I think this may be the best one so far. Truly SHORT story, riveting the whole way through, featuring an element of the paranormal who’s appearance is so well described and on some level, justified, and being totally devoid of the typical motivation of simply terrifying those who remain occupants of its former realm, adds it’s degree of intrigue to the story without resorting to shallow representations that qualify it as a “ghost story”. It remains, therefore a prime example of a quite noble literary art form.

Thank you for uploading the story.
I listened to the end to give it a chance.
So this celebrated 'Indian' uncle never thought of such a simple solution himself? He never thought of finding out about native beliefs and how to appease the ghost? And, voila!, there were a pair of brown hands available when needed!
Come on, there are more holes here than in a air of old socks
The arrogance and dismissive attitude of the colonials on full display here

What gave me a giggle was the involontary thought that trust a man to take the wrong one..

There is such a medical museum in the Washington, DC, area, which I visited many years ago. Not for the faint-hearted. :(

Anyone who has ever been to Salisbury Plain knows it was never a “desolate expanse”. It has seen regular human occupation for many millennia, and although sparsely populated in parts, is certainly not desolate or bleak!

Can't listen anymore! Bloody adverts are a nightmare! Don't know what deal the site has with you tube but it's the wrong one! 😡

Google premium eliminates ads. I don’t have anything to do with their policies.

Unless UA-cam has changed a great deal, you can place ads at specific timestamps. If you have turned over management of ads on your channel to one of many companies in this business I suggest taking control and firing them. They don’t care about the growth of your channel
, only making as much as possible. I have listened less to your videos lately because there are so many ads. Every 7 minutes just ruins the experience. Consider your channel grew rapidly because you use quality ai voice but more importantly select excellent works in the public domain. The op and I aren’t the only regular listeners affected by the excessive ads. Maybe 1 in the beginning and another every 20 minutes won’t ruin your growth and likely will result in more revenue if you’re patient. Premium users are a small audience. And if you put in a bit of commentary, there are ways to make money such as patreon. But you have a good thing going and I’ve enjoyed many stories, so thank you even if you ignore the feedback and play ads every 7 minutes.
