I don't put them directly in playlist either. For just the reasons you said. There's a member of my team that does it the other way - now I have info to share with her. Thanks!
Thanks for this comprehensive explanation. I was having trouble playing media and presentation simultaneously because I was doing what you are not- directly adding media to playlist and expect them to overlap when clicked to play. You just answered the one question i am having trouble for days and i am so grateful. God bless you.
Rv should make it an option that the drag n drop automatically creates a presentation for the video. I’ve never asked for that feature … what do other think?
Hey Paul, question about best use case for videos in general- where would you suggest we store our videos? Into the media specific folder? Import it into the service playlist directly? I'm trying to save the time it takes to delete all of the different videos after we do a service. We don't need the old videos from last week in our dropbox source folder obviously. We could move them somewhere else. Would it be best use case to use a smart playlist for something like this?
If videos are a "one and done" kinda thing, a smart playlist that you clean out after church is what I'd do. If they're gonna be used repeatedly, I'd manually import them, maybe storing them in a folder named for the series or week(s) they're used so you can go one place and delete them.
Hey Paul! I have created a theme that is stretched out making the graphic a triple screen with a transparent logo prop in the middle over the picture. I am trying to figure out if it is possible to add a video to the 2 side screens but keep the middle screen the picture with the transparent logo. Every time I add video, picture in middle disappears making it a black screen with just the prop, however I am able to achieve this look using pictures and making it a slide element instead of a media element. Any suggestions or is this even possible?
If you're using a prop already, why not use another prop with that graphic on it? You can stack props, so that would work to have both on at the same time.
Hey Paul great video thanks……I’ve been using PP7 for a few weeks and is working well I have watched a lot of your posts, one thing I noticed whilst putting songs in the playlist I put background video at the front of the song but it doesn’t show! The background video will play from media bin but just won’t show on the view screen playlist Any advice please? Thanks in advance Steve
First, are they set to the background behavior or foreground? You want them to be backgrounds. Next, if you are using 7.11 or newer, make sure that you don’t have a background color set on the slides layer.

Thanks! When i livestream, the video mutes my voice. Maybe if i do It your way It would fix It
When I play a video it sounds distorted like almost sounding like it’s been slowed down but it isn’t
Odd. That's a new one on me. REach out to support and see if they have advice: support@renewedvision.com

Thank you Awesome info
@@kingdomminded_Life glad to help.
Watching this video is my absolute peak of me being a giant nerd
So, how nerdy does that make me, the guy who made the video?
;)
That’s Helpful
Happy to hear it.
I didn't even know you could add a video without a presentation
Now, you know what's going on if someone else does it. ;)
