@amytomlinson the list was not in order of my favorite bands. In fact i put floyd above all the bands including the beatles and led zepplin. The reason being they are the most unique band in history of rock n roll.
Don't be surprised if Roger Waters is awarded the Nobel prize in literature. This man has some of the best insights on the human condition and has written about it in the most eloquent way, through lyrical songwriting.
This was my favorite elders react. Seeing the looks on their faces and imagining all of the memories of their lives that the music was making them relive was absolutely beautiful to watch.
ooooh jealous! my dad dragged me to roger's recent this is not a drill tour and it genuinely changed my life. i havent been able to shut up about floyd since. which shows did you go to? i hope it was the wall
after discovering pink floyd, i subconsciously started comparing every artist i listened to to pink floyd. when i realized what i was doing, that's when i knew nothing would ever reach their level
I'm 16 and I just saw Pink Floyd (roger waters) in concert and it was such an insane show and I sang my lungs out and it was lost the next day lmao and I was the first person let into the arena 30 mins before the doors opened because I got so excited my nose decided to start bleeding lmao it was the best day of my life
Of course, they're not going to play anything before 1973. Hello, they started in the 60's, and had 7 albums before "Dark Side of the Moon". Syd Barrett anyone? It would have been more interesting to see how elders reacted to that. Can we have a Part 2?
Imagine playing them something from "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" and "Ummagumma". I know it's supposed to be their generation, but I don't think they'd be able to handle it. Far from being mellow, melodic material.
Comfortably Numb is to Pink Floyd what Day In The Life is to The Beatles. These are the songs that really showcase and contrast the very distinct voices within the bands, John and Paul, and Roger and David.
Who doesn't love Pink Floyd? It's from my father's generation and I still play like every son on guitarr. However, I'd love a "teens react to" on Pink floyd
I love the fact that people have suggested Pink Floyd expecting to get horrified reactions from a bunch of oldies to their first exposure to prog rock, not realising that this is the generation that would have been buying these records in the 70s.
Pink Floyd+Lsd makes you realize that Pink Floyd ascends music as a whole to something greater entirely. You have all music genres, artwork etc and then above all of that there’s Pink Floyd.
@Chrisop That wasn’t the argument I was making. I’m not glorifying the use of drugs, I’m simply stating that the use of a natural tool plus Pink Floyd is a enjoyable thing. It’s a different time my friend, weed is a tool people uses to help many problems just as psilocybin mushrooms and Lsd are tools being used to help depressing and veterans with ptsd overcome their obstacles. Pink Floyd along with other music is used in Lsd sessions for veterans with ptsd.
The first time I listened to Dark Side I was 16 and it was an out of body experience in itself. Now in my mid twenties I have made some experiments with psychedelics and it was shockingly similar.
Alexie Pineda I think most would have very positive views. From the Queen elders react one said "kids even today love this music" and it's true! Music from the British Invasion and classic rock has proven to be timeless. :)
People find it wierd Im 15 and friends with elders but like, they had THIS music, and they WENT to LIVE shows. I love listening to their stories about their time period and most older people I know love telling stories to people that will listen. Just amazing.
My very first live concert was Pink Floyd. My elder brother apologized to me after the concert, "Nothing else is going to compare to this kid, I'm sorry."
@@p0pp4 my great uncle likes to say two of best albums ever made are dark side of the moon and joshua tree then brags that he heard/watched them both live. Pretty incredible. I wish my first live concerte was pink floyd, I simply grew up with my dads cover songs, He can really pull off comfortably numb though.
yea for years they were very unassuming and just performed. When they were suddenly a stadium band after DSotM Waters thought, hell, there are gonna be fans sitting in here 400 yards away from us, we gotta give them a show too.So the giant stage show was born
I have so much respect for Rock he admitted he wasn't a huge fan but didn't let that stop him from analysing each individual parts of their music and even though it wasn't his thing he respected each song and the work that went into them
Plenty of people in this day and age let their emotions of past experiences stop them appreciating any work whatsoever that's gone into things. To outright say you don't really like something too much and then be able to comment on it off a new slate isn't an easy thing to do - if you do it then great but a hefty amount of people don't.
We have the internet so we could listen to this music when ever we want for free. No one will remember team 10 in 15 years but Pink Floyd will be remembered till the end of history. So enjoy it while it last.
I love these videos of the Elders reacting to Queen and The Beatles and just stuff that makes them reminisce. You can see the youth in their eyes just come right back.
John Wright with those more mainstream songs teens would like them too, kids would be more interesting, or teens but with stuff from 'A Saucerful...', 'Piper...' or 'Ummagumma' :^)
the happiness to how they react, it shows just how amazing pink floyd is. im truely grateful my dad listend to them so I had the chance to hear them. the music might be old but the feelings are... pure and just its special the way every note is played.

