I love your mix and the original.
Can we just talk about how nice it is that Metroid Dread continues the eerie and mysterious trend Super and Fusion had. I absolutely love it that the more you go further down the timeline the more it darker and mysterious it gets
It shows us an interesting view of the Metroid world - things aren't as clear-cut as they seem, situations are often as deep and dark as the caves Samus explores despite initial appearances, and things and sometimes even allies aren't as trustworthy as they initially seem
Looks like I'm not the only one excited for Metroid 5

This is so well made, both the original and your mix. I hope that the musical style in Dread continues to follow this theme of mystery found in the older 2D entries while still having that overall feeling of fear at the back that the E.M.M.I could pop up at any time.

1 year later: this ended up being the only song in the entire game that was noteworthy LOL. Very disappointed with the music in an otherwise great game and continuation to the series
@@briansimpson3863 Gotta disagree. While, overall, the OST of Dread isn't as much of a masterpiece as almost all other soundtracks from the Metroid franchise it still has plenty of really good ones in my opinion.

The theme's i heard don't have much of a theme to them. If I can pick out another song I like, I will most definitely!
@@Mesmonium Found it! During the gameplay, its the song that plays when fighting the big boss monster that turns invisible, its apparently its fight theme
One of the biggest problems that samus returns so bad was its generic music. Thankfully Mercury learned their lesson because this sounds more like the metroid style of music I expect

Not only is this a great mix but it's based off the song playing in the Dread Development History video. The songs played in that video will most likely show up in Dread itself, possibly as area themes. I'm about as excited to hear the music as I am actually playing the game.

I saw an thing for the new game it said explore and destroy the emmi robots! And I was like arent they indestructible? In true nintendo fashion Im sure samus will have the ability to kill them later.
I'd imagine so... only for them to make another powerful version of the EMMI
@@Mesmonium I saw footage where that red gun that went over her main gun, called the Omega Cannon or something can kill Emmis. So it seems at the very least there is that.
Metroid dreads ost is weird I can remember each melody when I here it but none stay in my memory outside of the duration of the song

Wow after 20 years we get a post fusion story! And somehow they could make this and STILL not give us ANYTHING about Metroid prime 4.
Well to be fair Prime 4 restarted development in 2019 and the pandemic immediately struck right after in 2020. I think a release in 2023 is probable
@@theakiwar9118 No, no fairness here. Look, the game was announced in 2017. Then in 2019 sure, they told us they scrapped it, sure. Then 2020 the Rona came, which didnt affect Japan as badly as it did say Europe or the good ol US. We're more than half way through 2021 and not so much as a screen shot, or concept art? Or anything? Was whatever they had from 2017-2019 so bad that nothing was salvageable? No ideas were good enough to even vaguely discuss? Nintendo is like the Kid who does their extra credit before actually doing the main assignment and ask for an extension, and shows no drafts to the teacher.
