Josh, I have been using Pro 7 a few weeks now and have maintained my slide making to PowerPoint - no longer will this be the case having now viewed this excellent tutorial. Cheers Simon.
Thanks Simon. Let us know if you have any issues as you learn and we can make a tutorial. It’s hard to remember what is helpful when learning once you know what you’re doing
Thanks Josh! This is probably the most straightforward tutorial that I've seen. Can you do a video on how you use scriptures and how to organize that info for service?
Thanks so much for this. I have been fumbling my way through learning ProPresenter and in the first few minutes of your tutorial I already learned a number of things I could put to use even while I listened. So very encouraging! I do have a question. I want to import text into a theme (lower third for readings) which it did no problem, except it didn't stick to the "3" delimiter I selected. I was really hoping it would create new slides using the same theme with 3 lines of text per slide, thus saving me from having to manually break up the text. Do you know if that is even a possibility? Thanks again for your excellent tutorial.
I have found that sometimes it is really hard to know which delimiter to choose as the text you are importing might not have the information for line etc. in it if the sentences run over a line and continue on. My best advice is to go and watch the video on the reflow tool as this will mean you can make any adjustments to the text quickly and easily if it imports not how you expected it to!
@@learnpropresenter Thanks. I figured I was looking for something that doesn't necessarily work. It's text that is a paragraph from a Word document. Just wish it would automatically populate new slides. I will do what you recommend. Thank you!
I do have one more question. I went to the church tonight to try it and got it to work!! The only issue I have is that we have ProPresenter 7 that runs through an ATEM switcher which produces the lower third on our stream. Right now what I've created in PP7 looks great on our screens in the sanctuary but appears to be a flush left lower third through the switcher. Any thoughts on how we can get it centered? Perhaps some setting in ProPresenter that we need to change? Thank you, Mary Lu
Good news, we use an ATEM switcher at church for our lower thirds as well! Are you using a different theme to control this in PP7 so it sends the same slide as your lower third? Possibly it could be adjusted in your theme? If you have no idea what I am talking about with themes it might be worth looking at that. We don't have any videos on it yet but there are a few floating around if you serach for lower thirds atem switcher with pp7
@@learnpropresenter is there a separate theme from the one that is on the slide that goes to ATEM? Or is it all in one? And yes I will go look for other videos. Thank you so much for making the video for me! I really appreciate it.
@@stjamesumcspartanburg With themes you could have them setup so they are different. Do you send exactly the same image to both your livestream and in the room or are they different looking but with the same content?
Just new to this version of propresenter. Have they moved the apply to all slides button? I I was adding a new song and I changed the text and line spacing on slide one but couldn’t find the add to all button we had on 6. Anyone got any ideas?
When I Import media images for my background, they come up totally blank. I"ve made sure they are on top and not hidden. I've tried using saved backgrounds from my computer and downloading new. Neither show up on my slides, but all are listed in the objects column as if they are there. Any Suggestions?
I’m assuming they are correct file types like jpg or png so that shouldn’t be the issue. You may need to try and import them a different way. For example if you’re drag and dropping them in maybe click import and select them. Alternatively I would check that they are showing on your slides on top of everything else and not set to the background or back as there may be something else on top of them blocking them out
You have a couple of options, you could try and publish the doc to the web (this would allow anyone access technically) by going file publish to the web then on your slide you can create a text box, go to the fill option and instead of colour choose web and paste the url for your published doc. This doesn't give you much control over the positioning etc. of the graph. Option two is to create an image of your graph e.g. screenshot it would be the easiest but may not be high enough resolution but worth a try then insert the image into pp7.
Hi when I get a jpg image off of pexels and try and drag it in I get the message "propresenter cannot import the following file"? Why is this as yours did it no hassles?
Hi Matt, my only thought is did you right click and save it or download it. Might also be worth checking if the file type is actually a jpg and not a webp or similar possibly.
@@learnpropresenter it was definitely a downloaded jpg. I had to drag it into the media bin to get it to work. I wonder if the 7.81 version amended this?
So glad they requested this because I am very thankful!
Simple and easy video to follow & understand. I was able to get some good nuggets from this. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback!

what if pexels doesn’t have the images i want?
You could take your own photos or try other stock image sites that provide royalty free images to use
This was good, but you need to slow down
Very Good
