@@angeljuarez7784I'd be all about that show. Promoting it and getting the word out. I'd love to see them at their old Chinatown stomping grounds. Imagine the Hong Kong Cafe coming alive again
I've just heard this for the first time yesterday!!!! I'm 49 and can not believe I never heard of them growing up back then with agent orange, Dk,Angelica upstarts.....and so on..but it just goes to show there was so much good indie music in the punk rock that was never heard by everyone. But now I can say thankfully I've heard them and they are really good!!! I really love digging up old school bands you never know what you,ll find!
Happy the original version is easily found on youtube! thank you. Not so happy the guy from the band who finally reissued the record after almost 40 years ago decided to "fix" it with newly recorded guitar tracks. He could have at least included the original version on the CD.
Yeah the reissue almost sounds like the songs were completely re-recorded. I guess they kind of were, which is ridiculous since this EP is pretty much perfect as is.
I just found out about this band from someone who was a part of this scene back in the day. It's amazing how fresh this EP sounds in 2018. There are many indie bands today trying to imitate this sound. The Brat was truly ahead of their time.
there will be a CD (1) and vinyl (2 LPs) release of over 20 tracks by The Brat, many unreleased, all remastered, scheduled for release July 7...finally! On RockBeat Records....
Should’ve just reissued the original recording without tampering. It was already perfect. I refuse to listen to this reissue. It’s been completely ruined.
this was a great band .. I lent it to a friend and never got it back..... one of the bands that formed my teen years. danced and lipsynched in front of the mirror to ,like most people during the 80's
I really like this EP. I googled around and found a copy of a band-published CD at a record store. So that's why I'm not wearing out this UA-cam video anymore.
I'm lucky enough to have this record. My brother gave it to me in 2002. When i listen to it, i play it a few times in a row. This band fucken rips! East LA Chicano punk.
Teresa is my cousin and I'm so proud of her back in the 80s they were hot back then🎶🎙️ I love her she's my cousin Teresa became a teacher Teresa was the lead singer🎙️
@@CaptainG23 I agree. These guys rocked but I was getting rid of stuff moving in with friends after getting laid off and losing my 1st apt in 82. I was 19 just trying to survive.
I did the exact same thing with more than a few records that later on I fell in love with, and it cost me a f’n fortune to replace. This wasn’t one of those records, but I did do that with the Black Album (The Damned) around ‘81-ish because in my ridiculous teenage opinion it was “hippie shit” 😂
Rudy is working as a music teacher at my highschool👍
Haha that's awesome !
Do you mind telling me what High School? I worked with rudy and Sid in a grammar school back in the 80's.

Convince him to play/perform again with Alice Baggs, X, The Stains and The Plugs!!!

Saw them open for X and Los Lobos several times. Exene did some of the graphics for that EP and it was produced by Tito from The Plugz.
I lived next door to Sidney. I used to hear them practicing in the garage.
I'm 56 and they were really popular in 80.

48 and I'm the same -- just heard them like 6 months ago and they're SO DAMN GOOD! Love it!!
@Keith Mory same with me I'm 47 and didn't find out about them until back in 99
Haha, I'm 49 and just hearing his!
Cuz they weren’t white. Glad you’re here now

I was wondering what happened. I have this ep, some studio tracks and they sound far superior to that awfully titled release.
I’m in love with her voice 😍

The Brat was actually right on time. That is why they fit right into the scene.

it's on Amazon and itunes.
@@ottoacid1800 i just got the cd and they ruined the songs. the drums sound whackkkkk they made it sound like nofx

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 East LA punk legends.
Love love love this. "Swift Moves" is one of the coolest songs ever(although the entire EP kills.)

This made it into rotation on KROC back in the day
This music was planted in my brain nearly 4 decades ago.

Do they ever play lives shows anymore?
What a wonderful ten minutes that was 😍🤩😍
I want to dance listening to this...
Great EP.
"Swift moves" sounds more like UK post punk than the usual LA scene c.79-80...
Just wise influence from THE CLASH
Summer Bridge 1981
Yay!
This EP really deserves a proper remix! Vocals and lead guitar sound restrained..solid tho!
Gracias por dios
You can’t sit with me
I frisbeed this ep into a dumpster back in 1982.
Achilles now it's going for like 80$
Achilles people have done dumber things- I just can't think of one right now.
