1. Don't covet possessions 2. Guard your tongues (no swearing, no gossip, be kind with your words) 3. Dress modestly (no yoga pants in public. What are you bringing attention to?) 4. Don’t overspend 5. Don’t neglect your Discipleship
Ah I concur! I’m quite a Zealot so I find most of my foul language comes in when my LORD is blasphemed openly by others. Then my tongue becomes sharp as a double edged sword. I ask the Holy Spirit to immediately convict me-as sometimes my speech is so quick, I say it before the thought has even fully formed in my mind. We are not alone sisters, let the LORD bind our tongues for his GLORY! Amen and Shalom to all! 🙏✝️❤️

I went to a women’s Christian conferences that made you feel you needed the latest book, cd, etc, etc to be a part of the “sisterhood”. It just didn’t sit right with me at the time and I didn’t buy into it. So we need to be careful even with things that have a “Christian” label.
I have never felt compelled to purchase a book, a video, a tee shirt at a women’s conference . Some women enjoy those things, I don’t. I’m fine with speakers selling their books . Why should they not? Billy Graham sold his, Charles Stanley sold his.
@@sharondoan1447please research Billy Graham and other major Christian authors. Billy Graham did not write most of his books, but had a ghost writer. One of which was a closet homosexual Mel White. So promoting a book as your own, while deceiving the public is wrong.
@@sharondoan1447 it wasn’t the books etc that I felt uncomfortable with but rather the feeling I got that “I needed to be in the sisterhood or I might miss out on something”. I appreciated and enjoyed the messages to be honest and did buy the book of one of the speakers. I never did go again and the mega church that ran the conferences has been involved in very publicised scandals so the conferences don’t run anymore. Perhaps that speaks for itself and I don’t rejoice in that but feel deeply saddened as it turns people away from God, for whom the whole message is supposed to be about.
@@exodusmass4575 And you can prove your claim? I have no reason to credit you claim as truth. Do you have similar claims to make about other Christian authors or is Billy Graham the only target ?
I totally get that. I think she's not talking about leggings worn in a modest way. I wore leggings a LOT during pregnancy during every day life. I was a bit uncomfortable with it at times because of it being immodest, but most of them were cheap/free and comfortable. Next pregnancy (God-willing) I might invest in some good pregnancy pants.
I never left the house in yoga pants (unless actually going to workout or to yoga) prior to pregnancy. But unfortunately I've gotten into a rut. Running out of the house, leggings, extra long tee/sweatshirt/ sweater and out the door.
@@mindyd1985 I totally understand. Please don't feel like you're morally wrong. But if you're more in a "rut" because you don't like wearing yoga pants, or feel like you have nothing nice or that you like to wear, then I get that too. I feel like SO many women are in "clothing ruts" after having babies. Doing a capsule wardrobe intentionally was so helpful for me. I could pick out a "uniform" to wear to work or things for home, and in general not worry about my wardrobe for the next few months. Last year I talked with a friend about it when she told me she felt like she only had 2-3 pairs of pants she wore. You aren't alone
I had gone along with the idea that yoga was just a form of relaxation and exercise, then developed back aches, sought the LordJesus he showed me I had to repent and them only then was I sent free from pain,a sister I was praying with saw a demonic spirit leave thanks to Jesus, I have never gone back
I thought to myself, ‘I need to stop wearing yoga pants outside of the home,’ and then you brought it up! The Lord double confirming that one! Going to be a big change for me on that one!!
It's important to note that it's not the yoga pants that are the problem, it's what the yoga pants reveal. I've seen women look incredibly modest in yoga pants when they have a 3/4 length cardigan overtop. I've ALSO seen women in maxi dresses that were SO immodest. In one case, the dress was not tight or see-through, but, she had an ample "caboose", so as she moved, I could see everything jiggle. This was in church. I might be quite conservative in this, but I think we need to go back to cotton slips under our summer dresses.
I also had this conviction a few months back.. I decided if o was going to wear them(I like them because I find them more comfortable then jeans any day) I must only were them with a long loose fitting shirt so that my butt is covered and my shape isn’t complete standing out. Or I’ll use a loose t or something that might not be super long but I’ll wear a cardigan to cover more.
