Without words, communication and the passion in our brother's lives, are never heard. Without love the capabilities of our hearts are never reached.
We have to open our minds, open our hearts. I've never felt so empty; my words have never fallen so short.
I try to fight these changes but i lack confidence.

Note: Waking up everyday to this sometimes uninspiring world is what keeps us going. But the dreams and visions we have before we wake, is what keeps us alive..

They talk about luck in the industry, but this surpasses it on so many levels.
LITERALLY ONE OF THE BEST BANDS THAT CAME OUT ON RISE RECORDS AND HAD NO RECOGNITION. YOU CAN LISTEN TO ALL THEIR ALBUMS AND NOT GET THAT CRINGY PUMPED UP OVERLY PLAYED OUT BREAKDOWN FEELING. YOU CAN TELL THESE GUYS LOVE THIS SHIT. just my opinion.

This band has some of the most hard-hitting yet inspiring lyrics in melodic hardcore to this day.
Hits even harder when you find out he was in a bad place throughout all of it... That's coming from me, who was in a bad place in life throughout all of It Prevails and loved all their lyrics the same, only to find out this guy is now sober with the release of their latest EP 👍

Frank Garcia Are you fucking serious? It Prevails didn't start it all. They're a 2004 band and it's been around since the 90s. I will agree with you that they deserve more attention, though. I didn't learn about them until I heard their cover of Blank Space.

Feenom Arts That's lame, their name is too close to It Prevails, which is much older than them. Their new album cover looks too close to A Day To Remember's Homesick too. I like their cover of Blank Space, but this is the band I've been listening to the whole time since I heard that cover thinking it was them. This is the band I really like. I doubt I'm missing out on much with I, Prevail anyway, but thanks for setting me straight.
Honestly who could dislike It Prevails and what they stand for? There is PURE emotion in every song. Their lyrics talk about real life hardships and struggles, they help you stay positive and give you a whole knew look on life. This is true melodic metalcore!

It prevails never ceases to amaze me, this song in particular. This band has an awesome sounding vocalist with inspiring lyrics. Two extremly talented guitarists with well placed, beautiful, and creative riffs. A bassist that does so much more for the band than in most hardcore/meliodic hardcore bands. An intelligent drummer that always thinks of new fills that aren't alike at all, while keep the beat. Plus, all of their songs have serious musical structure. It Prevails, keep up the good work.

I played with these guys along with Counterparts and Volumes. Definetly one of the greatest days of my life sharing the stage with these guys and seeing them live.

I remember when I attempted see these guys in augusta, ga. I had just had foot surgery and had only enough money to buy a CD, all the sudden their someone in the band asked if I want to see them and offered to help out. I ending up saying no and just bought their CD. seriously, awesome dudes who make awesome music.

Metalcore are bands like The Devil Wears Prada, As Blood Runs Black, August Burns Red, etc. This is Melodic Harcore, or you can call it Hardcore. It doesn't matter to me. But I've listened to these guys for about 3 years, and these dudes will always have the most influence in my life than any other band.

@TtotheRob13 Yea man I'm from Ottawa Ontario. Counterparts hometown is a few hours from me. My band was supposed to play with them a while ago but we had to drop. Seen them live though and theyre phenomenal. Can't wait for a new CD from them.

@sacredxpain Not at all. Ian the lead singer is a very vocal atheist and it permeates through the lyrics that he writes.
Look up their song explanation content off their first album and read the lyrics online, they come with a note where he clearly states he's an atheist.

Deathcore is stuff like Chelsea Grin, Suicide Silence, and Job For A Cowboy. They may have riffs that sound metalish, but they are indeed, hardcore. :)
Melodic hardcore at it's finest. The emotion found in this genre towers over that of any other. If you like It Prevails, check out Counterparts. Another great melodic harcore band.
It's better that they're underrated so people who really dig melodic hardcore can enjoy their music before it hits mainstream media, you know people who enjoy good music don't want their tunes be ruined by mainstream listeners aka hipsters.
