Well, I'm impressed you hit the board from distance. My shoulder is so shot, I would have to wait till they charged me, then give them an uppercut with it....No way I could even toss it that far probably!

if you chunked that thing at an "enemy" it wouldn't matter if it stuck in just getting hit with 2lbs of iron flying at speed should do the trick.

that is why the hi-point is the best hand gun after ammo is out it makes a good club or projectile itself ;)

I think that's actually the purpose, based on Cold Steel's demo. It's supposed to be thrown as a blunt weapon, and not for sticking. As long as you throw it in the right direction, it will do damage no matter how it hits. Sticking it is actually more impressive and would be icing on the cake. I just ordered one so I'm excited to test it out.

If a person is skilled in throwing these torpedo's, I can see multiple reasons to use something like these torpedo's as opposed to a gun. If a person has experienced real combat in certain environments, and is tactical minded this tool could be a life-saver! If not skilled with the torpedo it could be your worse enemy. Two pounds of steel at 20 to 30 feet would go halfway threw a person. I'll stick with a 22 for small game and AR-15 or 30-30 rifle for larger game. However there are more uses for a sharp knife!

As far as the throws go, i would imagine that the farther away you go, the more your throuwing technique and force must be changed. Thats just my two cents. Thanks for sharing. I might try to make one of them .

My guess is this should be done as a half spin throw and stick. It has way too much mass and rotational energy to stick without wanting to keep rotatating and pop out. Scientifically speaking of course.