It's true because we shouldn't be blaming other people of how they perceive US based on how we dress. If you're dressing half naked for the world to see and God forbid even the kids then it's just basically saying that we don't have any self-respect, and that they need constant validation even if it's the wrong type to feel good. I mean I don't want to be dressed up like the 1800s but at least cover up and not wearing something that is way too form-fitting.
I am always so surprised by how cussing is so contagious! If I am around co-workers using swear words, I'll find myself saying that word before the end of the day and didnt even intend to, it just came out my mouth. When I am around people who dont cuss either do I. I'd like to say watch out who you hang with but we cant always avoid the world. Please pray for me!
I'm so thankful I have found this channel. I feel like a weight is lifted off my shoulders. I feel this way about many of the things you said (ex. yoga pants without long jackets/shirts, not watching offending shows that have foul talk, etc.). Other Christians and people around me think I'm crazy. My H even thinks I'm going overboard. It is hard and stressful for me because I feel like I'm alone. But after seeing this, I'm feel so excited to learn more and have others perspectives about this in a biblical context. The Word is my guiding light. I want to respect Jesus. I'm certainly not perfect at all and need lots of help. This is such a breath of fresh air. I don't feel crazy anymore. I think this is exactly what the Bible teaches, but the modern church is just too easy on it. Thanks!
You are not crazy and you are not alone!! I feel the same way sometimes. Actually, many times. I have a burden to live my life in the world, not of the world. "Would I do/say/watch/listen to/etc. this if Jesus was sitting here with me?" He is my standard.
@@weezy516 Thanks for the support. I really appreciate that feedback. Also, great question .. what would I do if Jesus were sitting here with me? That's great. Thank you. I'm with you girl!!
As a new Christian - former new-age witch - I am so grateful for your channel. Your biblically sound advice and guidance is so helpful 💚 thank you for making these videos!
Every time I listen to you it brings more peace to me about my mentality and that I’m doing something right when others think I’m weird or crazy because I’m not “cool” with my hair and clothes and the vehicle I drive. Thank you!
I don't have a Stanley cup, but I don't think it's a negative thing if someone has one. Especially when they use it all the time and it's helpful to them. Everyone needs to be drinking water ☺️ I just want to be sure we aren't judging those who have these things, but instead look at their hearts and help them if they are struggling with covetousness.
I was just praying the other day I need to be closer to God, and the answer was to die to myself and take up my cross daily. This video just confirmed it. Thank you

Discipleship! Yes, that is definately where I am lacking and finding that it is lacking all around me. Even in my church. No real fellowship with each other unless you are in a particular group of folks. I am not finding good friends, I am not being a disciple at all, and not much gathering with others. I feel very isolated. This was a great video for me today.
Amen. I also am finding it hard to find other believers willing to talk and pray about these things. I am praying for Holy Spirit to lead me Gods Kingdom kinship.
Wow. The Lord has spoken to me very recently on probably all 5 topics and He just used you to confirm that in fact yes it was Him. Thank you. May God continually bless you.
Excellent message Heidi. I think a lot of us needed to hear this. I want to change my spending and thinking habits. I know I'm not pleasing God right now.
I love that I have found the community you described in the 5th topic. I am surrounded by amazing women that help me in my walk and am so involved in my church now! I've come so far since I first found yall last year!
This is very much a God miracle moment, i have only today come across this channel an answer to my prayer. I prayed something like this Lord help me to be the wife and the daughter you created me to be.
Thank you for openly speaking on these topics. It is so easy to get carried away on many of these things as we live here on earth. It is good to pause and remember what the Bible says and what God calls us to.
So glad you brought these 5 things up. I’m a minimalist, and find it so freeing to not have too many possessions. You are so right! Words are powerful, so we have to be careful of what comes out of our mouths. The yoga pants comments made me lol. If you are going to wear yoga pants, at least wear a long shirt to cover up, right!
Women upset over yoga pants and I am just over here like, she came for my pumpkins! :) Kidding of course. Thank you Heidi for saying what so many think. Your channel is a blessing!
