This mod was so beautiful to watch... Its story is almost as good as the main game's if not better. Gives an explanation for Quote and Curly's backstories And to top it all off: Quote finally says something. At least something more than just: "Curly! It's me, Quote!"
Like honestly Pixel doesn't even need to make a sequel. He could just collaborate with ZarroTsu and make this mod official and say: "Hey, everyone, this mod is canon!" and that would be good enough.
@@MrMega1423 agreed. I low-key hope pixel does that one day, he made an amazing game and the fandom pushed it to the limits to make this mod. I just recently replayed this mod (went for the secret rooms too, and barely finished the super secret boss rush.) And it's just as well made as I remember.

I consider this the true sequel to Cave Story. And if this IS the true sequel to Cave Story, that makes the Quote and Curly Brace rule 34 WAAAAAAY creepier.

I beat it in around 5 days when I first got it. In the sand zone, *SPOILERS* You have to link the teleporter Mimiga to Gaudi, and Gaudi to Mimiga, then take flower. You will find a little shack with the booster 0.8 in it. Afterwards, Link Mimiga to Flower, and Flower to Mimiga. And, from flower, go up till you find gaudi. Take gaudi, and you will find Misery's shack and you can go well from there. :)
well yes and no, Monster X actually wanted to fight, but you abuse the mechanics of Monster X to catch a ride instead. The game actually awards you a medal if you kill Monster X during that passage.
The final fight with the doctor used the same set of Ballos’s fighting moves including the dash-stomp. The Very final fight with the eyeball creature also included setup from the Ballos set.
