In Chennai there used to be lots of Brahmin mess during 70s to 90s which served cheap and tasty food to plenty of workers especially in TNagar, Mambalam and Mylapore/Triplicane areas.
I have seen many mansion guys surviving with Brahmin mess food. Nowadays many have shut down due to competition but still these mess are best in quality.