I am so happy that I fell upon your videos. This is the second one I have seen and I have subscribed because I dearly LOVE the truth you speak! Even though I know these things and agree wholeheartedly, I am very blessed to hear them spoken out loud. I look back on my years of being a Christian and see how God has been molding me and teaching me every step of the way. I am a senior now and still have areas to improve on....even ones I am not aware of yet, but God is merciful to me as he shows me areas he wants to mold in me. Staying in his Word everyday has been the sandpaper to my rough edges. Thank you for you. xxx God bless you.
Lol! I thought you were talking about hockey trophies! I guess I'm out of the cool loop! Homeschooling your kids is a good way to avoid the newest trends!
Thank you for laying it all out.. i needed this and im sure many are going to feel the same.. God bless you and everyone who comes arcoss this comment..❤
Yes…Consumerism can be a problem, with some. Me included on occasion. 😜 I think that’s an area that needs to be constantly addressed as a Christian reminder, not to go down that path. Thank you for your Godly inspirations!!! ✝️🙏🕊️💜✝️
Thank you, Heidi for sharing this. I have been on a health journey and have lost a significant amount of weight (I still have a ways to go. I want to honor God in all areas of my life and this has been a hard trek. I struggle with the shopping bug with the excuse that I need to replace this or that. I would love for you to expound on being good stewardship on how to be frugal and wise even in our wardrobes. Honestly, I would love a series on all the points you touched on!
I came across your channel "by accident". God bless you for the content you put here. You've told me a few hard truths so far, but it was as if I heard the Father say, "Listen to her, child." Thank you for the God-centred, Word focused, healthy advice and the loving way in which you deliver it.
Ouch, ouch and ouch...Thank you for these suggests...God is convicting me now...But in a good good way...Thank you for teaching us....Thank you God, Thank you Jesus! ✝️🙏🙌
Thank you so much for sharing so much of yourself to help Christian women. God bless you. I would like to dress better as a modest Christian woman but I don't know what to wear. What styles in your opinion would be in this category? I know you talked about yoga pants, "I'm guilty", but I just really like the ease of movement and comfortability. I never really thought about them the way you described. You have a valid point.
Thats true :) im wearing especially summertime sport/jogging pants maybe someone sees them as yoga pants. i tried to be very carefull when bought those, there were no else available at that time when bought those and dont really want spend much time to buy clothes, and then i try to cover with long shirts my waterline or with skirt :) i even try to cover my front with scarf almost always :) because dont really want to be any temptation to anyone. but how we dress can be a issue of how much money do we have to spend clothes, so i try to avoid judge people how they dress and try to focus more whats inside rather then outside :) Bless you! :)
This was a really great and edifying video. I love how you are able to speak truth while maintaining a good level of grace and understanding. Your videos always speak to me and bring conviction and encouragement! I definitely need to work on my spending habits and how I speak. Thank youuu!! ❤ definitely agree with discipleship. It is not always easily accessible in the modern churches today.
I loved this!! And subscribed! I'm definitely guilty of many of these, as im trying to become a more biblical wife and mother. I've also only been listening to Christian music now, thanks to discovering Ann Wilson. I have definitely been wanting a new, more feminine wordrobe of cotton and linen, to the point that im always online shopping, instead of being patient and thrift shopping, or learning to sew my own clothes, im in too much of a hurry to look a certain way. I'm a minimalist, but I still have been coveting certain things, and now im seeing that I need to be content and patient. I am able to dress modestly with what i have now. It may not look perfect, but I'm grateful for the clothes and life I have. ❤
No yoga, no yoga pants, no make up, no nail polish, no tight clothing to show figure , no hair dyes and no wigs. This is my understanding from what I read Bible. I then fasted and what I was told by the lord was no shaving as well. I told him I would have a hard time with that one and he said “ I didn’t make u that way.”
Wow...I need to work on a few things. Thank you so much...this is amazing. We moved and being in new territory has shown how I also need to go to a new church and build friendships. For me and to help my kiddo.
