On the subject of getting the yellow wires thru the rubber grommet tube; what i did was loosen both ends of the tube from the car body. Spray wd40 down the rubber tube to make it slippery inside. Then using copper wire (from the earth of a 3 core cable) made a tiny u-hook, enough to hook onto the yellow cable end. Pass the copper hook down thru the rubber tube and hook the cable back up. A little bit fiddly but it only took a minute to do each side. I made sure to use plenty of cable ties and duct tape to stop any potential cable buzzing/rattles. The rest was easy...although I did break a couple of plastic trim fixings when pulling it apart.
@@BriGuy503Overall, I love them. The larger lights could have better fitment. There's some gaps on the top that I'll need to fill in with something. Those crescent shaped trim pieces that attach to the hatch lights don't fit that great either. All that said, buy them again. The zip tie trick was clutch. I wrapped some duct tape around those pieces so it would slide a little easier thru the wires.
Hello my friend Nice job! I installed vland rearlights too but the two from outside do not work 🤬🤬 only 2/4 on running lights but 4 work while braking,do you have solutions pls? Thxxxxxx😅😅
For the wiring? No. Fit perfect. Or do you mean a spacer? I've heard of people running a spacer on the sensor so that it didn't throw a code. I had mine tuned so it doesn't throw the code any more
I really want get VLANDs, but man…. it was such a pain in the ass to run the rear dashcam cable thru that boot in the trunk that I don’t want to go thru that again lol, is there any alternative that is just plug and play?
Seem to have a fault with mine, on initial start up everything works fine but then the driver side light fails all together after a while. Any ideas or advice?
Only 1 of them worked. They are wired up for the euro gti. You have to rewire one of the reverse lights. I havent done it though. Pretty sure there is a video somewhere on UA-cam about it. I saw it once before
@@BriGuy503 thanks mate, installed mine today, and was wondering if I had gone wrong somewhere haha. If you happen to find the video could you let me know? Thanks a bunch for the reply

Ya the fitment on mine wasn't perfect but still good enough to not really care.

such a sweet car man, love the mods you've done. do you plan on lowering it?
Thanks! Ya I've got wheels on the way and once they show up I'll lower it a couple inches
Nice video dude! Lights look great. Thinking of getting these for mine in the red smoked (which I think these are) (Candy White body colour).
Thanks! They have been great for me.
Why are my reverse light and rear fogs swapped?? Pls help
Love the energy! Wicked mk6 too!
Thank you!
Installed the smoked ones on Friday 2013 2 door same color as yours
Nice!
awesome tail lights... looking good
Thanks dood
If those tail lights have a ‘FOG’ light when you put the car into reverse, (inner left) switch the BROWN and WHITE wires to get a reverse light.
So you have 2 reverse lights?
@@mr.pyronl122 YES
Do you need to code these after install? For dynamic indicators to work

If its both the inside lights I'd check and make sure the wiring is correct.
I have the same problem with mine, no clue what the issue could be, some one pls tell me why
@@Dailydoseofcontent12 same here
Hey after they were installed were there any light codes on the dash?
No I didn't get any lights or codes
hi man nice videos, (y) i brought and install these lights but my both inner running lights doenst work, any tips, thanks
Maybe double check the wiring? I'm not sure, that's odd that both aren't working.
Awesome gti is that color blue graphite?
Thanks. It's carbon steel gray metallic
@@BriGuy503 cool it's an awesome color
@@Theferrariguy Thanks. It's a bit misleading because it's so dirty lol It needs a wash
The word you were looking for was sequential
Yea lol I couldn't think of it at the time haha
cool
@BriGuy503 Why in the Amazon page said is not for gti??? Any idea? Or it's fully compatible? Thanks!!!
Hey when you did your down pipe or exhaust did you have to purchase any extenders for the 02 sensors? i got a 02 code

Just got these for my TDI today. What was the total time for the install? Thx
I'd think 3-4hrs unless you're really good at this stuff
@@BriGuy503 damn. Glad I asked. Thanks for the video

Not that I know of. I think the battle of running the wires is worth it. A couple cuss words and some sweat and you'll be done before you know it haha
@@BriGuy503 😂😂😂 okay I will accept the challenge haha

Weird. Check the connectors and make sure they aren't loose?
Why does the black box with the m3 strips gets hot? And is it dangerous?
It's a resistor pack so it will generate heat. No it isn't dangerous
Did you get any errors on the dash??
No errors
I did also
I got a rear left turn signal warning on my dash any idea what it can be
Weird. Maybe a crossed wire? Not sure exactly, sorry
Everything works fine just the left turn signal the arrow on the dash flashes fast but outside is normal
