Nice review. I had the same issue at another hotel with booking one room and being downgraded to another type of room. Looks like a nice hotel for the money, but not sure I would want to stay there.
We are planning on washing our clothes while we stay after this hotel. Did you use the washer/dryer by chance? You mentioned it’s 300yen for washing every 15mins. How does that work?
Hi! Yes, I did use the washer and dryer at Chapter Kyoto. Sorry if my video description of the washer and dryer was confusing. From what I remember, you pay ¥300 for the washing machine which goes through a typical wash cycle and ¥300 for 15 minutes in the dryer which might not sufficiently dry a big load of clothes. I think I needed to do two 15-minute drying sessions for about 7-8 days worth of clothes.
@@TadashiTravelTours Sounds good! Thank you! We are going for 2 weeks and I was thinking of packing two weeks worth of clothes and I did mock packing.. and my luggage was overweight. So, I’m going to just pack for 7 days and wash it. Great video by the way! 😊
@joycer7 ah for a 2 week trip, I would suggest 8-9 days of clothes which gives you a set of clothes to wear on the day you wash 7 days of clothes, and maybe an extra day of clothes just in case. Enjoy your Kyoto trip - that is exciting!

Hi Bernie4689. The Chapter Kyoto does not have a club lounge for those with Marriott Platinum status and above - instead they offer a breakfast buffet at their restaurant, Chapter Grill, between 7am - 10am. Chapter Grill’s breakfast buffet normally costs ¥3,880 (about $28) per person.