My my has this video helped me. Thank you so much for your words and the encouragement. I have been praying ans asking God. This is the extra push i needed to act not just talk about it. ❤
I'm so glad I found this video. I'm recuperating from a total hip replacement surgery I had last Wednesday and verbally coaching my young daughter in getting ready for school. I'm glad I am following the five things you have mentioned on this video. Number 5, I utilise prayer when I'm in the car on my busy runs as a mum. I have the Bible on audible yet I do find it difficult to locate a particular passage I want to reflect on, yet it's a way of utilising the WORD and keeping my deal with our great and good Father God. I do not have a congregation or a group of Christian women and haven't for over 2 decades since I have been living in an isolated area in company that hasn't been the most positive and uplifting. Sometimes even the negative Christian groups are the ones you are most definitely allowed to move away from. The last I went to church I left feeling very pulled down and not uplifted by someone who was extremely bossy and judgemental. I have not returned. I love using my God given skills to make my own clothes and to make pretty but practical outfits that are modest yet current.
Absolutely, it’s easy for us to make many assumptions. We must always take those snap judgements and put them through a biblical lens. 📖 Maybe this will help, What Is Worldly? Nose Piercings? Dyed Hair? Makeup? ☕️ Chatty Coffee Date ua-cam.com/video/gwExzABuWPc/v-deo.html
@@HeavenlyMindedHome I appreciate the comment. I’ll study what ya sent. I have done my own and come to the conclusion to not poke needless holes in body as it is the spirits temple and supposed to be the temple for the Holy Spirit as well. I’ll still study what you sent. God doesn’t love anyone any less if someone has piercings/tattoos/etc
@@HeavenlyMindedHome yes I suppose his love is given freely. My understanding is he paid an amazing price for our unworthy selves. I’d also say to for US to feel More of his love here in this life we need to be obedient to him.
Absolutely- dying to self and living for the Lord should be the basis of every ounce of our life. What we do our best to do each and day and the basis of what our ministry here does as well! 📖🙌🏼
I started to dress more modestly a couple of years ago, and I tell you it is FREEDOM! For me, this means wearing a lot of skirts and dresses below the knee and with high necklines. And also wearing a skort or board shorts and a sun shirt for swimwear. Its so simple, i dont have to worry about so much sunscreen, and I feel i am honoring my Lord and the men around me.
Before and after becoming a Christian, I have always been hard/harsh in all sorts of ways, it comes so naturally to me, but I would like a change.... Please pray for me. Thank you.
Good morning, thank u for this message ❤ the world wants us to stay focused on the worldly things that take us away from our Father. I’m relatively new with my walk in Christ and it’s fruitful to hear your words of wisdom, I like how you framed up spending money like a drunkard it gave me a visual lol… that was one of the issues I felt the Holy Spirit tugging at my heart ♥️ to resolve and while I have tightened up my spending, some of my Christian friends might not be so pleased… I’m making egg salad sandwiches and cut veggies and fruits for our prayer group now and not costly baked goods… while they may call it penny pinching it makes me feel like I’m doing the right thing by not spend spend spending. Thank you again for your message and time. May our Father bless you and your family for your fruitful efforts in His kingdom
A couple of these points gave me outside and made me really evaluate some things in my life. I appreciate that you say what is true and Biblical even if unpopular. Thank you!
Oh hon- that's too kind! ALL glory to God- may he be seen through me- a broken, wretched vessel. 🥰 Every day we can grow one day stronger in our walk. XOXO
Hi! Heidi. I am Hyewon from S. Korea. I've been watching your videos for a few months, which keeps encouraging and comforting me in Christ. Moreover, God's message through you has helped me so a lot to start a more spiritually adventurous life which is amazing. My family plans to move to Israel ( Jerusalem) where my husband ( pastor in a local Presbyterian church ) will start his Master's program in theology quite soon. As preparing for this huge change and journey, I really want to be prepared and equipped in every way as a homemaker, homeschooling mom, and help-meet. I truly want to be mentored and encouraged directly and intimately through a reliable and mature mentor while being accompanied by a faithful and love-filled community. Do you have some advice for me to grow up as his disciple and daughter so that I can lead a fulfilling and successful life as his steward and disciple? I'm thinking of joining your HMH collectives as well. Do you think it fits me well?
So many of today’s points are issues with which I am struggling. I feel so blessed to have found your channel. I’m very new to it. I know the Lord is refining me. I agree with you totally. Your words are rooted in scripture so I know they are correct. Thank you for taking your time to point out these struggles. It is a slow process to change lifelong habits, but I believe the Lord is helping me. He let me find you. Hearing hard truths is extremely sobering. Thank you!!! God bless you for being the Biblical woman you are.
