This is why I don't drink. I don't like the feeling alcohol gives me; like I'm less in control of my faculties and my reflexes are stunted. My father was an alcoholic but thankfully he never did anything like what this man did. That doesn't make him better it just means he was lucky. He's been sober and attending AA for as long as I can remember and he's a great man. I look up to him a lot because he was someone whose life was so bent out of shape but he didn't blame the world, instead he brushed himself off, found a career path, started a family and raised two children through college. He couldn't have done any of that if he allowed himself to walk down the destructive path of alcoholism. If you feel like you resonate with the distress of this driver seeking help when he was so inebriated, that's good because you have empathy. On the other hand, if you fear the same could happen to you, seek our your local AA and begin to retake control of your happiness.
