Sorry for late reply but Ortho4xp are textures and HDmesh is a mesh. Lemme explain so textures are what you would see if you flew over your house, they are photoreal textures, that is what ortho4xp is. He mesh are 3d objects that lay under the textures, such as mountains. I hope this helped

I have installed alot of the North America mesh tiles and it looks fantastic, and has even given me frame rates double what I had before. But, when I start at an airport, there are no static planes at any airports. Any thoughts?

Hey, I am fairly new to X-Plane (11) and have had some success stories about installing scenery. Being you are one of the masters at this, if you could answer one question for me. As many times as I have visited a certain region or add another to that region, say the west coast of the United States, how do you get around to the pop up window to install scenery otherwise you airport will be surrounded by water. Then I have to wait 90 minutes to two hours to reinstall that portion of the country. No telling if I have to install others if I go there.
What if I already built some tile using ortho4xp and I have hd mesh v4 package for that specific area? I believe that ortho4xp creates some "own mesh" too. Thank you for answer. 2nd question: Can I install it on different HDD where I dont have XP11 installed? I applied this tactics to ortho4xp files.

Something buggy about the core scenery, imo. I've tested it with many different configurations of mesh/orthos/overlays (as well as plain Laminar) and it performs substantially under par in every case.

hd mesh works if you use the earth nav data folder from hd mesh..... if you creating a tile outside the hdmesh cover, then use the regular nav data folder...
I always find X Plane 11 scenery lacking contrast or 'snap' as a photographer might call it. It is good, but also lacking. Am I the only one looking at it that way.

Enable static aircraft from thr graphic settings menu.

Yes you are. Just select the mesh folder of the HD mesh instead.

The ortho4xp is a mesh and hence needs to have the lowest priority in the scenery packs.ini so that airports can be on top.
Does this play with Ortho4xp well? Is this the same or choose one or the other?

Ortho is more realistic, but HD Scenery can be used for overlays with ortho for the optimal experience.

Ortho4XP has its own mesh. You can use the HD mesh for ortho overlays.
I tried the DEMO but i didn't like the graphics,
it looks outdated.

Another beautiful video, thanks! I cannot understand why London should bring my system (i7 8700k/1080 ti) to its knees (30 in most cases).
London city appears to have something that makes it very resource hungry. Never had an issue, but many have complained of low FPS.

Nicolas Ami You have a good machine. FPS drop not that bad in flat areas. Only in involved scenes you can expect 5 FPS drop maximum.