This is so true and many don’t want to touch the topic. We’re not to dress to encourage men to lust/sin either. I found myself in yoga pants working outside, had a big hoodie on, I shed the hoodie, then ended up standing in line at Walmart. It then hit me, I felt so inappropriate as I could feel the men just looking at my bottom. Ladies she is right and please remember, when we’re at home with our husbands, this is when and where we can dress in a flirty, provocative way. Our husband is the only man that should see us like this. That brings me to my next point, dress like a “hussy” for your man sometimes (at home). Maybe in the yard doing work, maybe when no one else is home, dress cute and flirt. He will probably love it, if he knows it’s just for him. FYI keep something close by, in case unexpected guests pop in lol. We are to represent ourselves correct, when in doubt, ask God to guide you. If you have to question it, then it’s probably not acceptable. Trust me ladies, I’ve battled with this especially living in the south where summer is at least 5 months of over 90 degrees, but not in public! (Not anymore)
I struggle with managing finances well. It’s been kind of a struggle my whole life, particularly since growing up my dad didn’t spend lots of time with us, he bought us things. That’s something I want to break. And just a note, I agree about the yoga pants, but I do think there are ways to style them that are still modest. For a while that was all I had that fit after having babies, but what I do when wearing them is either wear a shirt that is long enough to cover my backside or if the shirt is not long enough put a long sweater over top or tie a flannel around my waist so that in any case my backside is not exposed. ❤
The Holy Spirt will definitely convict. Its also about how mature we are as Christians. What may convict us may not convict others...yet. I want to encourage us that we should be mindful that we are all a work in progress and something things take time to get used to. You are not less Christian because you may be struggling with some of the areas shes mentioned, but she is speaking some good points though.
AMEN to modesty! It's so very important. It's not loving to our spouses, other women, or their husbands to dress immodestly. The best mini sermon I heard on this said...our flesh is sin... and therefore ugly. Why would we want to show more sinful ugliness than necessary? It really hit home, and makes sense. Cover it up, and keep our clothes loose fitting, comfortable, and let the inner beauty shine!! ❤❤❤❤
I think my little sister would like your job. On Sunday after church during a heatwave in Australia, I sat in the car and hiked my long skirt up to my thighs to cool down in the air-con. She told me, "COVER YOUR LEGS!" When it was just us in the car. She said it was rude of me to make her look at "that." I'm still hurt by it, like she was my strict grandmother. She used to be my best friend, but since reading the puritans for a year, she's so *grave* and stuck-up on Christian topics. I have to watch what I say, because she'll have a go at me, if it "doesn't sound very spiritual." I don't even watch TV or movies anymore, they're so unclean, but nothing is clean enough for my sister. I miss her.
Mum explained to her that I was hurt, and at first she defended her behaviour, but when she couldn't say what sin I'd committed, she realised it was just something she doesn't like, so she came to me and apologised, which was so nice. She's trying so hard to be gracious that she can seem fake-nice a lot of the time, but at least she's trying. She went to our church's Bible study this week and just told me today how she asked what everyone is reading. Not one of them is reading a Christian book, which she was not gracious about. I think when we're new and learning, we're so eager for others to share our zeal. The disappointment of them not being as zealous must come off as being judgemental. I'm trying really hard to be gracious, as there was a time she was very anti-Christian, mocking us, so I'm very thankful she's saved.
Great message! Thank you! More videos on modesty is so needed, and on the root causes of seeking attention in immodest ways - which in my opinion is rooted in very low self esteem.
Ok I don't get the yoga pant thing but I do not own any so I have no clue. But I do own and wear leggings. I dress for comfort and as far as I know dress modestly. I am married I don't dress for random people. Anyways thank you for this video. I was a good watch and good reminders so appreciated.
