    I love how you both stayed the way you are. You are one of the rare authentic and "normal" people on UA-cam without stupid clickbait or annoying sponsorships. Stay awesome! Been a subscriber for six years now. Lots of love

      @Simnettnutrition  Рік тому +45

      Wow thank you! We are just us, no other way to be. Six years! Man you have seen some stuff. Lol. I get lots of offers for sponsored videos but they often don't align with the channel. UA-cam is not paying what it once did and it would be nice to get some extra income, but I'll never peddle and random bs to you.

      @@Simnettnutrition I highly respect that. There are a lot of channels that feel like commercials and most of the sponsorships have nothing to do with the channels or the content of the videos and it is just not credible. I also like that you don't walk around half naked most of the time like some other fitness UA-camrs do ;) kudos to you

    Dude, I love y’all’s banter! The laughter was contagious! By the way, when you’re cutting onions, if you put a wet paper towel beside it, the acid goes to the paper towel rather than your eyeballs. Just give it a try next time it works pretty well.

    😂 thanks for the laughs! One useful hack is when scooping food out of the food processor, get most of it out then put the lid back on and give it a spin again so the food on the blades spins right off clean and the blade can be pulled out so the spatula can make an easy swipe around the bowl with no blades in the way, and get every last bit

    For chopping onions, try placing a small bowl of water near the chopping board. Whatever it is in onions that makes you cry is attracted to moisture - the surface of your eyes is wet - but if you have a bowl of water nearby, it is attracted to that instead.

      Oh gosh, have to share this since I hadn’t thought of it in years… way back in the late 80s, my friend Connie and our moms went to a fashion show and lunch at the Belle Meade Country Club in Nashville, very hoity-toity. Dawn Wells was the celebrity MC, and naive Connie and I couldn’t figure out why she was acting so strange. Afterwards when we approached to say hello, she was smoking and drinking what l later realized was at least a double-shot of whiskey! Talk about bursting our little girl fan image! hahaha She was very nice, and now I realize how hard it must’ve been to be so typecast and end up MCing a fashion show, but I’ll tell you she was gorgeous in person!

I’m really glad you guys don’t do that! There is one UA-cam couple I watch that does videos fast like that too, usually shorts or Instagram ones and I HATE THEM I get so Friggen dizzy cuz how fast it is.. makes me think of games and such and videos where people put a whole sentence up to read and give you 2 seconds to read it. I will definitely try the brussel sprouts one and I even kind of want to go get a badminton racket just to try the tofu one even once. 😂 You may already know this but I was lucky the first time I bought a spaghetti squash it had a baking instructions label on it. The instructions were to poke holes in the squash with a knife and bake it on a baking pan for 1 hour. (it may vary according to the size of the squash). Then cut it down the center lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. It bakes perfectly every time and no wrestling with the tough shell. 🙂

    Re: Sweet-potato accordion slice: I think that would work much better if, rather than improvising a jig from chopsticks (which slide around), you made a purpose-built jig that has two sides attached to a base: lay the slice of sweet potato on the base and then slice down to the sides. The sides would not then slip around, and you could hold the jig in place with your other hand. Just a thought.
