I worked on the packaging for that Album. He used many images of the house in the CD insert. He did A LOT. But it was epic. That album art looked amazing.
First of all: you rented your place to PRINCE. OF COURSE he's gonna make it his own. Second: $95K/month!? No complaints necessary. Third: Prince just gave you invaluable items to RESELL AT AN AUCTION. I would've kept quiet so I can resell some of his furniture!! That's how you do business!!

I managed (The Artist Formerly Known As) Prince's house in Beverly Hills in the mid 90s and can report he did nearly all those same things to that house - purple carpet, hair salon, etc. - he didn't mention the black out windows in the bedroom (he basically slept during the day) or the tanning bed. Too funny to hear that some things never change.

Its funny because some people sell their houses with all the furniture in it becauae of the expense of moving everything. Prince rented a house moved everything out, redecorated, left the Country and put it all back amd had a rug fpr the driveway. Oh my, thats crazy.

Legally speaking, Prince had the right to decor and bring his own furniture to his rented place, the guy risk himself to be sue back, because the dude based his claims by stopping by the house before contract was due. Once contract was due, the house should be the same, like any other rented place. This is a stupid story.
He didn't mention Prince had a wall knocked down in the house to combine 2 rooms. They rebuilt the wall after he left