Come join us- we did a whole series really digging into this and why it's so important for us as Christians. Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/WzR5xmLUVFk/v-deo.html Here's the details: ua-cam.com/video/g7zHrknPeNg/v-deo.html XOXO
I love your message, but when I got sick and lost weight, yoga pants were all I had that fit me. I couldn’t wear my jeans. I lost most of my butt so I was definitely not wearing yoga pants for that😂 I think types of pants (that still covers everything) are the least of the issues Christian women face. Jeans or yoga pants, either way they can be tight. So unless you only wear dresses, I think yoga pants are okay!
I go to the gym a lot so yes I do run around in them a lot and I have wore them in church to pick my kids up from choir practice, BUT I COVER MY BUTT UP WITH LONG SHIRTS AND JACKETS. I never go out with my butt hanging out, nor do I wear them thinking oh people will look at my butt in these, because you can’t see my butt. So definitely wearing them for function not just to show my butt off. I think you need to be modest when wearing them and think about your intent.
I’ve always struggled not to feel bad about not "keeping up with the Joneses" which was not in our budget, but as I grew closer to the Lord,I’m free from those expectations of others. I know some ‘Christian friends’ that curse than they justify it by saying, Oh, "excuse my French",it makes me feel so convicted as I don’t say anything, I need to be more bold and say something with grace and love. Very valid points.
Oh my goodness, I was laughing at the Stanly cups. I don't any of their cups but when I saw they had pink ones I almost went but also I saw all the craziness for those cups, I changed my mind. I use leggings because I am comfortable in them and they have cute designs but also I wear long tops over them or mini flowy dresses to cover my areas. Consumerism got me and that has been a struggle and a prayer for a while. I am a crafter that likes to use all the pretty paper and laces. I also participate in crafty swaps with other fellow crafty UA-camrs, so when I buy it is to share with them as well. Tfs. God bless.
I think a lot of women wear yoga pants not show off assets but because we have fallen into the rut of being “comfortable “ and not feeling confidant, or justified to embrace our femininity . That can also take time and mentorship to get a better plan than Yoga pants going ….just something I recognized in myself
Workout pants for me happens bc of pure laziness. I dont see them as immodest at all but practical so i can have full range of motion to pick up my kids from the floor etc. when im NOT in workout pants, im dressing to be pretty. I teach physical fitness and i also workout and i dont often like wearing more than 1 outfit for the day, hence workout pants.
If the question here is what am I trying to draw attention to, the answer is rarely myself. I dress to be appropriate for the activities I'm involved in. I too taught fitness classes and was a personal trainer. I was a runner, and now I ice skate. Now as an adult runner, I looked for longer shorts, usually soccer shorts worked for me because - no booty shorts. And as a 51 year old woman returning to skating, I'm in fleece lined leggings and at least two layers on top, one of which lies below my butt. I like looser tops and hoodies anyway; on the ice big hoodies or fleeces are great. Unless I'm dressing for church, date night, or a special event, clothes for me are all about practical.
As someone who grew up very athletic and would only wear basketball shorts and tshirts, I wear yoga pants/leggings for pure comfort(especially after having kiddos) 🤣 I agree with you though going out and about in them. It is something I have been convicted about too. And no I didn’t like to hear that conviction but it is what it is. I still wear them to the gym with a oversized tshirt or hoodie or definitely around the house. However, I do truly want to find clothing that I can wear out and about that’s NOT leggings but also comfortable at the same time lol this video was amazing and you were spot on in everything you mentioned. Thanks for sharing!
Coming from a very strong Christian, yoga pants are the only things that I can find to fit me because I’m not exactly a really skinny person so I can’t wear certain things and for my dress size I can’t find those anywhere unless I want to spend a fortune on those and yoga pants only cost $10 so I think sometimes it’s a little bit deeper than what people put it as sometimes it all people can afford If you are a size, large, or above, you’re not gonna be able to find your clothing at a thrift store been there done that
There's nothing wrong with simply wearing yoga pants- I wear them under skirts every winter! The problem would be walking around in yoga pants that aren't covered with a skirt/dress/long sweater/top/etc.... The issue is modesty- and what we're putting out there. :)
Thrift stores usually! We've had no problem finding plus sizes, I have many friends in plus sizes too that shop near exclusively at thrift stores. I only have a few outfits- I use the same stuff over and over. Clearance racks are my go to whenever looking for something in a store. I keep it minimal-- but it's incredibly important as stewards of Christ and His ambassadors here on earth to be modest. 🥰
@@HeavenlyMindedHome I also wanna ask because I just noticed you’re a pastors wife so I’m sure you study a lot I’m only 3 months into my Christian journey, So I’m terrified to get pregnant right now due to health concerns , do you think it’s a sin for a married couple to use hands as a alternative for each other if the woman can’t handle pregnancy until she’s ok to risk?
