I bought this too. I agree the torso is too long. I think the 2nd torso looks ok though.I havent recieved mine yet as I am still waiting on my brown suit Wolverine.

Great review once again! To me this is the Cyclops statue to own. I love how XM gave us collectors a switch out torso instead of just an extra portrait. It totally makes me feel like you own two different statues.
Definitely version B for me. And this is the best Cyclops statue to date. Cyclops finally getting some love. Very analytical review, but I feel you really nitpicked this statue compared to others.

Fantastic review, dude! As many people here, I am still trying to decide between this and the SS Cyclops. The XM costs double. Does it really worth it? We all wanna know your opinion about SS one, please.
I think if you are a huge Cyclops fan, you have to look at the XM version B, because you are basically getting two unique statues. If you are just looking to add a Cyclops because you want to have a complete X-Men team, Sideshow is a better affordable option, especially if you live in the US. So, it really depends on how you feel about the character.

that's the issue with XM, the proportion is kinda off just like you mentioned, even when you compare this to the beast statue ..cyclops looks bigger than beast, like the daredevil for instance the legs looks quite long compare to the body, ... the sideshow looks better
Despite the issues with the XM, I still like it better than the Sideshow offering (he looks like he’s crying under his visor to me, and I can’t unsee it, lol). At any rate, as long as there’s a Cyclops out there for everyone. I wish now someone would make an 80’s style costume instead of always this Jim Lee 90’s version.

I don't have pics yet, but I have him next to Jean right now and they look good. Their colours are reasonably close, so they do pair nice. I'd have to move a bunch of stuff to get him next to Dark Phoenix, though, lol
Sideshow has a more traditional look, and if you live in the US, will be significantly cheaper. However, I prefer the faces on the XM (someone said it looks like the Sideshow Cyclops is crying, and it's difficult for me to unsee that now, lol), but that's just personal opinion. Neck down, they are fairly similar aside from a few added details on the XM.
Thanks for this great review B, thinking to take this Cyclops. But you don’t talking about the issu from the head size. Many people who received him says is a too little if you compare it to the head of the Brown Wolverine. Cyclops is more taller than Wolverine. It’s the same problem with the XM Mystique who she’s oversized. Let me know what you think about and if you can make a video comparaison with the other statue of the line it will be great.
Cyclops is not underscaled. Cyclops has the correct 1/4 scale sizing, especially when compared to SS pieces and even other XM pieces. Brown Wolverine is overscaled just like Mystique. Brown Wolverine is 1/3.5 scale.
I am going to go on a bit of a rant here about the hobby in general, so please don't think I am directing this at you, :) Scale is absolutely one of the most overblown things in this hobby. Cyclops' head is smaller than Wolverine's...so what? Cyclops' head is also about the same size at the new Colossus PF, so who really has the small head of these three statues? My answer is none, because they each look appropriate on their respective bodies. The only real factor of scale that matters to me is height. This Cyclops is somewhere between 18.5" and 19" tall, the Brown Wolverine is around 16.5" tall (slightly taller than he should be, but sorry, that's not close to 1/3.5), and Colossus is around 22". If you could stand them up straight side by side, each character would look appropriate relative to each other. So, when people take these side by side photos on their phone of just the heads, they're missing the bigger picture. Anyway, that is just my opinion. Thanks for watching!
Great review. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of removing hairpieces to turn a light on in someone’s head. And with this Cyclops having all that flowing hair, it just reminds me too much of a toupee. Also, with those nasolabial folds and yellow adult-diaper underwear, I can’t shake the feeling of him being a geriatric grandpapa Cyclops. Might just be me. But once you associate an idea to a statue, no matter how far out there, it just stays with you forever and you end up not buying it.
I was also very excited to see review and great job on review. Proportions of body are so off though and they make him look to bulky. They called him “slim” in comics for a reason. I will say the portraits look a lot better than the pro type and screaming torso body is more proportionate. Great statue but honestly glad I went with SS instead. Thought sideshow isn’t as detailed as this one. Feels like cyclops from the comic book come to life on statue. XM did there own version which is pretty dope but they really messed up on body proportions wahhh. Otherwise really great statue. Hair issue was an easy fix too

Shady hahaha I love the name you gotta look at all aspects of a statue I think most people are impressed by this statue because of detail and the detail is amazing def wins in that aspect but a statue isn’t all about statue... it’s how it makes you feel also overall how it looks and the fact SS has a beautiful sculpt and portrait and gives off a real life action shot to makes it win. The statue is accurate to jim lee version. Portraits on SS have been winning in many of there statues and also the pose SS feels like real life action and nothing awkward about his pose. Expensive doesn’t always mean better 🤷♂️.... gambit xm is more expensive than SS but the SS of gambit is honestly the best statue of gambit I’ve ever seen created and trust me you will find more expensive gambits
Nestor Martinez We’ll just have to agree to disagree on Cyclops. I have both a XM Gambit & SS Gambit ordered for pre order. They’re both unique in there own ways. I give the slight edge to XM. But I wouldn’t argue between those two Gambits.
Shady yeah I understand I mean it all comes down to preference in opinion on these statues. Honestly both companies make amazing statues and just go about creating statues in different aspects. I might be a little bias over side show because they have done a really amazing job on their x men line. Not to take away from sideshow but a lot of the statues remind me of the comics come to life or cartoons growing up which is very nostalgic for me. XM takes a more realistic approach on characters I’ve seen which is also amazing but personally for me I like the comics books coming to life on those statues:)

Not a fan of this statue at all. It looks disproportionate and the pose is just not great. Not for me at all. The base is cool and that's about it.