FBE Hi, how are you?
FBE I like to quack a lot. Do you? Is quacking normal?
FBE can you react to wild thought DJ Khalid new song
"Some of these lyrics get a different meaning when you're older".
Like Time.

I feel like High Hopes is one of the most underrated songs by Pink Floyd, It's never mentioned anywhere
IraqiNoob AGREED!! Pretty much all of The Division Bell is often forgotten or receives bad reviews.
The entirety of The Final Cut is also underated. Really a lot of albums by them are underated
Real PF stans know , Division Bell is nowhere close The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon or Animals. I would say even Meddle is better
One of my favourites from Pink Floyd
OMG i have waited all my life for someone to say this
Pink Floyd is one of the greatest bands to ever to rock this earth.
I want to see Teens and Kids react to Pink Floyd As well.
Still waiting
Soprattutto loro!
you can tell some of them had acid flashbacks
Spaceyy exactly what I was thinking
Pink Floyd. NOW we're talking. Scary how relevant their music is to this day.
It was always relevant. They sing about the human condition, and that's why they're timeless
How dare you cut out the solo from Comfortably Numb
Supreme Lord of the Dark World Absolutly HARAM
leave that men, he cut the solo from time!
And Hey You
Don't EVER cut out the Time guitar solo
Pyle Plays don’t ever cut ANY of Gilmour’s solos
Correction: Don't cut out any guitar solo of pink floyd
Exactly
The sad thing is that there will never be another Pink Floyd!
Ummagumma username checks out
Porcupine Tree, close enough.
radiohead
Joker_Wild thats the good thing
the universe is not big enough for 2 pink floyds.
Not all, but most, of the best bands in history are British.
Ozzpot some are Australian
Yup, the beatles, the rolling stones, led zepplin, pink floyd, the who, queen, iron maiden, black sabbath, def leppard are all british.
Sir Billiam XIV like AC/DC
@amytomlinson the list was not in order of my favorite bands. In fact i put floyd above all the bands including the beatles and led zepplin. The reason being they are the most unique band in history of rock n roll.
Izzy of Albion but the best band of all time is Canadian.
What a joke. You guys cut out comfortably numb's guitar solo.
Quinn overrated
Yes. Execution or Freedom? Execution. Good, 1 Cross each, first door on the left.
@@Mx.Morris nah u wrong its the best
And Hey You solo too... 🤦♀️
@@sibersquid7295 nah its seriously overrated, November rain's ,Sweet Child O' Mine's and Stairway to Heaven's solo is better
It's the teens I'd like to react to this. For the elders it's just a trip down memory lane.
Allan Goco I like watching Elders react to things from their generation because they bring a lot more insight.
They're too busy smoking dope, coz they need to listen to modern music nowadays.
Absolutely
Rob L look me in the eyes and tell me the elders weren’t having flashbacks to their acid trips when they listened to Pink Floyd years ago. 👀
Definitely a *trip* down memory lane 😎
Now lets push them to make the college kids react to Pink Floyd!
Kindergarten - Adam would love it!
“oh that’s that acid music”
Now have kids react to them, if you aren't afraid of having your office burnt to the ground
Oh Catherine... I love Catherine.
Pink Floyd has the ability to take you to the farthest reaches of space and back. The experiences they create are truly special. The best.
Absolutely. Best band in the world. You dont hear lyrics like that anymore. What great musicians too.
Catherine is the coolest. Can you imagine her in her prime?
I would have loved to have met her when she was 25 😏
I already wanna date her man
Catherine and peggy
A lot of Grace Slick vibes on her

The thing with Pink Floyd is that when you're young, you like their music... when you're older, you understand their lyircs
If you relate to the lyrics when you're older, then you probably fucked up your life...

the most emotional episode. liked it.
i would see kids and teen react this band.
Thanks, FBE. You've listened to our request. Now, make kids and teenagers listen to Pink Floyd. That would be so interesting!

I wish they would have played the guitar solos for them too. For a lot of Pink Floyd's songs, the guitar solos are a fundamental and powerful element.
Frank Banda especially time
I'm pretty sure they play the full songs for them, just edit a lot down.
+toadfan64 Right, but given how important guitar solos are to this band, it's a crime that they didn't include the elders reacting to that as well.
One of the greatest bands and a great selection of songs. It would be funny to see kids and teens react to them.
I love Pink Floyd because you can tell that they put in their all to every song and each one is so beautiful. Best band ever.
Comfortably Numb is to Pink Floyd what Day In The Life is to The Beatles. These are the songs that really showcase and contrast the very distinct voices within the bands, John and Paul, and Roger and David.
