The problem is that every deck is built around the original tower troop. With this new tower troop you might need more cheap splash cards like the bomber. Or you just need something that shoots fast with low damage output like spear goblin maybe
I feel you on the building new decks around the towers. Although, I kinda feel the hp difference is a bit overkill
I'm going around with spear gob spam with mp rn, this may be a big opportunity for me. could be a loss too

Doesn't make sense tho. If someone has Zap or Arrows, your cheap card is gonna die then your Tower is dead.
While most decks have 1 or 2 splash and a small spell, you might need to add more with this one. I can see bomb tower and ice wiz being good here
Also yeah the tower health is too low, maybe they should've went with more health and then nerf it down until it's good

i think it might need splash damage but thatd be op…maybe increase its speed and decrease its damage to like a cannon
A little bit of splash damage would be perfect I think. That or just buff it and go all in on the slow heavy damage. Let it two shot hog riders lol

I think making the attack ricochet to 1 other enemy with slightly less damage could be good. It is still miserable against swarm, but can handle a little better against smaller swarms (like goblins, bats, piggies,...)
aoe for 10% of the damage to insentives upgrading the tower and give it a small counter to hoards like real canons

Too op because it's already good in some situations doing that will just decrease it's only weakness and increase it's strong point

I wish that instead of having to level it up we just unlock it and we can just use it rather than using an underleveled one.

I mean it is great against split wall breakers, evo archers etc as well as Beatdown which is huge in the meta rn so as long as you can make a deck tailored to it i can see the new tower troop having some success.
Advantages: It’ll be much easier to eliminate tougher enemies, like Tanks, Mini Tanks, and medium health ranged enemies. And it also stops those passive spawners that create weak enemies, like Furnace and Goblin Hut.
Disadvantages: Any swarm is going to shred it. G Barrel, Skarmy, Skele Barrel, etc. Lower health makes it more susceptible to spell damage.

even tho cannoneer is better against the goblin barrel then the princess tower
I think the new tower troop can be used to make princess + evo valk + nado decks pretty good, since previously they didnt have a good way to deal enough damadge to air cards

I think the tower should have MORE hp rather than less since its so slow... Make it like a tank. Also just like champions, they should have an ability that has a cool down. The one for this would be something to help it against its massive swarm weakness.

Maybe they should give it like a half tile aoe on its attack, with its low attack speed it will still be bad against bait but won’t be completely dead in the water.

I think having like a splash damage effect would be a really good buff to this card, cause right now it takes a while to just kill a few bait cards 😂
I suggest train more on kiting if you're gonna use cannoneer, because you're gonna need both towers hitting heavy troops and stuff like that
i think that is an interesting idea, not sure about the less hp tho, feels unfair and more like Pay 2 lose, i like that you have the different choices, i think it can become something welcome to the game (i still hate the greed of SC), im fairly excited of the tower troops but scared of the way they will monetize them like Evos.

I know people are gonna use the cannoneer to counter things like golem and such, so I think this meta is gonna be a huge swarm and dark prince meta
Simplest buff would be splash damage, the fire rate could be slowed even more in order to balance it
The new tower troop would be really nice if it gets a hit speed buff, as well as an HP buff. I think its HP should be the same as that of a princess tower, as it's better than the princess tower only in some situations, not always...
Maybe just adding splash damage to it would make it quite a bit better than it is right now.

I kinda assumed it'd have a small splash like the witches projectile, but that looks awful
if it did, it would counter tanks and swarms and it'd be a straight upgrade to the princess tower. they kinda had no choice here, either make something OP, have the community call you out on it being super p2w, have a bunch of people leave the game, and lose money, or just make it garbage and have some memes made about you. i honestly don't see why they even decided to add them in the first place. can't wait for the emergency buff to make it crazy OP so that they take both options and get memed on AND have the community become outraged bc the game would become so p2w 😁
@@Chimpin_they need to just buff the concept. Make it the same HP and make it do slightly more damage and attack speed or a decent damage buff. It should be one shotting a skeleton barrel for sure. Honestly a sort of splash tower would’ve probably worked better
@@keyton1928 i do agree some sort of stat buff is needed, but again, splash damage would make it broken because now it counters tanks, deals more dps, and does splash damage. the princess tower does well overall, but does low damage. however, it can take care of groups of troops better because of its rapid fire, but has more trouble dealing with tanks. the cannoneer is the opposite. deals with tanks well, has trouble with small troops. i think the problem happens where supercell assumed that everyone just spams tanks, so they gave it an hp nerf bc it does good against tanks. however, not everyone spams heavy cards, so the opposite of what they assumed needs to happen. also, one shotting skelly barrel would be a bit much. remember, this isn't supposed to be your defense, like your princess tower, its supposed to help your defense. if it one shots skelly barrel, skelly barrel would become useless as you can play whatever counter you had to it right away instead of waiting for it to pop on your tower, with almost zero risk of taking any damage. and it would also mean it pops at the bridge, so just play like a fire spirit or valk (which most people will be running anyway because it synergizes with the tower) and boom skelly barrel countered for as low as 1 elixir?
@@Chimpin_ you cant make this card have splash. I meant a completely different concept. And you can already counter skelly barrel with every spirit in the game. If you play your spirit behind your tower as the barrel pops it full counters for 1 elixer with the princess tower version.
@@keyton1928 first, you take pop damage with regular tower. with new tower you take no damage. plus, you have to know the placement (which i didn't know, thanks for that)

