- Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon was filmed in 4K 60fps with the GoPro 7 for underwater footage, and with the GoPro 6 in 2.7K 60fps (upscaled to 4K) for land and drone.
The Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon resort is one of the top holiday destinations for scuba diving and snorkeling in the Indian Ocean. The view on this stunning coral reef is just incredible ! Meet a shark or take a seat at the beach and enjoy the sun. You have the choice....I knew what I had to do.
What you will see in the video ? Almost the whole Maldivian island :) Beaches, dive center, main restaurant, bars, our beach bungalow, the water bungalows, trails on the island, the amazing reef, just almost everything...there is enough left over to explore for yourself ;)
This video is a 101% GoPro movie. All footage were filmed with the GoPro Hero 7 Black (scuba diving and snorkeling) and the GoPro Hero 6 Black (land and drone). I also used the GoPro gimbal (Grip) and the GoPro drone (Karma). The resolution of the orginal footage is 4K 60fps for underwater and 2.7K 60fps (upscaled to 4K) for land and drone.

Tolles Video von der Insel Ellaidoo auf den Malediven und dann noch in 4K 60fps, super Arbeit. Die Malediven stehen für 2020 auf unserer bucketlist, wir wissen nur noch nicht welches Atoll 🤔

Hi Matt, no I didn't use a filter, the GoPro footage was filmed in Protune Mode and it's post processed.

Thank you Alvaro 😊 In this Maldives 2019 video I didin't use any filters or lights. Just the GoPro 7 in "Protune-mode" on and color grading in post processing. Iso : 100-400 - EV-Comp. : -0.5 and over all a flat profile (color&sharpness). Kindly regards and have thanks for your visit 🙂

Hi, best video of this island on UA-cam! Did you have to obtain the permissions before flying your drone? I'm not sure whether to take mine.
Hi Paul and thanks a lot! Yes, you officially need the permissions from "Ministry of Defence and National Security" (MNDF) and "Maldives Civil Aviation Authority" (MCAA). I had them both and I also asked the manager of Ellaidhoo. It is of course conceivable to fly without permission but that can go wrong. Think of the sea planes that often fly quite deep. When does your trip to Ellaidhoo start ?
Good job I left it at home then. Currently on the tarmac waiting for take off ;-)

@@DiveDiscover Hi yes it was great, very windy though so couldn't have flown anyway. Only did the one dive but lots of snorkeling. Island has changed a little since your video, not much though. Very nice staff, great food and warm seas.
Still watch your video though as its better than anything I could have put together.
Cooles Video, die Unterwasseraufnahmen sind mal wieder stark. Die Insel an sich sieht auch nicht schlecht aus, die - scheinbar notwendige - Mauer ruiniert es optisch leider komplett. Aber an sich wieder ein richtig gutes Video, Daumen hoch

Das bisschen unter Wasser sieht aber auf jeden Fall ganz gut aus. Über Wasser ist's dann halt auch Geschmackssache. Ne 50/50 Mischung ist am Besten ;) Schönen Gruß zurück & immer gerne ;)
Ellaidhoo ist wirklich Mega unter Wasser. Wenn du irgendwann mal das Schnorchelvideo siehst, sollte es mal fertig werden 😆...dann verstehst du es glaub im Ganzen 😊 Bin halt einfach Unterwasser-Fetischist 😅😊
Ich könnte auch den ganzen Tag schnorcheln, danach aber gern 1-2 Bierchen mit geilem Ausblick 😉
Dazu würde ich nicht nein sagen...aber soo schlecht war der Ausblick dort auch wieder nicht 😉🙂

Hi and thanks a lot 🙂 All the underwater footage in this video is around Ellaidhoo. You just have to walk a few steps from your room and start snorkeling 😊 These sharks there are very shy, it's very hard to see them close. At the beginning of the vacation I really had some concerns but it's absolutely no problem...they're more afraid of you 😅

Du meinst Unterwasser für die GoPro? Nein, alle Aufnahmen bei schnorcheln am Ellaidhoo Hausriff entstanden ohne Rotfilter aber nachbearbeitet sind sie 😉

Indeed...a shark 😄 Many sharks around Ellaidhoo 😉 But no worries, the whitetip sharks are not really dangerous. They are more afraid of you than you are of them. These are very shy reef sharks...no problem.

Hi, I absolutely agree. Ellaidhoo is paradise 😊 In my opinion the Maldives are safe 😉 In 2020 I would more worry about Corona than ISIS...
