I recorded all the studio versions and did the live mix for all the live ones. For the record Carla Bley did NOT produce Moscow Nights. We only recorded it at her studio and Bill, Glenn and I produced it and I engineered it.
I saw the early Feelies at CBGB and was quite taken by the band. I saw them again at Max's with new drummer Anton, the tempos on all songs speeded up, which took some getting used to but ultimately worked out better.
Yeah! When the heard the Ork single for the first time, I wondered if there wasn't a bunch of other stuff on record. Some of these recordings I'd heard but some I hadn't before now. A big, big thanks for putting this up!
I have that thing that was floating around of the two sets at CBGB's (where this comes from) plus the two Numerogroup singles (that are also here). I even took a chance at purchased the outlying single hoping there were more!
does anyone know if there is any recordings of the Ork Records line up other than what Numerogroup has leaked out on singles? That stuff is a game changer in my mind... wished CR was this raw.
