The intention is your deck now has more splash. While it does suck to kill matchups like wallbreakers, old decks will change with these new towers.

The cannoneer is an overall buff to the E-spirit. No king tower activation risk and perfect against bats and skeletons
no one is going to run the cannoneer its pay too lose this is not a buff to anything at all unless your opponent likes to burn money

I think that you just need to give people some time to figure the Cannoneer out, since decks like Logbait and 2.6 are built for Princess towers. I expect that decks using the Cannoneer will look completely different than existing decks. It has so many great interactions, like fully countering Wall Breakers, Spirits, and Bombers.
If the Cannoneer had been out and Supercell only just released the Princess tower, people would be complaining about balancing and about how Spirits and Wall Breakers (1 and 2 Elixir cards!) connect to the tower now. No matter what, new tower troops will seem bad, because there aren't decks for them yet.

That would be good, but splash has to be super small, perhaps similar as non charging dark prince, that way skeleton army and the rest would be still dangerous, but as a result maybe nerf damage by like -10%?

You know what i think would be a helpful buff? A first hit speed, so the first hit will land faster then the rest of his shots it could help with graveyard and fill its tank killing role berrer without making major changes

I wanna see a splash tower, a melee tower(like builder base crusher), chain attack tower and a spawner tower(like it spawns a skeletons like troop that is ranged)

Yeah, this cannoneer needs either a scattershot type splash or just increase attack speed to the point of killing archers in one shot and not waste in overkill

I think I’ve wizard tornado with the cannoneer will be viable because you wouldn’t need another Dps card cause Cannoneer does so much damage. I would recommend something like splashyard too to make up for the lack of swarm defense
I think activating the king is key when using canoneer because it will help to kill skellies and bats on top of your tower a lot

You gotta try Skeleton King. He benefits from the swarm meta, and creates skeletons himself. Night Witch's piglets in comparison are not that great offensively against cannoneer.
They should add a little splash damage to him, like first goes the cannon ball, and then the explosion from it (or he could deal 5 times more damage, that would work)
I feel like the Cannoneer is one micro buff away from actually being good. More health, A little splash, a little attack speed, any of these could make it really useful.

I don’t know why people aren’t talking about the fact that they are adding more of these in the future so it’s not like everyone is going to be running log bait or graveyard when they know there is a chance for other towers that could easily counter it🤦 Imo this is a great overall addition to keep old players interested and add a new layer of strategy it’s just going to take a second to get enough tower troops to add the necessary variety
i think a good buff for the tower would be that its first attack on a new target is slow but on the same target it has slightly better attack speed. So that it can actually counter tanks effectively
should add a little bit of splash enough so that it doesn't die to tombstone but still being meant for high hp troops and not being able to wipe out a skarmy in one shot
I think it is better to give it more hp, minimum is = to princess tower, and a very slight attack speed OR range boost
the range boost and hp boost seem like the best options since it does more damage the best way to balance it is just to make it slower than the princess tower but it didnt make sense to give it less range and hp @@salmi2luccio

Even something as simple as a .5 tile spalsh or 1 tile splash at 75% hit damage would elevate this card to actually be viable
I think they should rework this tower. Either they could give it a small splash(1-1.5 tiles) or reduce damage by 20% and increase attack speed by 30%
Eventho the first tower troop is kinda lacklustre, the tower troop concept has some crazy potential in the future like towers with ability to heal or chain attack or maybe different percentages of spell resistant
Cr would benefit greatly from community support and I think it could definitely bring back a more enjoyable version of the game
They would benefit greatly if they listened to their community and changed the game accordingly. But sadly they prioritize profits more than player experience as do most other developer corporations/companies

The best deck for the new chalenge is evo knigth grave yard mother witch bats log zap valkyrie and skarmy i got 10 wins on a row
The best deck in my experience is miner poison with graveyard instead of miner, royal delivery instead of wall breakers, and Evo knight. I've lost one game out of around 25. Bomb tower shreds everything in this challenge.

I'm think I'm starting to understand the idea, it's kind of like changing what you want your crown towers to do, where cannoneer thrives against hog rider and wall breakers, it needs a lot of splash units to help deal with lots of small troops so I think cannoneer could be good in splashyard if it gets a health buff, but because the princess has been so versatile it'll be really hard competition, like deciding to use either the Valakarie or a battle healer as a mini tank, in almost every scenario Valk is better, but there are some cases where healer would be good.

It should give 20% faster elixir generation. Or make it immune to spells. Or give it minus x damage from any melee troop. So skeleton(grave yard) will only deal y damage( maybe 10 damage per hit)
Consider this for a moment, in the entirety of CR we’ve been so used to the princess tower, it’s fast we get it. We’re so used to fireball-ing/rocket-ing Tanky win conditions. Now that the Canoneer is here maybe we should focus on building faster/splashing cards

Adding tower troops are just rock paper scissors some are great against a deck that would be countered another and for the cannoneer just build a deck with good counter against swarm and bad for tanks. and people are saying he’s bad because we are used to the princes tower.
this might actually be the thing that kills this game, this is way more significant than evos because this changes the games way more, if they add something like a splash tower to counter swarms its just gonna be rock paper scissors meaning its more about luck than skill
if you're familiar with the game in the slightest, you've already been playing rps with deck matchups for years. this argument has existed from the very first build of the game and strengthened in nearly every addition; it will not kill the game - at least not because of its standalone luck factor
Because of this monk and skeleton king will be really common in the meta

Evo skeletons would be insane against the cannoneer.
This is how i would buff the canoneer. Make it 5% or 6% more dmg per shot increase its hp by 400. But keep its hitspeed. If you increase its hitspeed, the meta will be just graveyard or royal recruits.
