Steering rack went at 55k, 3 weeks into ownership, then dpf filter 3 days later, was advised throttle body would need replacing. Waiting for the next warning light 😅
I have A 2019 240D HSE which has just turned 59000 miles. Totally trouble free until last week when the main battery was weak so replaced at a cost of £205 so apart from a set of tyres that is the expenditure apart from oil changes every 10000 miles. No complaints and one of the best cars I have owned.
Hey thanks for sharing your experience with the velar, we have another 2 years ownership vid coming out soon. Sounds like you have had a great time with it. Great to hear from Range Rover owners that have had good experiences. Thanks for leaving us a comment🤗
So the engine might blow up, can't open the doors, infotainment screens freezes, the transmission is bad, the steering is bad. Is there anything working on this car?
D300 VELARS are TIMING BELT not chain , wait for a rattle and your engine is gone :) People are not aware of this and dont change them in time and just worsen the brands reputation
Hi Dear, I own a range rover velar 2068 plate. The passenger side door handle will not deploy when opening the car from the inside buttons on the driver side. About a week ago, the passenger side rear side door handle cannot retract when trying to close the door, but it will automatic deploy when driving. I just cant figure out what's going on with these doors. Any idea what do please.
If the car key isn’t in a faraday pouch and close to you front door then thief’s can get the signal easy. You can turn off keyless entry. You can see how in our stop thief’s video. This was one of the top stolen cars in the UK last year! Thanks for the comment
Thanks mate, appreciate the comments. All we have heard is positive comments on the Velar and Adam the owner of this vehicle has had no problems. I say if you find a good spec one with good price then go for it if you feel it’s right for you 🤗
Hey guys, need some advice. Just bought an velar 2017 p250 63k km at 56 the cam belts have been changed bcs rattle so that should be sorted. What are service intervals and when to service the transmission? Please advice me as im new to LR. :) Ofcourse will ask when i pick it up at delivery but just looking ahead. kind of scared because of all the negativity about thes e cars, but also very excited to pick it up hah. Ive seen enough 2017 p250s on the internet with 150k km's so i have no idea.
Hey congrats on the purchase. I hope you love it :) According to the dealer, it's 16,000 miles or 1 year whichever is soonest for servicing. For the trans ZF recommends fluid change at around 70K I believe. Fingers crossed you have got a decent one. There are loads of people who haven’t had any problems with these cars. You only hear from the ones that have had problems. All the best let us know how you get on. Thanks for chatting with us 🤗
@@CarChatTV driving it for 2 weeks now! Absolutely in love, 2017 65k kms now, car looks brand new always sat inside looks like it. Everything works great no faults at all, infotainment no probs. SO HAPPY!!!! :)
@@jakebrice3280 ran 10.000km so far, had cel with pointing to timing, but went off by itself again. no trouble with the engine running. Gonna let it checked out anyway under warranty. Absolutely in love with the car.
We have got a PHEV evoque review coming out soon and that was decent. Haven’t tried the velar PHEV yet. Be interesting to see what that’s like. Thanks for the comment 🤗
Hi. I’m considering buying a 2020 Range Rover Velar 300D with 98,000 km and 2 years of warranty. Is it worth it? Do these models with the 300 engine have any known issues?
Hey thanks for the comment. I mean definitely if it has good service history and receipts of work done it could be a great buy. 2 years warranty included sounds good you don’t always get that. I think the engine problems were pre 2020 and they sorted them out in 2019. However things can go wrong at any time. I would make sure you have some money kept aside always with Range Rover/land rover. But keep it serviced well and it will be good to you. Have you taken it on a test drive? Does it all feel good? Thanks for the comment and good luck. Let us know if you get it 🤗
Not quite true. Know what you are looking at, ask the right questions and get preventative work done early purchase or with purchase, then look after it. Buy the right engine for your driving too. Most failure, not all of them, but most is due to people buying a diesel for short trips and the dpf clogging and then the oil dilution issue cropping up.
Let us know your experiences with the VELAR or any other common faults not mentioned in the video 🤗

Worsen, the brand reputation 😂 brand has zero reputation when it comes to reliability

Don’t buy it,
I have one 2018, it's great
Do you know if 3.0L diesels are more reliable than 2.L diesels? Those are rubbish😢
5 dollar thermostat 3000 labor I'm glad we got extended insurance 😅
Yeah. Extended insurance sounds good with these. Thanks for sharing 🤗
Ranger Rover has lost it's way....
you are buying problems, not a car.

I've actually decided against buying one going for a BMW X5 instead..
Heard the PHEV petrol is most reliable?

Conclusion: don’t buy it
That’s an option, yep
All the 2litre petrol engines are way more reliable then the diesel engines. Be aware.
How sure are you
never buy a used RR, unless its from a main dealer with a warranty. It WILL break down
