The levels that Kano has brought to the scene. Understand, he performed at Royal Albert Hall with a live orchestra and brass band for one of his tours.....MAD!
Made in the Manor is such a great album and his follow up to that, Hoodies all summer, is sick too. Kano’s delivery is so good. You did pretty well to catch a lot of his lyrics. I find Americans don’t catch as many of his as say Wretch who tends to use more universally recognisable references. Kano is very east London. The goat imo
Can't say more that the others haven't said already. Amazing reaction as always and I'd recommend "This is England" from the Album. It's like an anthem of sort over there. And keep up the good work 👏
Shuffling on Mandy (Molly/MDMA) Pukka Pies( huge pie brand) same as Peters (sausage rolls etc) I grew up on US mainly Nas so Kano references were over my head for years..more I listened to UK the more the dots connected. Kano is elite man, always expect doubles/triples
When Kano rapped "one million, i spray bars with no fragrance" might also be a reference to the perfume called 1 million, so that's a cheeky little double entendre there he just gifts us. Too smooth with it
The "I spray bars with no fragrance" is preceded by "one million", which is the name of Paco Rabanne's aftershave/cologne, which comes in a bottle that looks like a gold bar. Such a sneaky little bar, but so so good. Effortless and cool like you said, great reaction!
His tracks ' This is England ' , 'Teardrops' and ' a huntin we will go ( feat Ghetto - now known as Ghetts) . The last I believe is audio only... All amazing but all very different styles
You should just do an album review start to finish maybe 1 or 2 songs or even 3 per reaction see what you think you have already done 3 wheels up off it
“Everybody shuffling on Mandy” (MDMA, it’s the ingredient to ecstasy)..i’m nah cous(in) (sounds like Narcos) and chilling with some brandy. Basically saying he ain’t getting messed up on drugs with the rest he’s going to sit back and chill with his brandy like a boss
A Stanley is a knife not Stan Lee, Peter piper picked a pepper is a tongue twister not potter paper, overthinking to much I think 😂 great reactions though guys
Been catching up with all you man’s uk reactions, you are class! You get a lot of references and meaning behind stuff compared to a lot of reactors, big love from the UK ❤
Guys- u are only just scratching the surface. I love how these americas appreciate Kano and other uk artists, but I wish sometimes I was their to explain the depth of some of the bars they miss.
Stanley as in a stanley knife...he had a whole part where he used names as puns..chilling with brandy as in the drink but also brandy the singer refrancing her lyrics
Also when he said I can’t run out of bars like chippy said. Reference for another young GOAT, Chip! Before it was chipmunk. Chip always said chip can’t run out of bars!
Honestly, Kano is like a fine wine and has just got better and better with age. For that reason, I believe his most recent album - Hoodies All Summer - is his finest, and his most accessible too for newer listeners - particularly those from outside UK. Kano uses a lot of UK slang and references in his bars, but there is a perfect balance in HAS, whereas Made in the Manor might not be as easy a listen for some for that reason (although the album is also fantastic). Musically and artistically, Kano reached new heights with HAS, and coming from him - an artist already at the top of the game - this was incredibly exciting to see. I can’t wait to see and hear what he’ll do next.
Can we just big up Charlie at the end there, he had such respect that Kano did it in one take he had to tell everyone even if it meant potentially harming the platform if it got out that it wasn't all one take like how its edited to look like.
Think we can all agree that US popular rap has gone down a route we as pure rap fans don't like but to say its dead is dumb, clearly whoever said this is not doing their research. Glad you guys reacting to the British scene. Great reaction!!! Sorry your heads almost exploded. Wretch32 part 5 came after this. Made in the Manor is a great album! He later came out with Hoodies All Summer which again elevated what a Grime song could be. If you do Class of Deja make sure it's Maida Vale live. It features Ghetts and D Double E. Kano and Ghetts used to be in the same grime crew for a bit so they have great synergy. Fyi..Charlie reloads a 2012 fitb for Devlin (member of The Movement)..but you may want to check out a 2004 hip-hop classic Klashnecoff (Terra Firma Crew) - Murda (lyric video), to appreciate the 2nd beat.
8:56 he's talking about pukka pies, it's a brand of meat pie in the UK. The whole section is referring to how everyone chasing the girl and he's chilling with a brandy keeping it humble
People won’t really understand Kano’s lyrics unless they are over 40, come from London ideally East) and understand Jamaica culture. His word play is amazing as it ranges from references to Jamaican food, street fighter video game, sizzla and Mr Leng, football and many many more….
