I saw them at the Bottom Line in 91 (I think), and open for Lou Reed at the Saint James Theater. They are just as tight today as they were back in the day. Don't believe the naysayers ^
At about 10 min, they launch into a 'western' instrumental, and I remembered a show c. '86 when I hollered out 'play Walk Don't Run'. Almost got a smile.
saw them live a few months ago and they smoked! Started off slow and then built up a rocking show, these guys still are one of the best live bands; they might look old but after 40 years they still got it--THIS IS an acoustic show totally different than their electric show
I would say this set resembles Crazy Rhythms and The Good Earth for record reference points, since both albums were not as electric focused as the last two. Not that they didn't play electric earlier live! I started listening to them when The Good Earth came out and I moved to NJ and met quite a few Feelies fans who raved about their shows at the Loop.
I can watch this video over and over…so good…Bill M. your rhythm acoustic guitar playing is inspirational …thank You Feelies play again in Chicago soon…
Had a great time. It was a fun little show. Setlist for anyone interested................ When Company Comes, Find a Way, Egyptian Reggae, In Between, The Undertow, Let's Go, Nobody Knows, Original Love, Crazy Rhythms
opening the set with When Company Comes, amazing & some perfectly synchronous serendipity after opening today with Glenn's beautifully blissful lp wheels in motion followed by The Good Earth! thank you very much for the upload & helping the universe make a bit more sense
I love your channel! I found so many little gems here that I have never heard of before. Thanks for doing this! these guys play really good music and the bassist is a cutie!
This is a rather bad show. Not the same band I saw back in 1991. They were awesome. One of the original drummers is missing and as you mention really hard to understand why they don't invest in guitar tuners.
I see Dave and Stan in the same places they have been for 30 years. Nobody missing. I'm thinking cazzie doesn't dig the Feelies, and never will. That's a shame.
@EndofMusic It was the Time for a Witness tour so I'm 99% sure they did. I just can't recall. It was a great show and sadly the last chance I got to see them. Stanley Demeski was a great drummer.
My husband (at the time) and I saw them play in Cleveland in the late 80's. Stan gave us each a drum stick. ☺Such a fun night!
Where did the Feelies play in Cleveland back then? I can remember driving to Cleveland from WV to see shows in the early/mid 80s.
@@seanoneil277 A place in the Flats called Aquilon in '87 or '88.
One of the best rock-n-roll bands...EVER.
These people are absolute legends. Time moves quickly, wish I was around to be there for their prime
I saw them probably 5x between the mid-80s and mid-90s, sometimes in NJ sometimes NYC sometimes Baltimore or DC. Always great.

I saw them way back in 1986. They are a great band! Also from New Jersey like me!

The Felies are the best! thanks for doing that Yung Wu show last week and posting it. legendary!
Acoustic gig fits really well!!!!
Let's hear it for The Feelies! Best band ever. Thank you for posting this video.
I just tripped over this--great show.
Nobody hits a groove like these guys.
Smooth as cat shit.
The masters at work
The guys should be famous like the Velvet Underground.
Love this band and have since they started....
Nice set. I caught them during Crazy Rhythms and they're still great. Yes, I caught that homage to The Modern Lovers.
Had a great time. It was a fun little show.

Out of tune guitars - repetitive chords - bad vocals - what more could you ask for?
