Bowie looks like a villain from a cheesy 80's superhero show in this. And I wouldn't change it for the world. What an absolute legend.

+LeeSa Your right. It already feels like a lonelier place. The only conselation and it's a great one, we have his music. His spirit definitely lives there. Don't know about the "soul" where it went or didn't go. Whether it was the absolute end or just another beginning-who knows.

David Bowie arrived 1/8/1947 - BlackStar arrived 1/10/2016
Isn't it strange that when there is someone you've never met before passes, you can still feel such a loss. ….Even though we never met, David stayed up with me many a lonely night over the last 45 years - making my bad days better - my nights brighter, all while making me a better musician. ...What a talent. - What a career. - What a loss. - What a soul and thank you for sharing it and thanks for touching mine. -J.D.Gragg - - - We all know there is a footprint on the Moon - now we know there is one on Mars, David Bowie's.

+Tony Martin Yeh, there's some great stuff on here from the '90s Bowie- the absolute peak of his live career. Mike Garson, Reeves Gabrels, Gail ann dorsey, carlos alomar, and others whom I cant' recall their names for some reason. Contributed to the best Rock n Roll career ever. Sucks that he's gone. Cancer robbed us of at least 10 years of Bowie. What else can you say?!

The influence of David Bowie's music over the last nearly 50 years before his death and his innovative, chameleon ability to be so versatile and not merely change with the times but be a catalyst of the changing times will be heard and seen by generations of the past, present and future surely cannot and should not be denied. His star in the sky will shine brightly through the ages right next to the stars that were his inspiration. (and still inspire musicians to this day) And when the next great innovator and influence over current and future music takes his or her place as a star in the sky and joins them, Bowie will be one of the first to make a place for them and say either, "I'm glad we got to play together." OR "I wish we could have played together." I would much rather talk about how great it is to watch and hear Bowie and Robert Smith together. I'm pretty sure Bowie would want that too.

I must disagree: Robert's voice is very good, not only emotional, it's also technically great, you only have to listen songs like Disintegration to notice. Obviously Robert's voice fits better with his own songs (which are usually higher than this song), but I think I love Robert's deep voice (like in Plainsong) even more than his high voice.
    Awesome song here :)

Plainsong is my favorite, i think they fit perfectly here, and Bowie is clearly tickled, Robert seems blown away lol, the respect is clear with both of them haha, but for Robert it must be like getting to play with God, with Bowie it is like wow Robert actually came to play with me, love that about Bowie, you can tell how happy he is.
