I have to say, I am so glad I found this video. I did as shown in the video and my top works with no leaks! Thank you! Also I just got a standard o-ring multi pack from autozone and it worked perfectly.
Looks good. I tryed power steering stop leak, with no luck. I plan on flushing that out and putting back new fluid after the repair. What fluid should I use?
Based on the information in this video (Thank you!) I made a little more complete video showing this process work, I linked back to this video in my description too. ua-cam.com/video/S5XVvqXm6h4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Corey%27sGarage
Sorry, for some reason the last video was deleted from my account. I searched through my videos but deleted it off my phone. This did work great. not a leak. I had to do the other side later in the year as it started to leak.
My 2007 SAAB 9-3 convertible is leaking at the front passenger A-pillar. I suspect the ram to lock the roof is leaking, probably from a dried out o-ring. Do you know if this can be accessed without removing the whole convertible roof?
I used a band saw to cut around the crimped end. You can use a hacksaw to do the same thing. You are just cutting into the thickness of the outer ram body. If you cut in too far, it is no big deal. The end you are cutting is just a slug with no sealing surfaces. Just make sure everything is de burred and smooth before reassembly. This is what causes the Oring to be cut from the factory and leak.
Great video. I just repaired my leaking cylinder. Works great. Thanks for the help!
Thank you so much, saved me over 400.00 I replaced the left and right taunue cover with no leaks after 10 cycles.

I don't have it anymore.
what size of orings are needed for ram and tiny one at fluid inlet/outlet. Do you have a source for these?

Good video
But.......
I can't find part one
And can't find part three
Would really liked to have seen them.
Part 1 is just me describing the problem and showing where the ram is located.
How did you get the bottom off?
