My Wand is a 12 1/2 Walnut wood wand (The Bellatrix Wand) with a Pheonix feather core, with Supple flexibility. This wand fits me the best due to it's description 😁. If it was real it would have been a lethal pairing.

I got dogwood. I can imagine myself messing with enemies using hexes and "joke" type spells, then getting serious when someone gets hurt/killed and having my anime moment when I get serious
a very pleasant presentation, and aside from small mispronunciations, possibly from british language, was very well done. it was nice to be able to guess the family, and genus of the trees, a throw back to semester of dendrology, the study f woody plants. john

The wands of the films (at least the merchandise replicas) are all about 10 cm (3.9 inches) too long compared to how long they are in the books. Look at the picture at 0:47. They are actually quite short in the books.

Interesting that there's no magnolia wands. Magnolias are known in the south to be strong and very long lived trees. Not uncommon to see them live for a century or more if well cared for. Maybe Ollivander can't get his hands on magnolia wood since they don't really grow in Europe.

I’d imagine if a wand could be made from one it would be adept at producing powerful spells and be best paired with a witch or wizard that is very stubborn in his/her convictions.

@@mavendorf121 I have been curious about my own wand and have recently been looking up information on wand lore. The average wand is about 10 to 13 inches. Exceptionally short wands (8 inches or less) tend to go to people who have something lacking in their personality, have low self-esteem, or are denying some aspect of their true self. Really long wands (14 inches and longer) tend to go to people with high self-esteem and confidence in who they are who are not afraid to stand out from the norm.

I think if I were to pick any occupation in the Wizarding world, it would definitely be a wand maker. There's just something so interesting and unique but individualistic about the whole thing.

mine is this. Yew wood with a phoenix core 13 ¼" not sure what the size in inches means i.e the 13 1/4 inches. if you could explain to me what having the size does or means. would be appreciated. i only know mine from the wizardingworld quiz
@@mavendorf121 I have been curious about my own wand and have recently been looking up information on wand lore. The average wand is about 10 to 13 inches.
Exceptionally short wands (8 inches or less) tend to go to people who have something lacking in their personality, have low self-esteem, or are denying some aspect of their true self.
Really long wands (14 inches and longer) tend to go to people with high self-esteem and confidence in who they are who are not afraid to stand out from the norm.

Oo this was fun. Mine is Ash, 13.5", dragon heartstring, unyielding. Feel like this is ripe for the Dark Arts.
I think if I were to pick any occupation in the Wizarding world, it would definitely be a wand maker. There's just something so interesting and unique but individualistic about the whole thing.
Went to the wizarding world in orlando, fl and bought a willow wand after looking for over and hour. Years later i took the quiz and thats the wood i got. Cant help but think it chose me a little.

My wand wood is English Oak, which makes sense as I love nature and animals, and can only imagine myself working with magical creatures and the outdoors if I lived in the HP universe.
Got to admit the wand with the attribute of issuing a spontaneous lighting strike if another witch or wizard attempts to steal it wasn't something I was expecting XD

Mahogany wood can also be used as a wand wood. James Potter's wand was mahogany. But there isn't much information about this wand wood.

Mine’s silver lime and I do have a tendency to have precognitive dreams so I guess it makes sense that my wand would be suitable for divination. Amazing and extremely informative video!
