excellent showings as expected. unfortunately I sold the basinski years ago during a brief moment of insanity. love Laurie anderson glad she made it on. another whale record to keep an eye out for 🐋!
Chris, here is a condensed version of my comment. I have an exerpt of ''Seastones'' ( 4 minutes) that was included on Dick's Pick's Volume 12, featuring two places where I saw the Dead perform, Providence Civic Center and Boston Garden. The shows were recorded in 1974 during the Wall Of Sound tour, on the cd, ''Seastones'' is credited to both, Phil Lesh and Ned Lagin. I had to laugh at the enormity of the '' Disintegration Loops'' box- set. My friend, Jim played the original version, when it first came out, on his college radio program, ''Colored Mind Drops'', it's connection to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, have given it ''historical weight''.The 1970 recording, ''Songs Of The Humpback Whale'' is a classic, my cd is on Paul Winter's label, Living Music. I saw Laurie Anderson perform live in the early 1980's, it was a spell-binding experience. Robert Haigh is someone I ''know'' but can't recall the context, his needle-drops were very engaging.
Seastones! I hadn't even thought about that but it's an awesome pick. The humpback whales record is very cool too; anything with Leonard Nimoy gets my seal of approval. I thought about using the Byrds' Dolphins Smile for that prompt. Fantastic response to this year's tag Chris!
A lot of music that overlaps into other areas. I never bought Sea Stones, but sounded good and could also be dreamlike. I liked the Robert Haig too, and was new to me. Thanks Chris.
William Basinski looks really great. I guess it's logical that Leonard Nimoy narrated an LP about Whales given the subject matter of Star Trek IV. I have that Laurie Anderson box. Great choice.
Michael, I do see part of your comment, but it disappears if I click on it. "Michael Valentini commented: "Chris, thank you for responding to Alex's far- reaching and inspirational tag. Alex posed some questions that I had trouble answering to my satisfaction, so I gave up and just made a video!
That Basinski box is serious business. Great response Chris.
Thanks Dave. I did not recognize @etheric5 as your channel. Looking forward to some meet-up videos during Steve Carlson's visit.
Fantastically delivered Chris. I have been loving this Tag. I am thinking of responding if I can get it together~
Rob, I think that you could do a much better job than I did. Hope that you join in. Thanks, Chris

Thanks Alex. I don't feel that I did justice to your tag, but at least I got one out there.
''insane in the membrane''

Thanks Randy. I didn’t think of Dolphin’s Smile.

Thanks Dave. That's what I was thinking that all of these were pretty interchangeable.
Hi ya Chris what’s to say here??? Two words AWESOMELY CHUFFING 😎🎶😎✊🏻🙏🏻✨☀️🎶cheers my friend! Grateful Dead right out the gate connection sweeeeeeeeeeet
Hey Lis. That reminds that I meant to mention the Greyfolded CD, pretty experimental. 2 CDs of over 100 Dark Star snippets as one long piece.
@@christopherkibler511 wowza!! I’m totally not familiar w that!!! Sounds great! You have one of the coolest collection my friend!!

Thanks Brian.
I'm still not sure if I get Laurie Anderson.
Chris, my original comment disappeared, I'll try again later.
