A lot of people are giving Zoë flak for "disrespecting Prince," as though he were some sacred artefact. It can be exhausting to feel that you have to entertain someone you respect but don't know very well. It's quite possible to admire someone, appreciate their time, but still breathe a sigh of relief after they are gone, and you no longer have to be "on".
She clearly said how much she is a fan how much she appreciated him but a little reminder, Lenny is her dad who is as large an icon as Prince.

That was a pretty funny story about Prince. My favorite part is when Prince had a Purple Rain flashback, and Zoe actually got annoyed by Prince needing her undivided attention, for a long period of time, even though she’s a big fan. 😂
I don't think for a moment Prince was hitting on her. If you're a Prince fan you know Lenny Kravitz and Prince were very good friends; often performing together at each others concerts. To Zoe, Prince was annoying because he was her father's friend and he hanging around. To Prince he was being the supportive; yet protective Uncle. For all we know Lenny may've told him to keep an eye out. I have many uncles and male cousins; and a Father and when I was growing up and I bumped into them at a club or even their friends at a club they stuck to me like glue; because men know the mentality of other men. Prince was purposely blocking and scoping Zoe's crowd. Zoe knew this; which is why she wanted him to leave.

Back in the 80s I did security at Joe Louis arena in Detroit. In 88, I believe, when Prince did "The Lovesexy", I got a chance to see him up close back stage. His security wouldn't let ANYONE get close enough to touch him but I was able to let him know how much of a fan I was. I hollered to him that "Still Waiting" was my favorite song. We were called The Pit Crew because we protected the front of the stage so crazy fans would have to get through us to get to the stage. Before the show started Prince would come out and practice on ALL the instruments. The man was a GENIUS. While practicing the keyboards Prince played the beginning of "Still Waiting". I don't know if he heard me but it was THE coolest night.

People in this comment section are being annoying and rude but what’s new 🙄 She clearly says in this interview that he wasn’t hitting on her and didn’t act inappropriately towards her-she says this several times in fact, yet people would still rather believe their TMZ-esque version of events. It sounded like he just wanted to hang out. He didn’t suddenly get in contact with her once she was 18; he happened to see her at a club and decided to say hi. That’s it. He didn’t try to kiss her or make inappropriate comments towards her or even ask her out. I'm not feeling this. At all. First, why is Jimmy trying to make Prince to be some perv who would be interested in his friend's daughter just because she was 18? I had some expectations clicking on this, but that was hard to watch.
Prince would get online back in the day and pretend to be someone else. He would go to different chat rooms and talk for hours. He would ask the ppl if they liked Prince and his music. People had no clue. Prince also gave away quite a bit of his music when he was online. Ppl would freak out when they realized what was happening. Prince was in a place in his life where he could have a good time and make ppl happy. Can't say the dude didn't live it.✌🦋☘
