Just finished my first play through on Steam and couldn’t have loved it more. Such a complex, beautifully told story and SO much to do. Incredible art. Wonderful game!

This feels like it's inspired by some sort of ancient culture, I'm not experienced enough to know which. Maybe some sort of northern tribes? If anyone know if this has any roots in any cultures, I'd love to know. It definitely has that feel to it. I hope it is, there's lots of native tribes that don't get a lot of attention, but have really fascinating history and folk lore.
I've played the game and also read a lot about Norse mythology (got into through the Vikings TV show). The game incorporates a lot of Norse mythology and also Scandinavian folklore. There's a few characters from old Germanic Xmas stories too. In short the game is a mish mash of several ancient stories. It's fun and I highly recommend it however some of the puzzles are quite hard and you do sometimes find yourself wandering around randomly clicking n things to try and open up the next cut scene.

Röki is the monster's name. It's a story about redemption, shown as an inventory puzzler. The game has Scandinavian folklore, and it's pretty good gameplay wise.

It’s Scandinavian folklore! To be specific, Swedish is my guess. The names and just how the game looks seems very Swedish to me
