  • Pinarello invited us to Park City to try out their new Dogma F, compare it to the Dogma F12, and see how it stacks up against other bikes we've ridden like the Scott Addict RC.

    I am considering to get my first bike and there is a f12 with great pricetag, would it be very aggressive and uncomfortable? I am not particularly flexible and want to get a bike to do it all. Not much of climbing around my area, mainly flats and small rollings. Thanks!

      Pinarello has great sizing. As long as you select the correct size they typically have slightly higher stack and a little shorter reach, perfect people who are less flexible. If you don’t have any long climbs in your area then the F12 or F are good bikes. Take a look at tire clearance on the F12, it might be less than you want.

    Thank you for the review. I have a Dogma F on order and I'm looking forward to riding the new bike. Did the Dogma F weigh more than your Scott?

    • @utahcanyoncycling
      @utahcanyoncycling  2 роки тому +1

      The Dogma F weighs more than the Addict RC.
      The Dogma F frame weighs 850g in a size 53 with the fork at ~400g. The Most bar/stem combo weighs 350g. The Dogma F seatpost weighs 190g.
      The Addict RC (ultimate) frame weighs 815g in size 56 and the fork is ~335g. The Syncros bar/stem combo weighs 330g. The Addict seatpost weighs 160g.
      So the difference there is about ~150g. Not a lot, but some. The other differences will come based on wheels, saddle, groupset.

    Interesting review and comparison between the two top Dogmas. Not a lot of comparos like this on UA-cam. Really interested in the F and have one on order. Your review is interesting and differs slightly from another review done by Sigma Sports. I have heard the frame is very very stiff. I was also surprised to hear the acceleration not as fast as other bikes ! I heard it was impressive and better in the F than the F12. Thanks for the review.

      Thanks for watching! I do think the F is better than the F12, but if you already had an F12 the difference wouldn't be as noticeable.

    Hi, I just bought Pinarello Dogma F, had my first ride 2 day. I’d say it is very stiff frame compared to my previous Factor Ostro VAM. But when you get going it just roll out easily. Weigh wise it is just 36g heavier than Factor Ostro VAM. My set up is Dura Ace group set, Bontregra Aeolus RSL 51 wheel set, MOST trap bottle care, Ceramic Speed OSPW & BB wahoo comp mount & Ultegra Pedal total weigh 7.39kg. Compare to same set up but sworks carbon 3 bottle cage total weight 7.2 kg. Should I change the group set or seat post to make it lighter???

    • @utahcanyoncycling
      @utahcanyoncycling  Рік тому +2

      Dura Ace is the lightest group set right now so I wouldn’t change that. If you are worried about weight I would get rid of the ospw and ultegra pedals.

    Hi. What tire size on that Dogma F. With DT Swiss 1100? Is there enough space say using 28mm tire at the back? Thanks.

    • @utahcanyoncycling
      @utahcanyoncycling  Рік тому +1

      Yes, you can use a 28mm. I bet you could even fit a 30mm on the F, but Pinarello only recommends up to a 28mm.

    Hi, I am confused, I do a lot of endurance traning 70-100 miles a ride and big climbs, which will you recommend; dogma F, tarmac Sl7 pro, scott addict rc pro?
    Thanks

    • @utahcanyoncycling
      @utahcanyoncycling  Рік тому +3

      Those are all great bikes and it will come down to what you like most. I'd say the Dogma is the most stable, but the heaviest, the Addict and Tarmac are lighter. The Addict is more reactive than the Dogma, but the Addict is more stable and less reactive than the Tarmac. Personally I think the Addict and Tarmac have a little bit more of the acceleration feeling when you step on the pedals, but the Dogma seems to hold top speed a bit better than the other two bikes. For bike fit, the Dogma has slightly less aggressive geometry, so if you just want something that fits more comfortably then the Dogma would be a good choice. Good luck!

      Officially the tire clearance is 28mm, but you can fit 30mm (WAM) tires.

    I own the s-works sl7 tarmac and my cousin owns the pinarello dogma F...when ever we swap bikes(we're both 6ft 2) we both noticed that the s-works SL7 was slightly faster..we both have di2 12 speed drivetrains and we ride on GP5000 continental tires..I totally agree when you said there's bikes out that are slightly faster..

      Thanks for sharing, it's always good to know others have had a similar experience! I agree that the SL7 has a little bit more spark to it than the Dogma F.

      Sl7 is lighter. But I’m sure on the decent dogma f will take the sl7 plus the wheels make a difference I’m sure both bikes have different wheels!

    Hi there,
    I own a Dogma F and I am keen on buying a ENVE 4.5 wheelset that you have reviewed in another video. I would like to ask you if this wheelset is compatible with Dogma F frameset due to tire clearance. I know that Dogma F has max 28mm tire clearance but since ENVE has 25mm internal width I am not sure if after mounting the tire there will be enough space for not rubbing the frame.

    • @utahcanyoncycling
      @utahcanyoncycling  Рік тому

      You should have room. 28mm tires on my 4.5 measure out to 30mm. As long as you have 4-5mm of clearance between the tire and the frame you will be just fine.

      Comfort is pretty good! It is still a race bike, but it's not as harsh as some of the older super stiff race bikes.

    Hai mate, how to spot the counterfeit dogma F beside the serial number? Since im lived in Asian countries Ive seen some got made in italy sticker and some dont have. Quite curious if it made in china or vietnam and not in italy

    • @utahcanyoncycling
      @utahcanyoncycling  2 роки тому

      The frames are made by Carbotec in Taiwan and China from Japanese Toray carbon fiber. The best way to spot a fake is still using the Serial Number. Pinarello has a few other suggestions on how to avoid fakes on their website pinarello.com/usa/en/false-frames

    ciao quanto pesa in taglia 56, gruppo durace? La Tarmac è meglio?

    • @utahcanyoncycling
      @utahcanyoncycling  Рік тому +1

      I don't know the exact weight, but it is heavier than the Tarmac. Which bike is better for you will depend on geometry and preferred handling characteristics. The Tarmac is sharper, the Dogma is smoother.
