- We're in Covington, Louisiana. You have to visit this small town. Nestled just north of New Orleans, this quaint town is bursting with Southern hospitality. We area camping at Fontainebleau State park. Our fist stop is Abita natural spring and Abita brewery. We have dinner at The Chimes. Te next morning we have to get our Cafe Du Monde fix. After that we found a Wildlife Sanctuary where they take you on a tour through the park. The Global Wildlife safari park has ton of exotic animals and you get to feed them! For dinner that night Kellie made a peperoni pizza.

I had a giraffe feeding experience years ago that is a core memory for me. There is something so special about them!

Those trees were amazing and looked like something out of the movies or a painting.
I worked for a family in mandeville, had no idea this was nearby. I’ve seen the elephant sanctuary near Hebert springs arkansas but not this park. Will definitely have to cross the bridge and see this

Thank y'all for highlighting an area of Louisiana that I am very familiar with. We have family there and visit often. The Global Wildlife Center is a big draw worth the time and Abita Brewing Company does make the best root beer around...and the beer is great as well. Stay safe and come back soon !!!!!
I have lived in Covington my whole life. I’ve been to Global Wild Life, The Chimes and Fontainebleau S.P. countless times! They truly never disappoint! Watching this from someone visiting was a pleasure to see from another pov! Thank you for enjoying the place I call home.

Wow! The sounds of those tree frogs is so relaxing! I hope you hear that at night. That Spanish moss in those trees has to be the most beautiful sight ever! I have to go there!

My brother lives a mile from this park. He loves Abita Beer. Enjoy. We will be there in August on our way to SD and then to Tetons, etc. Enjoy .Think we were at Cafe du Monde about 2 in the morning one time, but things are a bit fuzzy. Great video!

I live in Covington, two miles from that spring. Thank you for making our town look so good! Fontainebleau State Park is my favorite camping spot! I hope you got to see all the wildlife that walks throughout the park. So many deer!! If you’re ever back and tent camp, lock your zipper! The raccoons will rob you blind! 😂

Chimes is our place to hang great choice but wow, you were so close to some of my favorite places I could’ve taken you both on my famous tour. I give all my guest. They talk about it for years. I love experiencing my city through others eyes. It’s so much fun.

That’s where I grew up! Excellent job Cody on pronouncing all those place names. The last time I was in Fountainbleu State Park, I got eaten alive by the chiggers. I stopped counting at 100 bites, there were many more. I had a job near that safari park but never went inside. It was fun to see your experience there.

I was very surprised to see my hometown in a UA-cam video. I’m glad Yall enjoyed it. Global wildlife is a special place and my kids love it. I grew up in that area so it was just a part of life for me lol. Next time yall come out, checkout Madisonville, La. About 15 minutes away from the fountainbleau state park. Lake road is very beautiful and Morton’s has good seafood. Also, the lakefront is very beautiful and there are many restaurants to eat. Yall were about 5 minutes away from the lake front. Also one more place, Leonardo’s in mandeville is the most authentic Italian restaurant around and they are from Italy. The nicest people.
I wish I could do something like this!! I love animals and being able to be that close would be truly special. Sadly I can't do anything like this due to my handicap. It's awesome to watch 👍

So glad you’re in my neck of the woods. You should go to Avery Island and tour the Tabasco factory and see those beautiful oak trees. Some of the prettiest you’ll ever see. Love this video and all your others.

We stayed at Fontainebleau State Park for a week last summer. It is a beautiful park! And there is so much to do in the area, NOLA, the cemeteries, restaurants, the plantations, etc. Have fun!

Check out the Red Bluffs in Foxworth, Mississippi, for an awesome hike, stunning views, and old train wreckage. It's a beautiful area to visit.

Cafe du Monde, I used to run 6 miles in New Orleans in the morning, then I'd get a sack of beignets to take back to my hotel room. The perfect combination of healthy and unhealthy!