1. Don't covet possessions
2. Guard your tongues (no swearing, no gossip, be kind with your words)
3. Dress modestly (no yoga pants in public. What are you bringing attention to?)

I totalmente agree with you
I wear yoga pants, but I always wear a very long shirt or sweater. I had a baby and my old jeans still don't fit😐
Same
I never left the house in yoga pants (unless actually going to workout or to yoga) prior to pregnancy.
Yeah I totally think it has everything to do with how they’re being worn.
As Christians, shouldn’t have anything to do with yoga.
I had gone along with the idea that yoga was just a form of relaxation and exercise, then developed back aches, sought the LordJesus he showed me I had to repent and them only then was I sent free from pain,a sister I was praying with saw a demonic spirit leave thanks to Jesus, I have never gone back
Many, many women have yoga pants that have never been worn for yoga. They bought them just as pants.
I thought to myself, ‘I need to stop wearing yoga pants outside of the home,’ and then you brought it up! The Lord double confirming that one! Going to be a big change for me on that one!!
Or wear long shirts or sweaters that go long enough to cover and go to mid thigh
Agree… I do not need to see your upper thighs and the Hoo-ha
I also had this conviction a few months back.. I decided if o was going to wear them(I like them because I find them more comfortable then jeans any day) I must only were them with a long loose fitting shirt so that my butt is covered and my shape isn’t complete standing out. Or I’ll use a loose t or something that might not be super long but I’ll wear a cardigan to cover more.
I wear them in fun runs. I have no issues wearing them outside.
Wow is all I could say because conviction fell hard on me !!!! I'm so happy to have found your channel. Thank you for telling it like it is !
WOW, finally a Christian woman who is not blaming men for Christian women being immodest. Thank you!
Yup! We are ultimately accountable to God as individuals and we're responsible for our own walk with Jesus.
These poor women are just trying to look beautiful and dressing the way they know how to.
They are innocent angels
😂😅😂😅
@@BrunoFreitasdePaivaBen-H-gl6dswe don’t talk about Bruno.🤨
From a man who is a man trying to follow Christ closely, thank you!
Men have these issues like brand name tools etc. I am not condemning if you need it. Seductively dressed women are a stumbling block.
Praying with you 😊
I'm so thankful I have found this channel.
Also, great question
.. what would I do if Jesus were sitting here with me? That's great. Thank you.
I'm with you girl!!
It's interesting that most women find about modesty - or Christianity in general - when they come to a certain age, when the beauty fade away
No you are not the only one. As a female I hold myself responsible to make sure that I’m not being a bad example to non believers or younger girls.
As a new Christian - former new-age witch - I am so grateful for your channel. Your biblically sound advice and guidance is so helpful 💚 thank you for making these videos!
Congratulations !
So glad the heart you found the truth!
Jesus loves you so much!
God bless you!🙌
I shop online way too much. I’m glad I stumbled upon this. I want to be closer to God.
I’m lucky to live in a crime-ridden city and to get packages regularly stolen from my doorstep. That stops me from ordering anything online 😅
Every time I listen to you it brings more peace to me about my mentality and that I’m doing something right when others think I’m weird or crazy because I’m not “cool” with my hair and clothes and the vehicle I drive. Thank you!
Big hugs! Xo
I’m glad someone finally said it about the Stanley cups. Everyone at my work has one and it’s ridiculous.
What’s a Stanley cup? I thought it was some sort of sports award.
I was just praying the other day I need to be closer to God, and the answer was to die to myself and take up my cross daily. This video just confirmed it. Thank you
Amen! 🙏🏼📖
FEEDING on the Word is transformative. Psalm 18.30 As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
Also, focussing on his names in scripture. Proverbs 18.10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower. The righteous runs into it and is safe. (Margin note = "set on high") (NASB: Lockman)
I struggle with money management and know it isn't Godly spending so flippantly. Thanks for this reminder. I need to pray for help on this.
