    Awesome videos. If I might be respectfully critical: I might like to buy the related books but have found that the websites are not geared towards selling books. Just sending an email about wanting a book did not create results to that end.

    Theoretically, you could have an additive system with say, 44,100 harmonics, and so you could achieve any sound in nature. But, that wouldn't be feasible at all. Who has time to program this many harmonics. Anyway, to me personally, sound is just volumes over time. Timbre is simply many different frequencies, and frequency is nothing else like pulsation of volume over time. Proof, CD samples only volume over time, and we can reproduce any sound in nature. But, how to control it...