they made the tesla like that because of the new evo tesla which has an effect when it comes out
It needs a hp buff and a little splash to its attack would be cool
Imagine king troops though, being a champion and instead of cooldown abilities youll get a specific amount of time you can use in a game. Cuz if rarities exist champions should too

Will need to run more small spells and speedy/splash troops. This can bring back witch or gobline hut into the meta; also rage on the tower might be pretty cool

Canoneer is going to push bait decks and swarm decks to be popular which isn’t bad but it’s annoying when bait already takes so little skill I think baits need a need a nerf when it comes out
Seems like it needs a really small amount of splash or to be tankier to help with swarms. A pretty strange addition to be sure.
In my opnion it should have more health them a princess tower, so swarns dont destroy it fastly, like, spear goblins take 300 health of the canooner, the damage is good though, maybe reduce the time just a litlle, so you dont get destroyed by everthing that needs 3 hits to die
I use it in a mortar deck, I roll a majority of my games unless they use a ton of swarm

Ik Everyone thinks its a horrible tower troop but considering the majority of decks have e giant , golem , gb I think this tower troop could be meta but we would have to arrange more splash cards to support like arrows and poison I feel its going to be pretty good this is just my opnion , JUST A OPNION nothing personal but if we think about it their gonna pry buff it because everyone thinks its a bad card but I think it will be a decent tower troop with the necessary support cards. i hope everyone has a great day, (:
I feel like up the attack speed to 3x slower than princess tower instead of 4x and it’ll be good
I feel like the royal hogs deck might do better with the Cannoneer? you do have a faster cycle and the three spells to counter swarms.

Maybe give it splash damage and reduce its damage significantly? Another possibility for this tower troop is, decrease damage but increases speed to make up for the loss of dmg? Idk
One good change could be, if the cannoneer always would focus the troop with most hp

Before you would play the hog behind the ice spirit and in front of the skeletons, with this tower troop it looks like the opposite is better
Tombstone is now offensive building, try it!
Usually you never think of your tower when building a deck since the only tower was princess tower
But now if this is properly balanced every deck should in theory have to adapt somewhat to this change, and I feel like 2.4 or lower decks might be viable with cannon, since u might no longer need a big troop to deal with big troops like mega knight
Or it could flop and change nothing lol
Seems like they could just make it the same as the princess tower, only make it splash damage.
I could see tornado being useful since the king tower activation is key when using the cannoneer (swarm troops)

Splashyard canonneer is gonna be pretty good
I think it’s good but you have to build you deck completely different. It doesn’t work well when built with decks that have been made and used with the princess tower
Imagine for cannoneer a button on the bottom of the screen like champions have, but the button lets you toggle between standard cannon ball or grapeshot. The grapeshot would function just like the Hunter’s shotgun

Lol, it ended up being terrible. However, the next TT will probably be better, the lady with knives. She will probably screw swarm troops contrary of this one.
They should buff it to do area damage to also counter a bait more because is gonna be too good against the tower troop that is actually not gonna be valuable to play it because the meta is gonna be saturated with bait decks

Maybe making it attack every 1.6 instead of every 2.4 seconds and a 33% dmg nerf could work, so its still slower but not so slow and wastes dmg on weak units

I think they should let it sit in the meta for a bit before they buff it. Maybe there are some decks that are crazy with it
Full spell meta gonna be a thing perhaps .. with constant spells to defend swarm and these towers to defend tanks/mini tanks

Eh im not a fan of the new tower troop. I guess it would be op had it do splash damage. But because it doesnt and the hitspeed isnt great its gna be tough making it work especially since these cards are designed according to the princess towers

The idea behind the tower troops is cool but terrible in execution. Every card is based and created around the regular princess towers so this is gonna be stupid. It really changes the entire game and not in a good way, it just destroys heavy cards so spam cards are gonna rock, this sucks. I do wanna try my monk against the canons though
