    Under rated channel!

You might note that the "BOOSTER" is a full transceiver and that both antennas are actively receiving and transmitting. However you are correct on how easy it is to create a feedback path if the antennas are too close together. I have a very similar "WILSON", actually looks exactly the same, and it works well on all but 5G, the amplifier, or booster when turned on reverts my phones to 4G or 2G, many times I have to turn off the booster to get 5G service. Now I know what those are. They have them on all the oil field trucks out in west Texas.

I don't know. The kit came with an extention piece, but I did not need it.

We live in an area with weak cell signals. If this device is installed on a house, will it boost signal strenght to cell phones used around the home?

    • @nothingbutgadgets

There is no logical reason why it shouldn't work for a house just as well as for a car. However, I have the same problem as you where I live and have a much cheaper solution for you. Here is a video I produced for the product that I personally bought and installed two years ago, and it is still working fine today.

Have you done a review on a product that you can wear, and it will protect you from a person beating you with a bat to the ribs or someone stabbing you with a knife?

I think there should be a ground strap from the antenna base to the truck, the wood is an insulator. Hopefully the TESLA phone will make this booster unnecessary. I don't want any of that darn shrinkage, (George Costanza)

If I may ask. Why do you feel a mobile vehical mounted antenna needs a ground?

    • @PowderMill
      @PowderMill 3 місяці тому +1

      He’s actually right.
The antenna is emitting RF and generally requires a proper ground plane for best performance.
(especially with the higher frequency spectrum… cell service generally uses frequencies above 1.0GHz)
Our vehicle mounted public safety 2-way radio equipment, we install the antenna mount directly into the sheet metal of the vehicle roof for cars & SUVs and, for our vehicles with fiberglass bodies/caps, we actually install a 1’x1’ or 2’x2’ piece of sheet aluminum on the fiberglass roof and bond it to the vehicle metal frame with heavy gauge copper wire.
It acts as the ground plane for the antennas.

@PowderMill There is no ground on a vehicle that is on rubber wheels. There is a Negative, but no ground. In order to have a ground, you must have a solid connection to the ground.

Yes, it needs to be grounded

@@phatboizbackyardkustomz9006 How do you achieve a ground and a vehicle that is on rubber wheels? 🤔
      "What is Ground in Electrical?
Ground in electrical refers to the physical connection of a piece of equipment to the earth. It is an essential aspect of electrical systems as it provides safety and stability to the entire electrical network. The ground wire creates a direct path for excess electrical current to flow to the earth instead of through the electrical device or equipment. This grounding system protects people and equipment from electric shock, lightning strikes and electrical noise. Grounding also ensures that any faults in the electrical system tripping a protective device and prevent the potential spread of electrical dangers. In essence, grounding is a crucial aspect of electrical systems and an indispensable safety measure."

Low signal is low signal. Not sure how moving has any effect on demonstring the units capacity to boost low signal. Signal would fluctuatate going down that road, making it difficult to directly show a correlation between incoming signal and the boost.
Please elaborate on your thoughts as to how you think moving would have been beneficial to the test?