Na I think in there 30's I'm in my 30's and grew up on kano and I think our country is so multi cultural that we understand what he means and the Jamaican food bars I'm also from many but we grew up on grime so obviously understand all the slang from down there
@@jaymufc8906yeah I agree mate. I’m 36, from the north east and I grew up listening to Kano too. Since he was with N.A.S.T.Y crew and a mate gave me a tape of a pirate set. I picked up the slang through listening to music and watching tv and movies. No matter where the music or whatever is from, if there’s something I don’t understand, I would look it up. I do feel like kids can’t really be arsed to do that nowadays like. So I do see where @jedikidgamer178 is coming from. But I don’t think Kano would be as big if his only audience was from east London. Tbh, I think, even you don’t fully understand lyrics in music. Doesn’t mean you can’t feel it. It’s like reading Shakespeare.
I think you’re wrong. The references are all relatable if you’ve lived a lifestyle. You can meet one man from the other end of the country and have more in common than the guy that lives next door.
Kano, sym live Kano, class of deja Kano, teardrops (rated awards) Kano, 3 wheel ups Kano, any track essentially 😂 . Man makes great albums every few years.
"Jumping on my Linford, but there's still some inches left"👀😱🔥🔥😂😂 Linford Christie was a British record breaking 100m sprinter who was about in the 90s. Amazing sprinter but was soon more well known for what was in his shorts after the headline "Linfords lunchbox"......👀👊🏻 Loved seeing how Hyped you guys rightfully got for this!😂👌🏼👊🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥💜
Kano is my favourite artist of all time, similar age to me and i've just followed him since day 1. His album Hoodies All Summer is just incredible, an album that shows his growth as an artist and the production is perfect.
What I love about Kano is that he doesn’t make music that he’ll think will be popular, he makes the music he wants to make, he does his own thing. Real guy Yano
"sing along I Titched it" is a reference to Sing Along by Crazy Titch, who is an OG Grime MC. You should check him out for sure, especially his beef tracks on other artists - in particular Dizzee Rascal; their back and forth beef was great.
When he said "You can cut the tension with a Stanley" he means a Stanley blade it's like a little tool with a blade You use to cut things with. Then when he said "everyone's shuffling on Mandy" he is talking about the drug MDMA we call it Mandy and it's like a drug people take when they go clubbing hence the term shuffling which is dancing.
Kano - check out some tracks first - "Class of Deja - live at Maida Vale", "This Is England" and "Garage Skank", then check out his recent albums 'Made In The Manor' and 'Hoodies All Summer'.
When you were talking about the skill in changing flows, cadence etc. it reminded me that you still haven't done the Lowkey FITB (1 & 2) and Return of Lowkey. On a technical level this guy is incredible, in his own league really. Also has great lyrics.
Couple Kano Recommendations from the album they're talking about (Made in the Manor) are T-shirt weather in the manor and My Sound. Also recommend P's & Q's but that's back from around 2004
Crazy thing is the beat is so simple and repetitive but the amount of different flows and styles he did on this is insane. True Grime Mc`s had to spit off top on any beat they are given and it really is showcased here. Also funny how he did this because Wretch,Ghetts and Giggs joked about him not having done a FITB at a dinner so he casually dropped this like its nothing .Great Reaction as always guys. Some tunes to check out by Kano , Pan Fried, Can`t hold we down , Teardrops (grm daily performance) First two are feel good tunes the last one is about police brutality in the UK.
Kano is the UK GOAT. He did a spot on The Big Narstie Show and literally stole the show. Absolute fire. It's only a short video but I keep going back to it.
Rip 🙏 paco robanne - One million ( 1 million bar aftershave) i spray bars with no fragrance. The Paco robanne bar Went over your heads guys. Love from the uk 🇬🇧 👊🏼

Mandy is slang for MDMA. Stanley is a brand of craft knife that gang members use for slashing people. Andi Peters was a children's TV presenter back in the day.
Grew up eatin festivals ..... now im eatin at festivals... In Jamaican cuisine : festivals are a kind of deep-fried bread, despite its slightly sweet taste, is served as a side dish to dishes such as fried fish, escovitch fish or jerk chicken. So saying, I grew up as a home style boy, Jamaican background..... now people paying me to be on stage at festivals, and feeding me too,
So he said, you cut the tension with Stanley (multi tool knife used by tradesmen, it slides up the back in) normal UK slang. Everyone shuffling on Mandy (MDMA is a drug used in clubs) Pukka pie is a brand of pie or possibly you would say pot pie.
He stepped in at the last minute to fill a cancellation and whipped that verse up in next to no time
That's insane
I didn’t know that. Even better!
I didn’t know that still that’s crazy
Off the dome 😎
Not a chance 😂😂😂 kano definitely had this ready when he stepped in for the cancellation. He's good but he ain't "whip this up in 5 mins" good
A "Stanley" is a UK brand of knife with a short retractable blade used for precision craft work. And occasionally slashing people in gang fights.
US call it a box cutter
