- The Inogen One G3 may be an excellent choice for your oxygen therapy medical treatment. This tutorial will guide you through setting up your Inogen One G3 Portable Oxygen Concentrator for the first time. Make sure that you also read your “Getting Started” guide and user manual first before using your Inogen One G3 for your respiratory therapy medical treatment.
Get started with your Inogen Oxygen Concentrator. You won’t need any special tools or expertise. Once you’ve carefully unpacked everything from the box, you’ll have what you need to get set up.
From there, this video will guide you through the basics of turning your oxygen concentrator on and adjusting the flow setting to your prescribed flow rate. You’ll also learn how to do the following:
Ensure you have every part placed correctly onto your Inogen One G3.
Properly place your oxygen concentrator in the carry bag.
Connect your unit to a power supply at home or on the go, whether it’s in use or not.
Attach your nasal cannula to the unit and position it on your face.
You’ll also get advice on how to manage long trips away from your home by using a combination of adequate batteries and good charging habits before and during your time away from home using the Inogen One G3’s charging accessories.
Finally, you’ll learn about your telephone appointment with an Inogen nurse or respiratory therapist after receiving your oxygen concentrator and how to test your oxygen levels while using your portable oxygen concentrator. You’ll also find out what to do with the required paperwork you receive.
You may need to get accustomed to the sensation of using your new Inogen One G3 at first, but you’ll soon discover the mobility that can come with using Inogen One Portable Oxygen Concentrators for your oxygen therapy medical treatment.

Hi, I am a 'clinical professional' and would like to know how to determine the appropriate flow rate for my clients. Is there an easy way to convert from L/min or is it necessary to check each clients O2 sats on each level of the machine to determine which level is right for them?
You are not a qualified 'clinical professional' if you are asking UA-camrs how to do your job.
I’m new to all this. What does the G stand for? What is the difference in the 3, 4, and 5?
G stands for generation. Please visit Inogen.com to view all of our models and their different benefits.
G stands for Generation. The main differences are the flow settings available and weight associated with each one.
My Inogen one says not charging and don't show a charge on battery. It's been sitting a year with battery in it .how due I get it to take a charge
Hi. I have the same problem. Have you been able to find the solution? Thank you.
A year? Oh my goodness. Do you have a different battery you can try to use and take that one out?
1.If I'm using this on battery, then how long will the battery take to discharge completely?
2. Can I use this on power connected when staying home?
1. The InogenOne adjusts it's oxygen production rate to match the oxygen demand specified by the user flow setting. when the device is used at a lower setting, the battery life is extended. The G5 battery lasts up to 13.5 hours!
2. yes. the battery does not need to be installed if the AC and/or DC power cord is attached.
What is the highest liter flow available, and is it continuous or pulsed?
Like why would they give a puls ox if it has to be returned with paperwork??
This is a great video and thank you for doing this. But I have a question for you. I work for a home care provider and we are starting to stock the G3 for use in our rental fleet as well as to be purchased by our customer. I want to know if there is a way to put this into a self test mode so it will "Puff" on it's own. I am asking this because I want to be able to test the O2 purity and test the battery life. Any input you would have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Gonzalo si deseas comprar este concentrador te puedo ayudar con la informacion yo estoy en Peru comunicate al email mramirezchi@yahoo.com
The oxygen purity is 80% only
Hello hope you can help with some basic info? I’m on oxygen at night and sometimes like 2 to 4 times during the day. It is a regular house size concentrator. The problem is I ride a motorcycle and am wanting to take a weeks vacation down to ‘Tail of the Dragon’. And I’d like to go camping again! Do I need a doctor’s prescription for one or can I buy one on my own? Or do you rent these out occasionally? Thank you
Hi! You do need a RX, but please call us and we can help you with the process w/your doctor.
What would cause the unit alarm display read Low Oxygen? Battery is full!
thats what is happens to mine also
Need to clean the input. Filter.
What year was the Inogen One G3 made?
Can I use the portable oxygen while charging?
Yes absolutely
I can never find any details of what they five flow settings are my mom needs 2 and 1/2 not 2 or 3
Please call us at 855-434-0079
The liter flow does not come in 1/2. It is either 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 liters per min
My husband is a nose breather and needs a continuous flow of oxygen is this unit for him. If not does Inogen have a continuous flow concentrator that is as light as this one?
There is an Inogen at Home continuous concentrator.

How do I know the liters of oxigen they are given to the patient? It only says setting 1,2,3,4
Please refer to this manual -www.inogen.com/pdf/96-06946-00-01-A-User-Manual-Inogen-One-G3-English-Only-YellowLED-web.pdf. It equates to flow setting x 210. :)
It is in Liters per minute. I am on 3LPM so I have mine set at 3. If you are on 2LPM you set it to 2... etc
@@511dawn so if my dad is at 3litter set on setting 3 ??
@@christine70360 Yes although they tell you they dont specify on purpose... Your Doctor/Pulmonologist will tell you the setting...
@@InogenInc all it says is "Set the Inogen One® G3 Concentrator to the flow rate prescribed by your
physician or clinician." How does the clinician know what numbers 1-4 corrispond to on your particular product?
Buenas noches queria saber si se puede cambiar de idioma?.. Gracias.
My concentrator night air coming out. What do you think is the issue. Thanks
You should slow down i didn't understand parts of the video.
Please call us at 877-466-4364 and we will be happy to assist you.
what % oxygen does this device provide?
1-5 LPM Each Setting number 1-5 is equivalent to 1-5 LPM/02, No half lpm available.
The G3 specifically delivers up to 1050 ml/min of 90%(+6%/-3%) oxygen.
Do you have 10LPM Oxygen Concentrator.
How to remove the battery
Yo kiero uno estoy mui mala de asmática.
Tengo Medical.i mediker..😱
The user manuals of G3 and G4 (the products I searched) doesn't specify the oxygen flow in Liters/ min (or equivalent for pulse dose concentrators) for users to decide if the product is suitable for them. Shame on you Inogen
Hi Felipe, thank you for your feedback. We intentionally do not state a liter per minute range since portable oxygen concentrators are not based on a liter per minute basis, rather it utilizes a flow setting. The settings loosely translate to the lpm's you are familiar with using. Roughly speaking, the G2 has flow settings 1-6 (similar to 1-6 LPM), G3 has settings 1-5 (similar to 1-5 LMP), and G4 has settings 1-3 (similar to 1-3 LPM).
We recommend all patients are titrated to confirm their required setting. If you choose to obtain the Inogen through your insurance, we typically complete this titration for you. If you purchase the equipment, your physician can titrate you.
Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!

Hilarious tv commercial! It says inogen makes oxygen from the air around you. Lol. The air around me is oxygen. I cant stop laughing!
You don’t know what you are talking about. Normal air only has 21% oxygen with the remainder being mainly nitrogen. This is fine for healthy patients.
However for those who suffer breathing problems they require a higher concentration of oxygen than the 21% contained in the atmosphere, and the idea is that these machines provide the oxygen input for patients well above the normal .
why the music????????? It is NOT NEEDED
@Dmitriy Chernoshey new product?
