabilize the 'patient' for transport to a medical unit. AND, while they don't have a degree, the troops that work with them, DOC is even BETTER.
Well true country music is about that nasal sound/twang/vocal fry or vocal cry...stick with fake country or fake rap like Luke Bryan or Tom Macdonald if you want the fake stuff. You want real country or rap stick with these guys, other independent country & Ryan Upchurch...obviously this is for views, subscribers & likes channel.
Yooo what the fuck.
Switching gears are we!
We making people cry today!
That was some heavy shit.
Wow
What a song 🎵 thanks for watching 👀
The rules of war:
1. People will die
2. Not even Doc can change rule #1
3. For his brothers Doc will die to change rules 1 and 2.

It’s written from his prospective as a military medic in the army.
I believe he was a Corpsman. Which is a Combat Medic for the Marines. The person who suggested the video Devil Doc I'm assuming is a Corpsman too. I am as well.
