They create fear to isolate you from your safe environment. "Everyone else means badly for you, just trust me." The whole video is in black and white. Because that's the way the world is. There is only good and evil. Only at the end, when Till destroys the TV and thus the outside influence, does color come back into life. Fun fact. At the end on the couch, they eat foam kisses.
