- Scuba diving Ellaidhoo / Maldives with "Dive&Sail". Filmed with the GoPro Hero 7 Black in 4K 60fps for underwater footage, and with the GoPro Hero 6 Black in 2.7K 60fps (upscaled) for land and drone.
The Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon Resort is one of the top holiday destinations for scuba diving and snorkeling in the Indian Ocean. The reef at Ellaidhoo is just amazing and the diving center also offers many different half day trips to the top dive sites as well. Here in this video I will show you the diving center and we also will have one (summary) of this amazing half day trips. Come with me and jump into the deep blue.
For this video I used the GoPro Hero 7 Black ( 4K 60fps ) for underwater and the GoPro Hero 6 Black ( 2.7K 60fps ) for land and drone. I also used the orginal GoPro gimbal "Grip" and the original GoPro drone "Karma".

Yes, I'm also impressed about the 4K 60fps footage from the GoPro Hero 7 Black. The next video is a 101% scuba diving video from the Maldives and only 4K 60fps footage were used, stay tuned for it and kindly regards my friend !

First, your videos are fantastic. The color is quite good for a small sensor. They appear less noisy and contrasty but a bit dark. I was wondering if this was a low iso choice or did you push the contrast post. I'm looking to buy a camera for freediving/diving and I happen to have an old A6000. So I'm trying to decide if the old A6000 (1080 60 fps APC sensor) with a Seafrogs housing or a stabilized smaller sensor GoPro 7 made more sense. I love your channel.
Hi Isaac, thanks for your words. I really do more than appreciate it. Well, that's the big disadvantage of all action cams = the small sensor. I'm still on my way to edit the GoPro-footage in a perfect way, especially for underwater scenes. In this video I did some kind of mistakes because my new monitor was not calibrated and I also went too dark. I had really bad conditions for filming underwater in the Maldives. The visibility was unfortunately bad and we were often diving around 20-30m. Not much light for the small sensor of a GoPro. The next video, still working on it, will show the "power" of the GoPro 7 in a much better way. About your thoughts : My personell problem with HQ-Cameras : expensive and big. I also want to film in the highest resolution as possible. The GoPro 7 offers 4k 60fps and that's really on top. I also love the possibilities of a GoPro (easy snorkeling on a selfie-stick, drone shots, land shots with a gimbal) . Maybe a used A6000 is the better solution for you, maybe not...it's really hard to say. I hope you find "your" camera and having awesome dives with it :) Warm regards...
What program are you using to edit and upload to UA-cam? And do you use a program to compress it before sending to UA-cam? My 4K 60fps are uploading pixelated. I use Final Cut Pro X to edit and upload directly.
Hi, well I use Magix VDL 2019 but you have the "better" software (quality of the export is better). I don't do any special compressing. I can only recommend you to google : "uploading best quality to UA-cam with Final Cut Pro". Most important is the bitrate...
Dive&Discover Yes I have Googled til I’m exhausted looking for answers. Answers are far and few between without using Apple Compressor. Upload settings are automatic though FCPX so no way to customize them or even see what the automatic export settings are. We are just baffled as to why our 4K 60fps are so pixelated.