Titus 2 charges us as women to disciple one another...especially seasoned believers to new/young believers. Love your channel. 🙏✝️☝️
You sure got me there!!!! I needed this wake up call...I pray for God's forgiveness and help in better managing coveting and poor money management.
Very convicting! Also helps me put words to how I feel about my granddaughters dress. “What are you binging attention to?”

All the points are excellent! Thank you especially for the modesty aspect 😊 In the world but not of it , so desperately needed.

I would appreciate individual videos on each this 5 topics.
Big hugs!!!!🤗 Praying for your recovery, too! 🙏🏼💕
Thank you!

I started to dress more modestly a couple of years ago, and I tell you it is FREEDOM! For me, this means wearing a lot of skirts and dresses below the knee and with high necklines. Hi! Heidi. I am Hyewon from S. Korea. I've been watching your videos for a few months, which keeps encouraging and comforting me in Christ. Moreover, God's message through you has helped me so a lot to start a more spiritually adventurous life which is amazing. 💖 this video Heidi I needed to hear this today. Thank you for the encouragement. I’d
Love a video on modesty 💖
I feel attacked and I don’t appreciate you calling me out Ma’am lol. This is the talking to I need but did not know I needed . Thank you 🙏
😂😂😂 Big hugs, always thankful when the Lord brings out conviction and gets my attention! 😘🥰
❤❤❤❤
I grew up to always wear a slip under a dress; have not worn dresses in years here in PNW. Do women still wear slips? I sure hope so!!!
The younger generation has told me that no one wears slips anymore!?!
I wear slips and proper undergarments always have. I’m in my early 60s now. Slips are necessary with dresses and skirts.
Another edifying video, and I love it! ❤
I miss her.
Sounds like legalism. So sorry I imagine you do miss the person she used to be.😢
Yeah sounds like she does a lot of judging too. (That’s a sin😂)
@@kathy2940is rebuking thong-bikini wearers legalism also?

I would like to have more information
I’ve always struggled not to feel bad about not "keeping up with the Joneses" which was not in our budget, but as I grew closer to the Lord,I’m free from those expectations of others.
I know some ‘Christian friends’ that curse than they justify it by saying, Oh, "excuse my French",it makes me feel so convicted as I don’t say anything, I need to be more bold and say something with grace and love. Very valid points.
Plus, it’s extremely insulting to the French. Them’s fightin’ words!
I was just praying for God to help me to be a better steward with my money
Ooohhhh.... you mean one of those mugs! I wasn't getting the hockey reference!
😂😂😂
I don't know how to tell if I am materialistic because all I want is beds and things for my house and a house and I was told I am
As someone who grew up very athletic and would only wear basketball shorts and tshirts, I wear yoga pants/leggings for pure comfort(especially after having kiddos) 🤣
I agree with you though going out and about in them.
So my question as a young christian woman is , if yoga pants are bad what do you recommend christian women to wear for sports ,or gym? ?
Coming from a very strong Christian, yoga pants are the only things that I can find to fit me because I’m not exactly a really skinny person so I can’t wear certain things and for my dress size I can’t find those anywhere unless I want to spend a fortune on those and yoga pants only cost $10 so I think sometimes it’s a little bit deeper than what people put it as sometimes it all people can afford
If you are a size, large, or above, you’re not gonna be able to find your clothing at a thrift store been there done that
There's nothing wrong with simply wearing yoga pants- I wear them under skirts every winter! The problem would be walking around in yoga pants that aren't covered with a skirt/dress/long sweater/top/etc.... The issue is modesty- and what we're putting out there. :)
@@HeavenlyMindedHome where do you find your clothes? I want to find skirts but again really hard to with my size
@@HeavenlyMindedHome I also wanna ask because I just noticed you’re a pastors wife so I’m sure you study a lot I’m only 3 months into my Christian journey,
So I’m terrified to get pregnant right now due to health concerns , do you think it’s a sin for a married couple to use hands as a alternative for each other if the woman can’t handle pregnancy until she’s ok to risk?
